Theology must compel us both intellectually and affectively, But listen sometimes and the words spoken are no longer used, the lives observed by those speaking such words are absent from relationships with listeners.
Why cannot good theology sound like common sense, not some `Da Vincie code` transcript, (Dan Brown book and film.) Complicated removed distorted and convoluted.
@SteveChalke
As the saying goes “If the child doesn’t learn the way you teach, start teaching the way they learn.”
Theology , how we make sense of God, should enable the brokenness, misunderstandings of damaged, fragmentated and threatened lives into a whole; it must give us true joy and realistic hope. Hope that's missing more and more. Sense of peace so absent in our community's but especially among younger individuals and children.
- Danny Snyder: I wasn't even planning on going to court with this one. I was just gonna plea it down the best I could and walk away. I wasn't, I wasn't planning on taking this to trial.
- King Benny: Well your plans have been changed.
- Danny Snyder: Well I'm afraid I'll make a mistake and... say the wrong thing and, ya know, uh, uh, make a wrong turn somewhere. You don't want to take that risk.
- King Benny: Life is a risk.
Listening to good theology affects how l think about the stuff of LIFE. Wanting to explore more, look deeper, question further engage with others, It fuels debate gets a good discussion happening. where we debate, argue about the issues disagree further agree.
Bad theology hurts others, creates divisions, tries to stop debate.
