Loud interruptions, clear beautiful images, words sights intercourse that disturbs and worries.

The thoughts that form ,then become words into conversations.

Feelings you have , express to another, hide from all others.

l wrestle with values..where did l get them from.Wrestle with fact that there is not enough people of difference presently in my life.

Struggle because my want to do Plans.

Nearly a Liverpool tragedy again...nearly

This image from Saturday,brought back some awful memories of difficult time for good folk of Liverpool.

Not just for myself.

On 15 April 1989,  FA Cup semi-final, Liverpool supporters gathered on the terraces of Sheffield Wednesday's FC Hillsborough Stadium. Place l knew Worked there before Liverpool, briefly.

The crowding, because of Police negligence turned into a crush, Sadly 96 people died, with hundreds more being injured.

Christians in America, it is time. It is time Yanks to humble themselves and admit that we have been looking at the gun issue wrongly. We’ve been part of the problem.

There is emphasis on self-care among faith community, identify issues of burn-out, depression, family relationship breakdowns, sadly even substance abuse.  Learnt this from shared conversations about boundaries issues, Talked about previous blog, these arise in pastoral ministry.

However concept of self-care is centered on values that made to feel at odds with the mission work in Christian field. 

Spiritual balance is one of several concerns, if it is included at all. Bit like supervision in ministries.  Own self-care revolves around negotiating the competing demands of our personal lives ,against the demands of work verses the needs of others.

This area of competing demands is difficult. When people are required to balance largely how much we can or should give to the work. 

Community Youth workers in Christian community are misunderstood, Example, if choose stick ritually to 2 days off a week.

Priority of our availability to the spiritual purposes of God requires the nurture and conservation of the gifts we have been given, in the form of relationships, physical strength and emotional well-being. 

Can recall when starting out in Vocation, feeling had to do more than others.

When l became more in supervisory and management role,worked hard to get those around me to do less.

Yes do less

Do less not more.

Time spent walking, talking,preparing,Praying is not time off.

Part of your well being in ministry to use this time as work time.

Yes so less really became more fruit-filled.

But those requirements if not used well, add to risk and sacrifice that is part of the Christian life.

Self-care” as a term is poorly defined ,too fluid in general, “self-care” is building tolerance, exploring why I’m feeling kinda adrenaline rush  coursing through my body at various times.

The physical affects the spiritual which affects the emotional, also affects the mental which further affects the environment which affects the stress. All in a continuum.

Encourage everyone try maintain healthy boundaries . .

We all need to set some kind of healthy boundaries, looking after yourself is real important.

l try not to get involved in silly stuff around `Soap Dramas` and peoples efforts to alter `How they Look But even giggle a bit at injections to fatten lips.

But that not for myself.

Setting such boundaries about how `Others` impact you as you, takes effort.

When we erect emotional fences, Does it limit you in other ways l am thinking exposure to new experiences and relationships.

l am concerned about me becoming a bit intolerable, staying in a unhealthy Zone,not thinking broader.

Of course how healthy the body is influences how healthy the relationships you form are ?

then coming into play are context...where you are..who you spend time with..social cohesion..situations,life Dramas all factor in..How you are feeling.

Fun

Life is hard..but it is fun..not simple.Key to success in life is working hard at Relationships.

So I encourage us all to keep healthy boundaries around what you can achieve, along with who allow access to You.

work on relationships with people you like chatting with, having a cuppa, walking sandy beach with.

The rest give time and some energy.

Of course am talking about personal not work boundaries in this sector of this blog.

The delivery guys block the pavement, leftover from last pandemic.

Things returned slowly to adjusted normal..but way different to previous.

Dodge some showers..head to the car..drive through Sunday traffic.

Slow.

Even the wildlife have a Sunday feel to their behaviour.

It's a perfect Sunday.

But church, Faith presence is absent.

Did Jesus get thrown out with the old toys like `spinning top`?

NHS nurses clinical perform health tasks, but own observations, also bit experiance. Stand out nurses are ones who are not'Task performers but  paridym includes pastoral.

Ask ,talk,chat, stay while longer.

Result notice ,that patients who they getting to know,not just treat illness. Become healthy.

This process is heart of nursing, not just completing a clinical task,such as changing dressings.

My heart played up this morning that curtailed my day.

Extra Tablets, sprays, more enforced resting.

Deep Frustration.

Pray, for others, they need support, actual supply of care,medicanes, understandings and pastoral care.

When young so fearless and carefree. Life passed quickly to this moment.

Feels ,to me, not enough time to do all l wish.

As often just normal guy, whose Heart is unhealthy. These words some of my sharing. 

Normal day in this present

Morning comes again (as it always does), but early,I didn’t even honour the moment.

I just walked into normality of the day
organised my prescription ,tablets then take them with first drink of the day.

Prayers followed by reading/reflection., But my mind procrastinates,Is that age or health issue ?

Play Squash or beach walk for an hour.

Try to remember how long it’s been, perhaps already its over a decade (with just 4 major hospital operations).

Live life differently.

In the afternoon,Sleep. As always it arrives, because of failure of my heart,which is abnormally slowing down. Gaps between stopping, starting again, are longer.

I honestly notice but not really concerned in a major way.

Cups of Tea.Then go for long walk.

Try not to eat late in day, plus 3 days week do not have meat

of course drink bit more water.

Like to mix with Jack Daniels. 

About as much Rock`n` Roll as l get presently.

In the evening I sit up but honestly not such a TV watcher, when l can done some community work, invest in others, debate issues around changing place of `gatherings, along with development of Faith community's . 

However like too many its voluntarily spending of my time.

Should be bit more vituperative about the situation, but age perhaps has mellowed myself.

its Monday ,am slower when my illness creates lack of sleep

Because of this illness, it something processed as like have a visible ticking clock, Somehow to me,there's a sense of urgency , try harder perhaps bit better get it right.
