thinlines

Been out visiting family and friends in Hull.
went to get Mums papers.
She reads 3 a day and the family all do
so they get well read,
town was busy and active at 06.30.
Felt really good shops open along with several cafes,
Also fruit agents getting stuff out on the pavements.
Living very Rural,
sometimes hard to recall what hectic really is.
Here it is very cold, colder then Yorkshire. `isolated`.
People look back fondly.
BUT,
There is a beauty in rural community.
listened to family, friends, so much illness around.
Dementia
Heart failure
Leg pain
Illness
Here l stand,
but grateful for all l am.
all l have been,
all that l still have
Do you have regrets  . . .do l have regrets?
not for myself, yes liked to have had somethings different,
but life doesn`t give you lot of choices.
Life is tough in the north,
foodbanks, lack of employment, prospects, opportunities, . .
Churches providing community relief, but faith community getting stretched.

life is beautiful . .tough
Communications resilience, hard to develop.
grateful for the conversation had last few days.
Plus recent support and friendship l have experienced.
`Hull thinline between heaven and here`,
Rural community, which feels like `thinline between heaven and here`.
Paradise bay, Malta` my idea of heaven on earth`.

Storms....huge weather variates at present

Huge winds brought chills waves and stormy conditions Despite this turmoil Got dressed, got out  Excitement conversation's  Pictures and...

MAYBE WE WON`T MEET AGAIN

. . . she got a postcard in the mail
That just said Heaven, with a picture of the ocean and the beach
The simple words he wrote her
Said he loved her
How he'd hold her if his arms would reach
Wish you were here, wish you could see this place
Wish you were near,Wish I could touch your face
The weather's nice, it's paradise
It's summertime all year and there's some folks we know
They say, "Hello, "
I miss you so, wish you were here"
