Those or these were my days my friends. That we thought would never end. .

I shall always love the memory of you.

Despite the memory fading and me being so ersdible to have kept you close. Don't recall Church that odd large building with so many strange doctrines being so colourful.

Recall the icons being different to my traditions. The funny odd rather deceitful way things changed. There was that diocese funding being moved to Holy shepherd. It was strangely peaceful oddly painful. Tears never far away from Young James death, the Hillsborough incident. Death was a present issue. The eternal candle to remember victim's , schools work street based stuff. The struggle,to survive economically. So much variety strong sense of community.

Then there was you. Loving, kind, happy but always troubled. We became one but that ended. The song recalls better times but my memory doesn't it recognises all the pain. The failed promise expectations of hope but that failed. Former Anfield youth worker moved on and also stayed. Trapped. Would a call to bring the cat and drive real fast still bring echo one wishes to hear.

Never been tested in that way so who knows. But then again l doubt it.suppose this is just one of those nights. Well l think so....

It's wet...it's muddy ..it's cold. It's dark... Love it

we are taught to pray with an
acronym identified as
ACTS

Adoration... confessions..Thanksgiving..and Supplication.

So with that in mind adore God of the great cathedral of nature for cold chilly Autumnal weather we are experiencing as it shows again his majesty and power.

Confess that l fail don't always succeed in being a good witness. Foolish thoughts escape wrong words form.

Thank you for the journey that l have like so many others enough. Sometimes forget that enough is all that's required.

Pray for those suffering loss plus grief at this moment. My journeys had this experience. I am still here.

Thank you Lord.

Meanwhile the Irish try to pretend this life is not important these events didn't happen.

The Mother said Kim called her as Hamas was attacking the party, and asked: “Mummy, what should I do?” Her son took the phone and told her to seek shelter, and that was the last they heard from her. Her body was discovered several days later, and she was buried in Gedera on October 12. Damti is survived by her parents, Jennifer and Gidon, and four siblings. Her family owns the well-known Falafel Damti stand in Gedera, where Kim grew up. Her cousin, Hadas Damti Padlon, described Kim as “beloved, beautiful and good, whose only sin was going to a party to dance and enjoy.” “Kimmy was a source of pride and joy to her parents and siblings,” she wrote. “Kim was a beautiful, gentle, light-filled girl, there was nobody who didn’t love her, she was a ray of sunshine in the world!” Her relative, Nasrin Damti, described Kim as “my angel… I am broken and destroyed and cannot believe that I won’t get to see your beautiful smile anymore. My Kimmy, you were the angel of the family and especially of me. Watch over us from above, and give us the strength to deal with the horrible pain.” At her funeral, her brother Daniel Damti eulogized her and spoke of her final moments. “Kimmy, our flower, my little sister… you were always full of generosity. You left for the party and I told you, ‘Go, have fun, this is your time.'” He said they last spoke at 7 a.m. and she told him she was hiding out in a shelter, “and I was relieved. I didn’t know that that’s where it would end.” “You will always stay in my heart, smart and pure, I’ll never forget you. I promise you I’ll protect everyone, the whole family. Our angel, you will always stay beautiful in our memories,” he said. At the ceremony, her sister, Emily Damti, lamented the loss of “Kimmy, my little sister, my sunshine, my flower girl, my successful, beautiful sister. I can’t get your smile out of my head. I can’t imagine summing up your life when you just started living.”

The armed Palestinian group Hamas attacked Israel on 7 October 2023, killing about 1,200 people and taking 251 hostages.

In response, Israel launched a massive military offensive in Gaza, during which more than 73,000 people have been killed, according to the territory's Hamas-run health ministry, whose figures are considered reliable by the United Nations.

Guess what's missing from the BBC description of events. well there is a few but one that strikes home. The one that hits me first  the one that shows reality of October the 7th .
Attacked INNOCENT....INNOCENT kids and killed INNOCENT including babies.

So now you know....

One of the strange bit puzzling  stories from British press that l decide to glance through this week which Kevin did read was in the Telegraph.

This is  titled “How the far-Right seized on Christianity for moral cover”. I would encourage yourselves to examine the article. My grandma read this newspaper till the end of her days. In poverty in UK.

This article published as a response to the Dover protests at the small boat saga.  One of the main leaders who takes a lot of the flack. ( More in a minute) . Named Danny Tommo (described affectionately as “a convicted attempted kidnapper and far-right activist”. The faith l follow and his commitment to following Jesus is treated with the usual cynicism. Almost every Christian leader who support similar sociopolitical ethics are denounced as fake Christians peddling a false view of the Cross. Using the faith of Christ as intimidation and hate, rather than of the Christian identity of this nation. Nor are they accepting God of Love message either for themselves.

Perhaps we are heading back to the days of the Black prince.
apparently he is well heralded in many places.

The Black Prince was Edward of Woodstock, the eldest son of King Edward III of England and a famous medieval military commander during the Hundred Years' War. Edward was born on 15 June 1330 at Woodstock in Oxfordshire, the eldest son of Edward III. He was created prince of Wales in 1343. He showed military brilliance at an early age, playing a key role in the defeat of the French army at the Battle of Crecy when he was only 16. In 1355, he was appointed his father's lieutenant in Gascony and the following year led another significant victory against the French at Poitiers, taking the French king prisoner.

There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn’t true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true. —Soren Kierkegaard.

The band's first studio album in nine years will be released on November 13th. Silencio, second track from the album, is out now.

It's a point of excitement for those of the U2 followers who are pretty excited. Looking forward to hearing track 12 the last recorded song by Dolly Parton songs of faith, fellowship, Relationships and hope. Well that's what l read someplace.

I was young very early 20s when first got into the above group. I am now decades older. They resonated with myself. Not just Church or sharing same faith. It wasn't for the crowds it was us. Sitting in Church at home or even on street corner.
Some artist have spoken in new parables to myself through the music . Lyrics inspiring myself. Emotional literacy connected. The creative growth journey and issues all connecting with myself. Further communicating via lyrics relevance lyrics love justice wrestling about stuff, the sonic of the sound plus lifestyles U2 band members lived. Faith wrestled with and the issues alive in community they are evident among.
Some of the weighty stuff that my mate's acknowledged was similar to mine and ours.
That's some sojourner.

Don't really have a view on your dog sat in a East riding leisure service cafe in Anlady.

Don't really have a view on your dog sat in a East riding leisure service cafe in Anlady.

Just have a problem with the fact you sat eating his plus own food at 3 different tables in the last hour. Just  have a problem with the fact that no one will clean nor will anyone clear that table.  Just have an issue with my worry you feel humans are not as valuable and that we should dow down to your silly attitude.

But what a funny society when the well off get upset about couple of people not wanting a dog in a cafe in a leisure centre. But got concerns about fact local environment got far to many' failed economic migrants' now occupied homes poor local persons cannot have, that some who fought in war torn places establishing peace. Those same veterans ask!
" How do think we feel after all we were told about their primitive ways, the same men now walk the streets of our home towns".

That question spoken to myself cuts to the chase of arguments. So it's in ...St Stephens shopping mall .. in Hull city centre more full face covering hibjabs then Kabul' central. How low we sunk as a society in UK 2026.

Quote of the day at 7 in the morning......

“To criticize a person for their race is manifestly irrational and ridiculous, but to criticize their religion, that is a right. That is a freedom. The freedom to criticize ideas, any ideas - even if they are sincerely held beliefs - is one of the fundamental freedoms of society. A law which attempts to say you can criticize and ridicule ideas as long as they are not religious ideas is a very peculiar law indeed. It all points to the promotion of the idea that there should be a right not to be offended. But in my view the right to offend is far more important than any right not to be offended. The right to ridicule is far more important to society than any right not to be ridiculed because one in my view represents openness - and the other represents oppression” ― Rowan Atkinson.

The issues most kids face are not often the ones authority recognise. Bullying in schools is little bit out of control. But heads of school are not keen to admit not acceptable of the problem. There is a focus on bullying when the new year begins and those who were eldest in their last school. Most confident moved up a year and become the youngest plus weakest link. The changed is quite a drastic life challenging moment.
We at the gathering have chatted making ourselves aware of this issue. Lot of discussion about the concerns. With our approach mainly being actively listening it always hard to gauge your support. Too stupid a response and the issue is made worse. Too little expression and the silent concern stays hidden. Balance in most relationships needs attention and careful management.

Modern media and Kevin gets wasted.

Spent so much time looking for one track from one CD from one artist.

The life of the modern youth worker/ Dee jay..

Tried to invest some time in a TV programme last evening but 11 minutes into the script was unbelievable and the Actors so wooden. Very quickly realised the story was non factual the characters were not believable. But didn't reckon in others being wee bit disturbed that myself couldn't be classed as a fan.

Bit of reflection on simple bird watching.

Lovely walks
Wind blowing
Chilly temperature dropping
Unofficial observations and recorded evidence
It's there.  Flutter then it's is gone.
They don't stay still very long
So much to see vast numbers of excitement.
So exquisite and very enjoyable
Tinged with sadness that your not here to share the delights you trusted me myself to observe.
Your not here Matty Waller to share these joys.

Have l compromised ?

The minor prophets Joel, Malaki, along with Isaiah.

All came up today in our spirit filled conversation around ethics and kingdom values associated with these parts of the Bible seeking justice feeding the hungry, clothing those naked. Visiting the prisoner. The idea that our society becomes more Dickensian. Poor getting poorer.

Petrol prices are damaging so much of the fabric of our society. It's closer to £2 per litre that really hurts. Affecting transportation of food along with poor quality of provisions.

What for myself is the biggest pain in my heart is the struggle those on limited incomes the single person. The child with parents who are educational stumped. These people are forgotten by the rich political elite. Again we see a callous disregard of those experiences such injustices.

These claims on our discipleship the calls to speak out and challenge the powers are essential to those embracing the Kingdom values spoken by the Prophet. Jesus came to fulfil these brothers in the faith acknowledging the importance of justice mercy and compassion.

These are not bonus teaching's they are critical and should not be compromised. To often the Church has sold out weakening these teachings and bring part of the world into church teachings. Compromising to what authorities wish us to speak about thus diluting the gospel message. Individuals need to examine the above and question own commitments.

Permutations on pilgrim journey.

Hermits lived an uncomfortable life as they felt this type of religious devotion would point people to heaven. These patterns of behaviour often established buildings so others could visit discover prayerful life. There are many stories and legends associated with this lifestyles then they would spread talents learnt from such solitary people. Gardening, land skills, cattle keeping, but also knightly and hospitable gestures.

When you visited them and engagement with them sometimes led to people adopting different way of being. Also had difficult plus uncomfortable discussions about taxing problems. These walks and journeys took time often travelled with friends so such relationships grew deeper. Modern ways of living require us to pilgrim away from modern trappings. But you have to return and live better way having learnt new way of being.

Konstantinos ....great goalie already.

Having seen this goalkeeper in action

l am very impressed with the young Greek,

A DOUBLE SAVE AGAINST THE FRENCH SIDE `NICE` PLUS OTHER DISPLAYS HAVE ALINED HIM TO THE HULL CITY FAITHFUL.

Echos ...Echos....Echos...

Surprising what's missing in youth culture and thrill of a book.

The excitement of disagreement and hearing others views which are different to ones you express.

Grasping the emotional literacy of the lyrics written by a performing artist.

Spending time in a place of solitude just in silence. Perhaps trusting your mind to help you focus. There something about the resilience of thinking stuff out and reflections.

Surprising what's missing generally in places around larger society. The values got switched but there is an emptyness many are rejecting. Searching for something better something with kingdom values. Echos to return again.....

This Anglican Niteclub used to be a cute Church...

The girls in the gathering wanted to sing 'Espresso' by Sabrina Carpenter. They had the lights colourful swirling around. The mics were of the best DJ quality the track was no 7 and was queued in like it should be. They sang  but the real surprise was that these wonderful BHP had never seen a CD don't even mention Vinyl.

They were stunned when l produced the lyrics from the enclosed CD booklet. The problem with downloads is you can't really share the experience

It's isolated self experience you can't smell, feel, touch, or share. Even at the gathering one local attempt to be part of the youth provision.

Spiritual bulimia.

Well the morning school bell has rung. Lots of chatter suddenly became hushed as my nephew many others rush into new term class. They like us (decades ago) have joined the parade of dull thudding footsteps marching across classrooms to seats. A headmaster voice reads announcements in the assembly. This  mean one thing, something we put into the far distance video vaults in our minds. School has began again. the fears, the expectations.

So looking at that odd title above
Spiritual Bulimia. Myself been in situations where people go to  Christian conference.
The Christian book shop our place
The Christian concert
The Christian retreat
The Christian clothes shop
The Christian festival. Great money spinners for WOKE community!
They buy many sets of preaching resources.
They buy very latest books
The whole stream of Christian festival T- shirts.
Christian artists CD.etc..
You get the picture, CD artist they are seldom as good as the commercial artist in the top 40.
Lot of encouragement to behave like this certain soft manner.
Lot of encouragement to date 'this  certain' type of person.
Lot of encouragement to not hang around with 'certain type' of person.
Bit like the author of these words. You know the sort.
Lot of encouragement to follow the ...well we all done it and some still do it.
We eat all of this stuff up. End up only having Christian cereal to start the day. You know the sort that goes snap crackle and hallelujah when you add the milk.
The haircut and clothes that make you look so square. It's costly in the alert to follow this tride costly in failed relationships to follow this tribes trends.
It's more costly because it's dysfunctional and has little to do with. ." Follow me and build the kingdom in this way"..
But it's popular has been and remains.

We have to stop giving and consuming Christian things. Don't often say don't don't often advice you shouldn't..
But here l do. It's not helping we need to become kingdom people in the real sense of the word. Grasp those teachings . Understand grace .Compassion. Kindness. Hunger for justice, desire to forge relationships and create mission centered hearts that listen actively and spend time in service to others.
It's really that simple.
"Listen to the voice that's says follow me."

Still.........this goes on.

#Morning prayer
You took up
your cross
Lord Jesus
for love of us
and of all people
and gave yourself for us
that even death
may be overcome
by your love
that will not let us go.
Help us respond to your love
by the love we return to you
and the love we show others
today and always.
Amen

Return Lord Jesus to this bitter fallen world.

In the first eight months of 2026, over 3,000 Christians have been killed in targeted violence across Nigeria.

The spirituality of Pie ,mushy peas , and gravy.

Everything comes apart Hull city at top of the tree...you know the rest.

Driving home yesterday these words from Martyn Joseph excellent song came on my CD and l played it 3 times in a row.
So funny, very moving, So poignant.

It comes apart, explains itself and shows its complex ways
To see at last is to be free from a complicated maze
Comes apart, explains itself and shows its complex ways
And everything in heaven comes apart

Everything in heaven comes apart
The pogo stick, the monkey gland
The bloody strife fought overland
Everything in heaven comes apart
The private scam, the public face
The press release attempt at grace
The olive branch, the passport queue
The fifteen minute super loo
The parrot's blink, the gamma ray
The things the dead would like to say
The daffodil, the words that smart
Oh, everything in heaven comes apart
Here a little dirty about northern guy , about ethical conduct thinking about embracing . Suppose its just me personally I found don’t have to hate somebody to think they are wrong. Always discussing more so actively listening. Plus don't have to  be a bigot to oppose regressive religions well let's be honest it's Islam. I would definitely say personally believe you don’t have to follow common WOKE, liberal imposter fashionable cause to be a decent human being. But it's always something one should practice as best as you can daily. Where possible.

Same coin two sides of society.

We hear about links to organised crime about anti social behaviour , may witness evidence of drug dealing every day. Smell plus see the drugs. Many vape a substance that is spiced with drug's bought from local high street drug dealers. Turkish barbers so very evident on UK streets renowned for not paying taxes and supplying street drugs. These are facts about how low we have sunk. Social commentary many will already be aware of. Issues you see which are a sign of deep moral decay.

But on we go, hopeless in a society where price tags have been switched around and many haven't noticed.

The days have come and gone but still we failed.
We don't hear about those living life's that are correct. Noble and inspiring.
We don't herald the kindness done to neighbours.
Not do we as a society recognise the acts of voluntary service, delivered by many which oil the wheels, allowing society to turn.
Seldom do we cheer on the school kids coping with being a daily carer in their own homes.
Daily yes each day.
Hope everywhere people strive to be happy and content.
Reminds us despite main focus especially news rounds it is still a beautiful place. Filled with beautiful human beings.

It's not easy living the faith journey.

Building community and gathering is essential area of Christian faith development. Although we have forgotten the reason plus the nature as to why.

It was to examine why and how the impact of local beliefs systems where affecting the values of the new developing faith. There appeared worries about the corruption of Christian behaviour. It was decided that gathering to study the word frequently was a way of putting checks onto everyday workings among the faith community.

When some elders and it was mainly male led, became more concerned as faith community got cloaked with Roman powers, plus Authority of those times. It became a exercise for some to retreat and hermit into caves. Committing their lives to prayer , further deep study of the word of the Lord. These practices are part of our faith journey the sojourner we often engage in. The roots of these disciplines which l along with others favour nower days are rooted in ways of remaining steadfast to following Jesus.

It's not easy living the faith journey.

Less and less

So done a bit of work spread out all over rural town. Lot less gym Money very very tight. Petrol expensive most l have ever witnessed. Even ...

MAYBE WE WON`T MEET AGAIN

. . . she got a postcard in the mail
That just said Heaven, with a picture of the ocean and the beach
The simple words he wrote her
Said he loved her
How he'd hold her if his arms would reach
Wish you were here, wish you could see this place
Wish you were near,Wish I could touch your face
The weather's nice, it's paradise
It's summertime all year and there's some folks we know
They say, "Hello, "
I miss you so, wish you were here"
