who switched the price tags

it used to be that we sang hallelujah
now its switch the price tags
make fun of God
use Jesus name as swear word
and honour Evil

marius and the cannabis plant

Marius can be really daft at times but he an OK kid really
His plan well l could be arrested.

Brother laurentus shortly before he tried to steal a budgie by hiding it down his shirt
no its true
They may be coming to see me soon with their families,
where does the time go ?

kidz and spooky time of year

never sure what the attraction is
did we import this Halloween S**i** from America or did l just not notice it when young?
true l was mischievous
no true it is!
but this is just a legal day of causing mischief
however these to girls are never innocent at the best of times.

This image is pretty spooky too late at night
I could imagine some drunk stood talking to this plague for ages
yet again another tribute to the past

We glorify the past when the futures dead ahead.

taking some head stuff to bed with me at present

Beautiful youthie persons engaging

beautiful youthie persons engaging.

Several stages of our youth groups life
after a stroll, here we have used the locality to our advantage, the talking.
Sharing,
Laughing,
Belonging,
connecting.
Just simply being away from parents,
my dad (bless him) used to say "get out and get the stink blown of you"!
There we are ...doing just that.

This is more active, perhaps witness change of youth worker.
Here it's Chris, (above you can see Mahmoud). Ths is much more about being energised.
Good time for head space and clearing out.
leads to tiredness.
Later sharing of food then some
reflecting...years later meet up with young person.
Who shares how valuable experiences activities this were.

Canoeing always great fun,
keeps me fit as well.
But the,' Risk assessments' are difficult. Administrative must be completed and followed

Safeguarding always factor in this process.
Always got to keep eye on events, behaviour, and of course the tide.

its a long way down

there are 2 routes down roseberry topping
one needs to stroll down very easy
the other way is very steep
much harder to climb up as well
here 4 of our youth group go down on thier arses (bums)

both ways are very beautiful
the sun is shining and friends are smiling
not every day is like this
but Shannon came into youthie last Wednesday and was stating how much fun it had been.
this is another costless activtie

inbetweenies

as the nights close in and temperates drop
begin to realise the years is coming to an end
reflect a little on this period
not been an easy one for any that l know
as tide and time move on
it hard for us
l am aware very deeply of the difference between North and South
Poor and Rich
Workers and those seeking employment

good fit time in the park

we had a really good time last Monday and hope to have same at another venue on Friday
this is just run of the mill stuff but can be difficult l think its about planning
being ready for the unexpected
recently l had to travel to Hull and was not surprised that a similar activity
had become a source of violence and disturbance
l tend not to be activity involved and more on the sidelines as this picture shows
making sure the planning has gone along the way it should
the key from the Hull experience is listen

perhaps some are talking without using words

Issues like anger between youths should be challenged there and then.
it IS not about winning but taking part
its about the fun,
Also don`t duplicate.
if there is someone else running footie let them
we are running a general sports day for youth and friends
not entering a league or finding the most skillful
that's the area of other providers.
these few simple ethics appear to work with our youths.

one of the most beautiful sounds

One of the most beautiful sounds

you will ever hear last evening around 10 minutes to 8, in the evening. As the tide rolled across the beach

Just stood on cliff face almost too dark with low mist

beautiful....

A word that best describes this God presented sound

back in the day

Just been watching smugglers blues on 'youtube '

Those where the days,  mid 80`s on TV and then MTV, going to boxing club, Church,..green ginger man..lots of friends.

Not sure of what was ahead.

But days of my journeying special but . ..

hope

prayers

wish.

That you have your special days.

`l hope the young of today have special moments to look back on`.

just odd one

some journeys are just not worthwhile

some people they make a journey like a breath of cool on a hot day

but some days are more like rust . . . .cold.....

every step is an effort....

there are days like this.....today is one of them.

journeys

my life has been a weird, wonderful journey
never sure about the future.
Felt it been Gods calling on my life,
not really gone with the flow but aware of presence and guidance of the Lord.
Angels.
Events and circumstances have tied together well.
Simply did not expect to be facing poverty most days of my working life.
Found the journey called LOVE difficult one,was this down to my travels?
The way l am?
Or the cards that life deals one?
but l have been settled with little never wanted a lot of money,
or big car,
or large house,
so in many ways that is normal.
My journey been about truthfully can say this,
Trying in a weak and best way l can to shine the love of God and the purposes of Jesus into the life's of others.
I found the kingdom principles and teachings of Jesus relevant,
exciting,
worth wrestling with.
My journey. . . .well still on it.
Relationships the key to happiness?
hard work.

yearly milestone

The fair came and departed
l enjoyed my walk around in the October night
This like a seasonal thing
soon it will be celebration of guy Fawkes then Christmas
and another year has past!

That sounds quite simple occasions,
seasons,
another year older.

Even facing same issues of poverty,
underemployment,
grief,
health.
old dreams dying like a rustic autumn leaf.

jessie

several songs about Jessie include Roberta flack Jesse,

the stairs and the halls, recalling
Your step, and I remember too
All the pictures are shaded and fading in gray
And I still set a place at the table at noon
And I'm leaving the light on the stairs

Joshua keddison Jessie

Jessie paint your pictures 'bout how it's gonna be.
By now I should know better, your dreams are never free.
But tell me all about our little trailer by the sea;
Jessie you can always sell any dream to me.
Oh, Jessie, you can always sell any dream to me.

She asks me how the cat's been. I say, "Moses he's just fine
but he used to think about you all the time.
We finally took your pictures down off the wall.
Oh, Jessie, how do you always seem to know just when to call?"
She says, "Get your stuff together. Bring mose and drive real fast."
And I listen to her promise, "I swear to God this time it's gonna last."

inflation rate high support low

so this is justice

today the government calculates the inflation rate and six months later will apply this to those on benefits
so this is justice
you must be joking
you must be joking
if this is justice

And its getting better NOT

The IFS forecasts two years "dominated by a large decline" in incomes, pushing 600,000 more children into poverty,

By 2013 there will be 3.1 million children in poverty in the UK, according to the IFS projections.

A Department for Work and Pensions spokesman said benefits changes would tackle poverty by "making work pay".

LOL

all those years ago l heard this call.
I accepted
, , ,follow
l Had no idea
but the creator said to me `Follow`.
That's it,

l had Little idea really about life!
or trails,
or where,
Put very simply, it was this . . . follow me.

most of my life has been about communicating with others to do the same.

its Hull fair time again

used to get so excited not for the rides
we never had enough money for that
but everyone liked talking about the excitement at school
even going along as a youth club from Church

still today l just like the walking around
the smells watching the coulers
the thrill in the cold October nights
also states Christmas is coming

sat 14.25 seen in a shopfront

an english mans home is his castle

(till the queen moves in)

l have now added
then she leaves takes the castle,
He ends up walking round his moat

SOLOMON BURKE
Don't Give Up On Me ANTI 2002

The premise was ridiculously simple: provide the rotund soul legend with songs from the likes of Bob Dylan, Brian Wilson, Tom Waits, Van Morrison, Nick Lowe and Elvis Costello; surround him with skilled, simp tico musicians; press "record" and let it happen. Cut in just four days by producer Joe Henry, Burke's comeback LP set the template for a succession of reclamation projects that paired veteran artists with handpicked material. Warm, immediate.

Bob Dylan
"Love And Theft" Sony 2001

Dylan's first album of the 21st century was a kaleidoscopic engagement with the American songbook in all its vast and energising diversity that could also be heard as a musical autobiography and an informal history of America itself. The pensive gloom of '97's Time Out Of Mind was banished, replaced by a wry, sexy playfulness, and a lot of daft jokes. Stylistically, the album embraced with abundant confidence country, rockabilly, ragtime, vaudeville, languid jazz, hard blues and Western swing. "Love And Theft"'s release on September 11, 2001, added an ominous resonance to its dramatic centrepiece, the apocalyptic "High Water (For Charley Patton)".
utterly free of artifice, these performances brought a human heartbeat to the oscillating ones and zeros of the Pro Tools era

Robert Plant and Alison Krauss
Raising Sand ROUnder 2007

An album of "dark, sexy Americana" was in every respect the last thing anybody - Jimmy Page, especially, you have to think - expected of Robert Plant. Raising Sand, recorded in Nashville with Grammy-winning bluegrass singer and fiddle player Alison Krauss and producer T-Bone Burnett, was a unilateral triumph, by some distance Plant's best solo work. A regal celebration of the diversity of American roots music, it was also the album that denied the world the Zeppelin reunion it had long demanded, Plant preferring to tour with Krauss and Burnett.

FLEET FOXES
Fleet Foxes BELLA UNION 2008

Technically Robin Pecknold and
the Fleet Foxes originated from Seattle, but many listeners to their debut could've been forgiven for imagining they came from a kind of American Arcadia, such was the bucolic magic summoned up by the 11 tracks. Ostensibly another five bearded indie-rockers with a taste for their parents' folk records, Fleet Foxes effortlessly transcended such a stereotype, thanks to Pecknold's calm gifts of melody and their unwavering, beatific harmonies.

BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN
The Rising COLUMBIA 2002

Springsteen's response to 9/11 reunited him with the E Street Band to thrilling effect, and gave him his biggest seller since 1987's Tunnel Of Love. Some of the songs predated the attack on the Twin Towers - "My City Of Ruins" actually celebrated Asbury Park - but they were given sharp new focus by their changed context. "Waitin' On A Sunny Day" in particular was made suddenly ominous. Springsteen's response was a positive rallying call, at its strongest on the hymn-like anthem "Into The Fire".

20
AMY WINEHOUSE
Back To Black Island 2006

Forget the headlines, the hairdo, the ex-husband: it was Amy Winehouse's excellent second album that made her a star. At once comfortably familiar (thanks to co-producer Mark Ronson's warm, knowing retro-soul flourishes) and dangerously confessional (her explicit, diaristic lyrics), it felt like an "instant classic" on release, and soon launched a slew of less-talented copyists. None of whom were capable of singing - or indeed writing - songs as exquisitely melancholy as the title track, or the perfect torch song "Love Is A Losing Game".

Where l would like to be now part 3.

Where l would like to be now part 3. Also just fills me with deep longing to be at this port in Crekewra and either going to walk to Paradise Bay, perhaps get on board meet friends at Mosta or stay on, meet up in Valletta.

Enough now, Back to the job application.

application forms souls destroying

its a thin line between love and hate
thin line between success and failure
its an even thinner line between ringing up some of these job providers
and ringing their necks
and just trying to fill in the application.
l am at the end of my Tevet,
just cannot believe what they ask for on application forms.
It ranges from just a CV to several theology thesis on stuff that just wipes myself out.
They intellectualise a job description resulting in so many hurdles,

the interesting job, just loses all appeal
this sounds like a rant
but how can we meet the lost generation
when the application forms are so soul destroying

LAUGHTER

This is a bit Facebook
but just tipped Jordie P out of the canoe and the fun just shows on my face.
l don't look like a Hollywood star
but for laughter.
That day canoeing in the North sea at Sands end takes some beating.

Photo Ban at Whitby's Gothic Graveyard

On 3 October 2011, on Radio 2 Paddy O'Connell sat in for Jeremy vine,he discussed the news that visitors have been banned from taking also posing for photos at "Dracula's Cemetery" in St. Mary's Church, home to the Whitby Gothic Weekender event.l listened and here is my view along with one other.

Ruth in Leeds has been to Whitby Gothic Weekender and sent this email:

"I can't believe that the church has decided to ban people form having their photo taken in the churchyard! This is just another example of the narrow minded attitude of the mainstream church, not taking the time to sit down with the Goth community and actually understand what they are all about.

I can understand if it is disrupting the peace of the place, there are rather a lot of us at Whitby Goth Weekend, and we tend to swamp the place, or if there is any damage being done to the graves, but not simply out of discrimination.

I have always enjoyed wandering around the church (dressed in full Goth), because I feel a spiritual christian peace there, I love that church.

I thought that the mainstream church might have been more embracing of us, after all, the amount of revenue it brings to Whitby at either end of the tourist season is substantial!"

l had mixed view from own experience of this weekend
the cavorting around gravestones, almost naked is distressing.but the glamour makeup costumes and attitude of the whole group has been really good.
it just a small minority who like myself should respect the wishes of the diseased families.
Again the Church who have shown a lot of tolerance get criticised for not allowing something that is actually disrespectful.

Youthie out teeside

When we go out `n` about we find a place for young people to escape from the everyday and discover more about the richness and feelings that make us human – while learning to climb, fall, sharing food, some for the first time, supping cups of tea and cans of coke. But also meeting random people in random remote places.

Here's  few young people who really enjoy the community fun aspect of meeting others.
Some of our group are in their 5th year with this God inspired work.

health and a elderly man

my health is not what is has been.
This is that thing called getting old so no real worries!
but it can be difficult accepting,
that one is not strong or as fast, or fit as one used to be.
Despite this l am still sharp and able to achieve this climb.
Thank you Lord...life.......

roseberry topping 2011

roseberry topping 2011 was as good as all the previous years some young people where doing the climb for the fourth year
massive well done
the synergy fun chats sharing
all gets a dividend for the rest of the month in the more generic youth work environment

the weather has been barmy very hot and unseasonal for the time of year
as Lil chis said its 84 days to Christmas
here we were in t shirts climbing a mountain
the rustic Autumn coulers all around us

">
its was a day of fun and most everyone climb to the top
but some only went halfway
this was not a problem as l felt no need to be competive
