So again cancel culture is raising its head with documentary coming to C4 including one with great John Cleese, he been on of our greatest comedy entertainers, Life of Brain..Fawlty towers..The Holy grail..film Fish called Wanda..but loved the books about families and how to survive them with Robyn Skinner.
Does the church fix us and can it play a role fixing society.
Faith, spirituality, church generally recruits wide arc of people , that as it should be,we attract people with different trauma.
Faith, following Jesus, taught even reading Bible, Has all kinds of promises to help,but it usually doesn’t . .
So hurt people continue to be hurt people.
l found that some promote a culture where `Help` is going to arrive,this system doesn’t exist.
Some things we believe the Church. Faith,Spirituality provide.
Can be found anywhere. We can hear the music and concerts elsewhere,better still go to a real concert. We can have communion ,fellowship with people elsewhere. Small groups are just as easy walking in nature or held elsewhere, no reason to involve an organization in that?
Even less involve someone whose only qualification is in some league of academia.
Most of that stuff can be found elsewhere and better.
Recap Music, fellowship, communication, talks, listened too, belief systems.
Many times without the toxicity.
Some lectures , or sermons better not heard at all.
Church is not irrelevant, just been prepacked perhaps by systems Christian community created in first effort.
