Reasons to be cheerful 2026.

So they wrote off my home town team like they often done in the past. It's only entertainment just a game of football. That brings excitement hope, dreams. How does that transcend into the daily walk taken by people in Hull, (one letter from Hell).

They wore the colours of thier home town team with pride. Carried shoulders high walking thru the bus station over the footbridge into the stadium to observe various warm up drills. Some carried bags with goodies, drinks, snacks..those with extra had further treats at the ground expensive overrated and unhealthy. The staple diet of the over carbonates locals too many calories, too many deep fried choices, too much money.

The game set off with a crash plus burn approach. This method to collect as many points as you can and climb the league table as soon as the team can.

The commentators over paid and over in Humberside...while the team are Yorkshire based have already made their predictions to write off suggesting relegation fight for Hull city's tigers.

Of course as often most certainly last season City have not read the script. We are proud we are chuffed to bits we are settled and at peace with the world.

Still only a game 'a funny olde game' but today we at Hull city we are the winners.

Art sometimes brings us different focus.

Sometimes time can improve our understanding our sense of what we should view. Others can improve with technology how we perceived things bringing different focus.People with better way of being can see an image then shine alight in to prices compaction. They can with expertise shows us what we may not see at first sight.

True as l'm sat here writing this, it had an impression upon myself was it just me growing up?. Was it just seeing someone wrote something l connected with?  Was it just about place...traditions...and me finding my own independent thinking? .

Still today l'm crossing borders chasing down thoughts, sharing life. Making mistakes trying to hold onto faith.witnessing telly showing me families in chaos on estates like mine. Fearful of a world that was changing. Disappointed in what was evidence to what we desired. It's 2026 and lots of the issues identified in a daft play written for TV. Issues are still sensitive matters for now. Echos to return the poignant troubled moments that get repeated all around us even in this moment.

Hull City brought the curtain down on their pre-season campaign with a goalless draw against OGC Nice at the MKM Stadium on Saturday afternoon. In an entertaining friendly against the French Ligue 1 side, the Tigers had chances to secure victory but were unable to find a way through, and now attention turns to next weekend's big Premier League opener at home to Manchester United

There were a host of questions many coming from my nephew Lain Anthony that still need to be answered. Did his uncle Kev Jinx it by saying...

But according to Lain Anthony before the transfer window closes in a couple of weeks...` It would have been nice to see a goal.`.. However it was nice occasion for his first footie match..

Yes ..'we are all spiritual',...we are each of us, after all made in the image of a loving God.

A day of experience few shouts of excitement conversations mostly about football, as the new season develops. It's hot summer and we watched frustrated game petered out into this nil nil draw .

We loved everything about the game. It's pretty commercial bland experience as pointed out to myself, no atmosphere. But occasionally must simply must engage with the likes of others cultural experience.

Still a lot to be challenged by as autumn beckons.

Had been expelled from school 12 months before  this was a formative summer period. Was this generation falling in love understanding what that meant?

Buying our music? Working learning about being apprentices into life? Youth centre plus Church exposed us to role models that would teach us values about life. We didn't know very much but felt like we knew so much more. Guess we didn't know then that we were going to know much later on in life.

But our playlist was mainly tamla and northern soul. Plus odd progressive track like..

Nice way to be ..

 Some people just spend time thinking about the deeper stuff. It's just the way they are think for a while fact that they do this normally without sense of calling not being commissioned is incorrect. But it's not the kind of thinking thought and reflection leads often a person into ancient art of being a pilgrim. Think about others sojourner life journeys. Feel compassion and longing to walk alongside them through difficulties. That's makes them different. Heaven and earth all the Saints whisper in thirty pondering guiding them anew. This fruitful expertise often brings them into further acts of compassion, grace, concern for others.

Deep wrestling becomes a practice the next day it's often same practice. That develops I to growth it then forms own heritage. Walk with others exploring issue is more of second nature 

That could be you. That could be how you wish to grow it may be fearful it may be risky but it's still an option for each of us. Not religious it's a spiritual practice it's different , maybe feel better way to be. Me... walk with Jesus he remains my guide.

Some people are just not interested in being ...kind...compassionate and grateful.

They are simply not interested in development, growth , concern for others ...wickedness has allowed them to prosper so why should they care.?

 A prominent feature one that is very disturbing and is evident in the gyms l use is the capability of an AI algorithm progress data that sounds like favorite track of music . Its awful such as in computer accompaniment technology, Some one listens too the track of music. They then  organise the computer which further listens to a human performer . Then copies something like that even them in real-time ....WHAT A LOAD OF WICKED BOLONY 

This is a ethical dilemma also choice to steal ,rob and damage the artists scene , damage the original composer thus making a profit from this action. Its wicked, immoral style of bullying plus it is theft.

No other description of the actions. None. So lets stop there.

Its incorrect to profit in this way. YET local authorities are doing this evident in Leisure centres, in museum, education. AI is just a profit without consequence no concern for the workers neither the tools they have developed. Time energy efforts is bypassed as AI trampled others in mainstream it's quite Satanic making it right to not pay the workers his dues.

It's sinful indwelling now in full view and we need to get real, stop this selfish problematic development.

Summer been hitting all the highpoints especially with hot temperature and enjoyment. Lot of free stuff to communicate and gather to watch. So much culturally happening around the street events are dedicated people wanting to bless others, with excitement creativity and humour. This is another sea themed event in Hull where our trawling and deep sea fishing past us celebrated.

Around the cultures l explore often come across couler someone placed into nature so others can also be blessed. Again efforts are visible plus appreciated.

It's Sunday no fellowship but time spent gathering with family later friends to drink cups of tea, chat about the world or just be alongside as others make plans for the week ahead. The issue of hardship poverty plus struggles are coming up much more often. Get the feeling the high cost of food, energy, low wages is hurting people. It's certainly affecting quality of lives that are being lived. Poverty is very visible.

Just another Saturday in August

Nature great place for finding God in his cathedral. But today l found in our gathering a great faith rewarding experience. Simple joy of chatting, reflecting, sharing over a cup of tea. Talking listening sat in silence. Then worked out on a task to do with everyone's health and fitness. No big egos lack of self-importance desire to listen.

Conversations about big issues were covered. Concerns to do with justice for all. Love towards children ..the Youthie ..immigration time and place of indigenous people. Benefits poverty and the struggles. Sharing so exposed something of ourself.

Ended up riding the bus and oldies 70 songs creeped into my memory and stayed a while...Summer that very first time when we first sampled heatwave like the one we are all experiencing now. The sun that year was a demon one ten in the shade and the pavement was steaming. Those gestures, those words, those people, as fresh today perhaps as back then. But the places of that summer were once a difficult hard journey.  My responsibility has been to introduce others to those places mostly along the coast. Places others can build own memories. Make own plans develop own understandings.

Told you before...Memories don't leave like people do they Always stay with you.

Walk on.

               “To wander outside or beyond".

The road less travelled is one many of us  sojourner along. But try and remain in community and improve as individuals.

pains myself that perhaps 5 years from now l will still be having same questions

  The “Me” of few years ago was understanding from different place, things/issues/faith,/ Life, than the “KW” of today. Life is this developing experience that never stops.

You and myself we have are made up of—emotional, creative, intuitive, we are developing daily despite stacks stuff making us into whole human beings. Because we have been asking questions further creating dialogue, enjoy gathering with others. Looking at issues. Some that focus on a world that was never meant to be so violent dangerous and feel so ugly.

Very much of my own daily life and experience depends on relationships with individuals that can be hard to understand. Economic situations that are sometimes desperate for very many of our neighbours. Issues that remain unsolved despite policy and practice that are created to change the stuff just identified.

Where does this leave “me and you”?  What about all those issues we constantly feel powerless to change. What about the situations others are house in?  Again and again on my working practice  nothing appears to change . Programmes developed worked through  lose funding and we end up in very same place worked years to step forward from. My response to the this has always to try again. Now Autumnal reflections causing me to ponder:-

 " How do we prosper How do we improve"?

But what is  astonishing is the gulf between what my experiance has been and the hope we held for our client base. But despite this dilemma. Do we remain extravagant in developing further opportunities to present Kingdom values among those called to serve.

Learned today that extravagant means “to wander outside or beyond". Although l take that slight pride in the description. It pains myself that perhaps 5 years from now l will still be having same questions worrying about same issues recognising same problems.

Steps in and out of Life.

It's funny what others think is spiritual. Devotion is not spiritual it's a act but we all 'board value platforms'. Then when we feel enlightenment perhaps we promote that value as something to attain to achieve. 

Others who struggle to follow these patterns quickly get disheartened.often may feel disappointed so therefore become disenfranchised can feel they can't be a 'spiritual person'.  Often witnessed this mindful also some providers and claim guidance at a cost lessons.  Improve yourself market and faith markets are examples. The practice of being wise is about how can read and reflect. Also often comes with later life experiance. But we can follow wise instructions and as long as the guru allows for setbacks and we should  grow.

Having compassion is another suggested spiritual gift but keep wondering if all these Devotion, wisdom along with compassion are just values we should be embracing this affecting our behaviour and Life pattern. Daily practice of these named and many others well they are the Way we should be.

The Life you and l live, Are we pausing and do we  give time for for cups of tea. Time allocated for reflection...gym space to keep good health in body. Gathering with others is good for our mental health are all steps into better Life. Diet in my own life is a constant discussion . Economic well-being being affect that situation. It's all steps away from despair into better quality of Life.

Don't get disheartened you will be as spiritual without being religious. You will be spiritual without getting into too much isolation. Perhaps some need to retreat get time away often but true spirituality is getting up and onwards each day in life. Guess you know this, it's hard further that climb is often another

step in the road less travelled.

Not everything ends with my observations...

Found that it really good self care to listen to your gut. like spiritual discernment internally...`Hell what does a northern white kid now retired ..well wishful thinking `hell what do l know`.  Big part of me, based on sojourner through Life, my own journey. Well believe that you can work on and heal your inner part, for the most part of own relationship without having to interact with the person, parent, spouse, child, former friend and others who may have trespassed you.

So as often wouldn't rely , just on what l blog about here, like my own narrative might not be important nor relevant to your own experience , how you grasp stuff .Its important l do not presume the journey your Life has taken.

Further my understanding is very dated. If don't loose track my own trajectory been book related. Uncomfortable even go so far has commentating do not like the taught collage counselling nor am l keen on all the modern self help books. Pick up the journal style recording as form of therapy.  

Maybe all the authors of this commentary is achieving and to that view its big. Give you the reader both a sense of another's perspective and chance to dialogue further with mates. We often learn refelctivly when we sat with a cup of tea or coffee thinking about the days events that are ahead or behind us.

Demonstrating Hope, listening to others should breed Hope. hearing from others and the struggles they are facing also they have overcome should fill us with Hope. Hope in  a Hopeless world not bad place to be on a Tuesday in August 2020.

Lord Jesus, when we need to process events and occurrences which leave us shaken, bewildered, uncertain, reassure us of your love, and of your presence. Hold our fears and guide our thoughts, our decisions, our actions; keep us steady on your way and in your peace.

Tough watching a generation become wasted.

It's tough watching a generation become wasted. The covered tattooed bodies. Earrings in nose several in each earlob some in lips and even cheeks. Heads down not observing the beauty of the day. Celebrating longer term breaks and money off bus travelling. School life extended to 19 with collages that don't educate into working Life so desperately needed. Encouraged to practice being non binary. Vaping as an alternative to healthy lifestyle and social media telling you who you should be, where you should be, and where to go to avoid question about how you should be.

It's  tough watching a generation become wasted. But we are witnessing a whole society of self centered, self serving people, dieing slowly of the disease of conceit and own self importance. What good are we if don't seriously offer or model an alternative?
