So talking about inspiration this last few postings. Here a passage accepted since around 1976.

The Bible has inspired me, but it also frustrates me, it challenged us. Rejected some teachings. I have. Don't argue about it's literal meaning. That's not my place. Like Faith brings Doubts. Yes it does. Brings warmth great meaning. Sometimes it irrelevant. Mostly worth wrestling with.

That view, in some odd circles classed as heresy That's not allowed. But hey ho.

POP lyrics section , the Psalms, has beauty, romance, teaching, discord, and harmony. If taken out of context, it can harm, cause hurt, bring awful death plus destruction.

It can heal troubled souls, bring pain to an end, teach us how to love, to live and build community.

True vocation is inspiring.

Met lot of people with sense of vocation, understanding that it's a calling, also supplemented by package leads to credited qualifications. In the chosen fields. Include Health profession, caring, social work, Faith mission fields, Youth Community development. Further commitment to ongoing learning.

That's inspiring. What's complexed is when it's solitary just a person's sense of service. these people complain no one there to step in, no one they can trust, long table of those who came apparently departed unable to step into leaders feet. If that's you.

Your the issue. The issue with the `cult of that environment `, is You. Honestly stand aside. if its a vocation another will take the field of practice further. If its not.  Your still finished.

Without Vision people perish. If got knocked over tonight would the vision carry on?

• Vocation must be all three. Sense of calling. 
• Commitment to academic training. Long term mission. 
• Following empowerment, participant engagement. Working oneself out of the position.

Well let's keep this simple. As 'younger Kevin' developing from Teenage to Adult. Getting more into Albums, plus groups ethos. Not really all knowing, aware more than music. Not many Bands around who identified as my Faith. So ones that ID as Following Jesus, plus sounded good that was bonus. Dylan lyrically attributed himself to my tribe. 

'Alarm' punk group did, Sal solo,Houseartins, not many immediately spring to front. But here also was a band holistically could agree with. Further they opened the door to other values or direction , they were informed about such values. Bible was a inspiring indeed book to wrestle with , this showed up in U2s lyrics. Kingdom values of Jesus were proclaimed here in the music plus lifestyle choices. 

Spoke my lingo, engaged in my experiences, expressed frustration and sorrow. Used influence. Remember 'Band Aid', politics of dancing, Palestinian ,John smiths outlaws mode,in interviews got me further engaged.

Mocked culture of fame. Mimicked the powerful, sang about the downtrodden.

Action included periods in Battle zones, poverty of third world.

Brought classical people into our bedrooms through encounters, BB King, Billie Holiday, even old Youthie guru Pip W.

Attended Greenbelt other sources we Christians inhabited.

Grown up alongside myself along with many getting older with. Others still today feel more relevant.

Shalom values of Kingdom are wrestled with. Doubts expressed, `Cedars of Lebanon` exulted.

Desires are frustrated, Kingdom can be so far away. Journey cancelled leads us to LOVE.

When love comes to town wanna get on board that train.

Yeah recently these last few years their books found very useful. Along with taking some time to listen to music from females, Lana Del Rey, ? Her music is noted for its cinematic quality and exploration of tragic romance, glamour, and melancholia, with frequent references to pop culture and 1950s–1970s Americana. Her vintage Hollywood glamour aesthetic is showcased in her music videos. Beyoncé, not just a dance or disco diva but complicated artist whose proud of her looks also pretty emotionally skillful. Taylor swift. She got faith, looks, business acumen, huge following. 

Always asking why, what do the lyrics contain, whose agreeing, what values are they endorsing. Its also simply fun. Engaging, leaves myself better informed when in encounters where we talk deeper.

Not to discover nor reject feminist teachings or issues. Just to attempt to understand another's perspective. This style or method if its that `haughty`, is an effort by,` Northern working class white male`.

Going to talk for a while about stories that have inspired myself.

 This firsts story is about a vulnerable person who was drawn to those he felt were more in need of support.

Vincent…is his name…used to be in my mind from time a while ago…Name Vincent was understood enough. Actually it’s Vincent van goth, artist Christian, street based outreach worker, creator of community. Victim of death at his own hand. Silence of suicide. He tried felt he failed, he stumbled, bled got rejected, helped in only way he felt he could, ‘painted and drew pictures’ .Then sold to feed those he had encountered. Took the lost to a place where even he was not welcome. However he thought they should have been.

Then when no hope was left in sight on that starry starry night.He took his LIFE has lovers often do.

Why is this inspiring, because we fail. We try and it backfires, we get rejected, our efforts are not appreciated, we feel perhaps like giving in..Encounters we make are a path where we may stumble, others don’t know how our efforts are shaping out to be.

But we strive to carry on….But l am telling you to paraphrase this world may feel like it’s not good enough. But carry on, be stronger, accept your calling remain committed.

That should be inspiring, yes l repeat it’s inspiring to fall, to not be understood, to be rejected. Then to carry on.

Change can very unsettling.

Not sure need anymore growth. Sorry but at my tender age. Just need settled period. Interpersonally still growing. Journey of life is till we depart. But presently just need period of nothingness. Well for week or two.

Had intrusive week includes today travels to Hospital. Minor surgery. Medical investigations. LIFE. GRATEFUL my prayers this morning expressed that.

50 years 5 Decades ended up passing Holtby House, sat on the bus. Where Kevin sat 5 Decades ago. Same Bus .stop same journey. Completely different reasons.

Some different opinions enveloped knowledge.

Just few thoughts as many times from just one direction, little ole me, as been called heretical.  Our faith, followers of Jesus, those Christians. ( This was first used as name to mock followers), those early days of the developing Christian church. Viewpoints started to arise about just who the person, nature, purpose, identity of Jesus Christ was being understood. Some different opinions enveloped knowledge. these discussions became ideas that secreted, challenged, apostolic orthodox tradition. 

Who was Jesus the Christ ? What would be purpose of the emerging Church? Further it really was emerging, but the Acts further the letters in New testament identify some issues. 

Really important` thinking, plus actions`, about the Churches motivation. Jesus  had truly lived among us in human form. That he had been with the father Jehovah God since the formation of the Earth. Luckily at these times still evident where some who had known Jesus personally. `Knew he had cooked fish on the beach', spoke to the woman at the well...Cried when his friend died. Suffered pain on the cross. Resurrected back to life from empty tomb. Appeared to his mates Disciples`.

These are not questions to debate. But questions around the stories Ark ,Noah, women wearing hats in Church, Worship, music taste's, Bible reading, evidence and relationships, role of interfaith working, what is mission?

All these are up for debate plus discussion. Are we relevant to issues others are facing? How is justice dealt to the poor? Do we care about those who have not heard? Is Hell a Biblical concept?

Question warrants some thought without in any way accepting the foolishness of the actions. Additionally why where so many men at this Mosque armed? The evidence can be gained from EYMS buses cameras as they where diverted from normal routes. Why did the police not ask 100s of Islamist gathered to disarm ?

Waiting for still small voice of reason.

Like comfortable slipper, like bookends in wooden case of reading journals. Happy with chill wind, bit of rain. It's like a promise ..Time is travelling..WOW.

It's gone quick 'that journey least travelled'. But for all there is Drama, chaos, trouble, and strife. 

One thing believe witnessing is breakdown of communication. Lack of response between individuals,hence the community don't communicate. Society led by 'political elite liberal lefties',don't even wish to communicate. Nore do the 'liberal leftie elite', feel desire to communicate to individuals. Happens in minor transgressions between people at local level. But act is deliberate. Society how LIFE without my input.

Witnessed the viterol between the journalist. So disturb that no longer enjoy watching. Neither do we methodical explore social media for news information. Wait for still small voice of reason.

Milestone personally happening soon .

Making plans to retreat someplace else. Spending time away from the place that not really home. It's just a place drop my head. Been the same for a while. Unsure why no longer feel belong here,  first place where not done any face to face encounters. That's one reflection. Always travelling from here to another place. So planning to depart for quiet a while. There a milestone happening at end of the month.

Last bank holiday of a hot summer, long summer, Without my ‘Dear son Matthew’ Summer.
It’s been strange going places we used to go suddenly no wheel chair to push. No hills to climb with Matthew having upper body workout. Not keen on cafes without you son. Time there is sweet but sad. Although moments are longer.

There is the Bird life visiting my focal reminding me of your time with God. Comfortable and at peace in his creation. Few notes to log all findings.

The kindness offered each day his my commitment as an individual, commitment to larger community. Which if accepted impacts plus effects large even cosmic Society. As ordinary people we can simple aspire to do little things, even if others think they are caring making moments. There all kinds of social situations where a kind effort will either fall flat or be accepted. It will either be a social no show in the communities mishap, or be  inspired gathering, has hinted at yesterday Society may not value your gatherings action. It may be excruciating event. Or it may be where few outsiders are valued, where old folk gets warm meal, maybe the outcast sits around the table feeling invited. The rewards are witnessed in a cosmos called paradise.

Perhaps…or perhaps not…still worthwhile.

By remaining detached from present situation politically, the riots, immigration discussion, Situation in middle East. It's my own view Kevin's can offer little. Emotionally not responsive. Prayfully awaiting.

Being pretty blunt. No one too bothered by my expression so float along. Till can work out honest practical view. No present platform whose sonic makes me feel comfortable to join in among.

Encounters with others can be magic sense of spending time with family plus friends. Also making new relationships. Even with people who are intolerant of you, further your tribe. The magic comes when meet up again plus getting to know the others views. How they arrived at different to You.

Listening is the key. Listening with more then your ears. Listening actively.  Eventually know the non verbals. Making your few...stress that few... questions open.

Communication is a place. Place with skills we never stop developing. Curiosity leads us further on in getting to know others.

Meals plus food shared are next steps in encounter's. Again that magic. Magic develops as you share common area of sitting enjoyment eating. Sharing a meal allows questions to be paced with silences. Digestion brings appropriate reflection.

Quote of the day indeed. Even conflicts end when we discuss events. Peace gets brought about. But we appear to not value the magic l have alluded too.

Listening, getting to know other. Dialogue, debating, reflection. All going out of Vogue. Bit like me even. But insist practice these values as often as you can as sojourner the,'Road even less travelled'.
