Marcus Rashford calls for government to keep £20-a-week Universal Credit uplift
we keep calling the war on poverty a war problem is ...well its this . . . Wars end.This War on POVERTY just goes on, getting worse.
After all the wars are over,
And all the battles won,
After all the blood’s been spilt
From here to kingdom come,
Do you think it really matters
In the larger scheme of things
That this nation took the prize
Below is some bible, from `Isaiah 61` as l ponder on recent events that are a trigger to my discussions engagement and ,how l choose to belong to a community, the issues we face together.
The discussions l engage in, along with the relationships l want to form.
Have to be looking at Poverty,justice,love winning,Faith of followers of Jesus...if not got these l cannot belong.
This is not normal in today's society. But its very vital to myself.
To preach good tidings to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives,
And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD,
And the day of vengeance of our God;
To comfort all who mourn,
To console those who mourn in Zion,
To give them beauty for ashes,
The oil of joy for mourning,
The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
That they may be called trees of righteousness,
The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified
We keep calling the war on poverty a war, problem is ...
well its this !. . . Wars end.
This War on POVERTY just goes on, getting worse.
