Permutations on pilgrim journey.

 Hermits lived an uncomfortable life as they felt this type of religious devotion would point people to heaven. These patterns of behaviour often established buildings so others could visit discover prayerful life. There are many stories and legends associated with this lifestyles then they would spread talents learnt from such solitary people. Gardening, land skills, cattle keeping, but also knightly and hospitable gestures.

When you visited them and engagement with them sometimes led to people adopting different way of being. Also had difficult plus uncomfortable discussions about taxing problems. These walks and journeys took time often travelled with friends so such relationships grew deeper. Modern ways of living require us to pilgrim away from modern trappings. But you have to return and live better way having learnt new way of being.

This Anglican Niteclub used to be a cute Church...

The girls in the gathering wanted to sing 'Espresso' by Sabrina Carpenter. They had the lights colourful swirling around. The mics were of the best DJ quality the track was no 7 and was queued in like it should be. They sang  but the real surprise was that these wonderful BHP had never seen a CD don't even mention Vinyl.

They were stunned when l produced the lyrics from the enclosed CD booklet. The problem with downloads is you can't really share the experience 

It's isolated self experience you can't smell, feel, touch, or share. Even at the gathering one local attempt to be part of the youth provision.

Well the morning school bell has rung. Lots of chatter suddenly became hushed as my nephew many others rush into new term class. They like us (decades ago) have joined the parade of dull thudding footsteps marching across classrooms to seats. A headmaster voice reads announcements in the assembly. This  mean one thing, something we put into the far distance video vaults in our minds. School has began again. the fears, the expectations.

Lot of encouragement to behave like this certain soft manner.

We eat all of this stuff up. End up only having Christian cereal to start the day. You know the sort that goes snap crackle and hallelujah when you add the milk.

The haircut and clothes that make you look so square. It's costly in the alert to follow this tride costly in failed relationships to follow this tribes trends. 

It's more costly because it's dysfunctional and has little to do with. ." Follow me and build the kingdom in this way"..

But it's popular has been and remains.

We have to stop giving and consuming Christian things. Don't often say don't don't often advice you shouldn't..

But here l do. It's not helping we need to become kingdom people in the real sense of the word. Grasp those teachings . Understand grace .Compassion. Kindness. Hunger for justice, desire to forge relationships and create mission centered hearts that listen actively and spend time in service to others.

It's really that simple.

Here a little dirty about northern guy , about ethical conduct thinking about embracing . Suppose its just me personally I found don’t have to hate somebody to think they are wrong. Always discussing more so actively listening. Plus don't have to  be a bigot to oppose regressive religions well let's be honest it's Islam. I would definitely say personally believe you don’t have to follow common WOKE, liberal imposter fashionable cause to be a decent human being. But it's always something one should practice as best as you can daily. Where possible.

 

Same coin two sides of society.

We hear about links to organised crime about anti social behaviour , may witness evidence of drug dealing every day. Smell plus see the drugs. Many vape a substance that is spiced with drug's bought from local high street drug dealers. Turkish barbers so very evident on UK streets renowned for not paying taxes and supplying street drugs. These are facts about how low we have sunk. Social commentary many will already be aware of. Issues you see which are a sign of deep moral decay.

But on we go, hopeless in a society where price tags have been switched around and many haven't noticed.

The days have come and gone but still we failed.   

We don't hear about those living life's that are correct. Noble and inspiring.

We don't herald the kindness done to neighbours.

Not do we as a society recognise the acts of voluntary service, delivered by many which oil the wheels, allowing society to turn.

Seldom do we cheer on the school kids coping with being a daily carer in their own homes. 

Daily yes each day.

Hope everywhere people strive to be happy and content.

Reminds us despite main focus especially news rounds it is still a beautiful place. Filled with beautiful human beings.

It's not easy living the faith journey.

 Building community and gathering is essential area of Christian faith development. Although we have forgotten the reason plus the nature as to why.

It was to examine why and how the impact of local beliefs systems where affecting the values of the new developing faith. There appeared worries about the corruption of Christian behaviour. It was decided that gathering to study the word frequently was a way of putting checks onto everyday workings among the faith community.

When some elders and it was mainly male led, became more concerned as faith community got cloaked with Roman powers, plus Authority of those times. It became a exercise for some to retreat and hermit into caves. Committing their lives to prayer , further deep study of the word of the Lord. These practices are part of our faith journey the sojourner we often engage in. The roots of these disciplines which l along with others favour nower days are rooted in ways of remaining steadfast to following Jesus.

It's not easy living the faith journey.

Setting ourselves apart from secular society is important. Setting ourselves away from others for a break is part of developing. Internally we need to find peace a place for quiet reflection 

Then we are on Holy ground and in a sacred place. Essential for individuals to grow to develop and gain sense of well being. It's a place to breath a place for solitude. Accept some of these places are fearful to those in modern society they love being allowed to stay separated. Stay in own private Playlist only to listen to voices supporting those odd views. It's there own music placing them in private wardrobe where when you stop outside it's own private haven 

Holy ground is where our faith has called us to retreat neglect self. To listen to God's Voice and share that interpretation. Sacred space is where ever we listen talk and ponder about deep stuff.

Is there a bar up there where you've got a favorite chair?
Where you sit with friends and talk about the weather?
Is there a place you go to watch the sunset?
And, oh, is there a song you just can't wait to share?

Can't always interpret the day but gym period followed by walk about best this day offers. Already in rural northern Yorkshire.We are experiencing chilly evenings. Darker mornings plus shorter days.

Gym become a Biotrax essential has my own health  deteriorated. The great news is can measure the successful work and pain l endure. Not got any great gym buddies but found vulnerable friends many who try to improve own bodies but also improved minds with conversations, further gatherings and espically sharing how life is happening for them.

Justice not just us but Daphne Galizia . .Also

 The monthly vigil held on the 16th, of every month since Daphne Caruana Galizia was killed in 2017 will be turned into a solidarity protest this month following the acquittal of Yorgen Fenech. “The time for vigil is now over” the poster for Repubblika’s event on Wednesday September 16 announces, as it insisted the verdict "cannot be the end of Malta's reckoning". 

Malta is a place l love invested a lot into the place, it's people, built some great memories. Also made incredible relationships, got fantastic friends, as a travel place it's a large island but very small country.

So this pains myself to bring into the mix this truth...it's corrupt. Murderous, greed orientated. Selfish in government,those elected despite the way politics. Only behave are in way that's about own promotion. Greed is a major issue in economic structures, and hospitality services. 

Charles Handy in his book...'understanding organisations'... discusses in depth how the "culture of the environment" impacts positively and negatively affecting individuals. Then as always follows community impact. Then whole of society influenced. Malta is small country on a large island that's is a micro study of corruption.

Despite a claim to be overtly Christian and faith based those values been in contrast to the influences and affects of corruption. Power and privilege which been common theme in my writing this week. Attributes have sided with corruption in Malta and this  living struggle is visibly witnessed. Daphne Galizia cause was to shine a light into such practices speak out and testify as a journalist against the corruption she witnessed.

Throughout the program, associate pastors others join Swaggart in discussing the bible. In 1991, he was found in a car with another suspected prostitute, sparking further chaos for his ministry. he was suspended and defrocked...Marge Simpson had same thing ...or maybe not...

You see privilege it do cost. But it cost the poor more.

Here is the rub...here is my main concern. Here is where l get into trouble...He is still shown grace, tender mercies given more chances. All the time those around him allowed this behaviour with no real consequences.

But here where extra grace extra mercy and extra privilege pay dividends'. £5 for slice of toast!

The inflation in food prizes is shocking my experience in a cafe in Leeds. Friend got cheapest thing on the menu. £5 slice of toast. Add £4 cup of tea £12 for when additional want a latte coffee. The present we are placed in, surely a struggle for lots of reason. 

Many desire to be free just want about able be existing outside of this undesirable moment.

It's very tough struggle in the last 5 years not sure why the hope is!  seriously not in anyone of the Political parties. People are hurting and got so little it's a vacuum. Now that summertime is nearly over, we are seeing a rise in all energetics fees rising. But it's way above any finances people are gaining. Many sadly are not getting rises. It's very daily struggle.

We are living with the problem created by the political elite who have no concern for actual people they should be supporting.

Knew a lady used to go stand outside Church when l was in my most formative years. Waiting for her boyfriend who had been killed in the War.
She knew ....told us ..'but l promised once a week to get dressed walk to our meeting place. Wait.' 
 Then l go home.

Found this poem in the end credits of BBC 4 'Kabul' series convoluted but essential disturbing concerning but essential. Tucked away on the schedules of Saturday evening TV viewing but still essential. Painful suppose even hopeless but remaining convoluted disturbing and essential. Here the post plays with our minds telling us how our hearts in a short essay should remain full of hope 

We don't miss enough each day we should kiss someone someone we love should send us kisses and we should gladly receive them. In protesting remaining loving in the very worse on the very worse day kiss and love bring hope and inspire others.

Hate as l said earlier this week begets hate. Kisses promote Love and a desire for kissing.

Times we are living some say , they say it a plenty, are end times..Did discover at young age that equality was never going to come because I'm poor l Was born in the north.

We struggle, get labelled, but we still inspire despite coming from blighted place. Even on other planets there will be a north. There will be South North divide with Inequality experience by those battling poverty seeking justice. The kids local feels it's ok to raid, hassle, attack baristas at Costa in our city.

I'm poor, l'm from the north, but we had a sense of what is right and wrong . We never stole, we learnt that justice doesn't involve stealing from others.
