how would we feel if a foreign group were sat on our borders playing aggressive games, that one way the Russian see these events...and l have heard..the Russians love their children too

were all on a journey ..don`t know how long we got to go...that`s not easy

 Always had a `stewardship of resources` awareness, always had some implant of `reaching out`, its not really  own vision, just `better with God `way of seeing things

Myself find best fit of understanding God ..well its by better, different way of following Jesus.

Most of people like me are`Misfits`..uncomfortable with label but comfortable being a`Misfit`.

Make space to listen, something l have experienced. Actively listen so whole body opens up , feel with the other.

Like to read the Bible, finding better values,

but discover in films/pop songs,same values. Liberated by conversation , discussion. Reflective.. but also loud.

Love Van Gogh,love more his story, His journey.Ignited inside (Spiritual) by belonging,creating belonging, being part of community.

In my head there is all kind of thoughts, my actions are working out of some these thoughts.

What l mean by Dickensian...

 Yes its rooted in a literacy genius ..who saw around him poverty, harsh oppressive experiences.
His quiet Christian faith was enough to try bring change.
The overcrowded slums,
work(house) conditions, exploitation,
poor diet.
hooligan attitudes, lack of economic well being, lack of social welfare.
Unjust actions...etc..
So being  a writer, in his field of work, created narrative, shared through storytelling, parables, literature told his reflections.
Social commentary followed, others already aligned in some areas, brought ,tried to bring, change to these issues.
Today hundreds of years after Charles Dickens commentated through his books.
The conditions remain...Dickensian conditions, oppressive, harsh, neglected, tough unfair lives being lived in 2022 like then in 1800.
Poverty like a cloak it surrounds those many living now like then.

low Wages, insufficient benefits, mental health, cold ,lack of social cohesion, all mount up to more difficult life's.

Been told by fair few  they are not living, telling me that...this.. ThIs is not Life.

I carrying that weight, as l pul into seaside town the one they forgot to close down.

Yes guessed correctly. .everyday feels like Sunday.

So again cancel culture is raising its head with documentary coming to C4 including one with great John Cleese, he been on of our greatest comedy entertainers, Life of Brain..Fawlty towers..The Holy grail..film Fish called Wanda..but loved the books about families and how to survive them with Robyn Skinner.

Does the church fix us and can it play a role fixing society.

Faith, spirituality, church generally recruits wide arc of people , that as it should be,we attract people with different trauma. 

 Faith, following Jesus, taught even reading Bible, Has all kinds of promises to help,but it usually doesn’t  . .

So hurt people continue to be hurt people.

l found that some promote a culture where `Help` is going to arrive,this system doesn’t exist. 
Some things we believe the Church. Faith,Spirituality provide.
Can be found anywhere. We can hear the music and concerts elsewhere,better still go to a real concert.  We can have communion ,fellowship with people elsewhere.  Small groups are just as easy walking in nature or held elsewhere, no reason to involve an organization in that? 
Even less involve someone whose only qualification is in some league of academia.
Most of that stuff can be found elsewhere and better.
Recap Music, fellowship, communication, talks, listened too, belief systems.
Many times without the toxicity.
Some lectures , or sermons better not heard at all.
Church is not irrelevant, just been prepacked perhaps by systems Christian community created in first effort.

Enjoying waiting for the revolution

Were learning again for the `betterment of community` to be with each other.

Having more cups of tea and coffee

Talking longer, enjoying sat near a tree watching the winter wildlife.

  The dying ones, once glorious,

Sometimes when out walking l look up at trees, listen for the Birds singing...They now have all these special names for chilling out touching connecting with nature.But for myself it always been a thing l do, way l  am, behaviour  adapt to being part of me.
Reading books, time with others developing relationships, building community, belonging together was always what we did not,` special vocational direction`.
Wrestling with theology..how make sense of God.. That been part of the narrative invested in, stuff l do. Culture informed sense of who l am, where come from, direction would like to take.Never meant to be something that almost unobtainable without clever guidance.
These days finding yourself, has become some `spiritual hippie trip`, which needs money to gain access.Pandora's box of  Difficult patterns, that have commercial price is not something l recognise.
There a `walk and talk` style of counselling available in east riding of Yorkshire, not cheap, Have we become a society that charges and looks for profit when we should simply support each other best we can freely.

My faith, my understanding of lot things , has had some `cognitive dissonance`, changed what l believe, been conflicted, chosen differently about what accepted to be truth.

Argued within myself, discussed with others, read wider, made same view.

listened deeper, sought the alternative, digested differently.

still try to do, l change, fail, succeed, Question, wrestle.

Life is never simple,not easier as you get older.

  One More Cup has vision of a life that is outside the norm, most certainly outside the hurly-burly of life.

Saturday time for chilling, been in hospital several times this week

visiting Matthew,(my son), he is doing really well, further had to travel do stuff for others.

Took a food bag to client.

Served others at Charity cafe, loved the sense of belonging we are trying to crate.

Reflected on meaning of some theology.

God was given tome thanks he deserved.

Played squash 5 times this week

Walked whatever the weather in freezing cold and damp, every Day.

Worried about other stuff. . . not ill son.

Walked along hedges and drove grassy country lanes exploring wildlife.

Matty was getting more ill but enjoyed drives,

it came pretty quick being unhealthy.

Winter feels slow, cold and chilly . . he is safer in warmth of Hospital bed... but like loves l lost l feel cold in memories that l cannot do anything.

Another friend lost a grandson, a neighbour has passed over.

Words are not enough.

Words really do not count.

Prayers are hard to form.

l talked with him, he has to be brave..empathy l can share, you see l understand this issue,shared the pain uncertainty, isolation , being alone.

we all got some empathy with another about `being in a crisis`.

We have all got . . ` a bit or better  . .understanding  . .all of us.

Best way to regroup

This thing could be with us for years more
It already been here for two years.
I been expelled, ignored, ridiculed, verbally assaulted, had health issues put back,three brothers experienced illnesses.

But the lack of community, belonging been greatest lose.
We have regrouped.
Changed way we communicate.
Vulnerability become bigger
Finding difficult to do what I know should.

But way we outcast others.
What are you making about what is happening, can l understand the stupidity because it's clear there is some of that, Political parties fought each other. When like Poverty they could have combating this in union.
