Gathering together in family
In larger community's
street corner huddled for hour.
In pews on a Sunday.
Few mates Looking across the waves,
Counting ships on the Horizon.
If we not meeting to make things better
For each other then hostility become the normal.
That happens.
Political meetings turn into protest
Church gatherings can become inclusive to just a few.
Street mates become unruly gang.
Football supporters become marauding angry crowd.
We gather and meet to develop and grow.
We together become better, then when
Single individuals.
Combat fears,build hope,invite the excluded.
That's community.
