come on you Easter Hull

TWO wins six points.I believe Hull City need at least that from next few games
although now eight Premier League games to avoid the drop.

Steve Bruce will be targeting more, no doubt about it, but it's worth remembering City are in a strong position as the run-in begins.

If they grab 34 points between now and May 24
it makes it tough for others around us espically the Black cats.
Elmo one of the
truly great signings

It's the most wonderful time of the year

Naked
Body abused
In agony
Rejected
Forsaken
Feeling cut off and alone
Friends departed
Mother looks up at the figure on the cross
Her son
"It's the most wonderful time if the year"

Windy cold washing up done feeling disconnected

Sometimes so grateful for the smaller stuff,
Washing up
Friends Chatting, people eating, sharing meal. Meeting up walking together.
It's spiritual measure, that believe when we appreciate the small stuff,
Recognise how important Relationships Friends are. That's the important stuff
Going to chat meet friend this evening.

But it's so windy,
Wow where that wind come from?
Anyone know fierce, cold, chilly,period.
Been bit too long this winter!

Me and the farmer. . . via the Archers

These are the times that try men’s souls. Young Pip turned up trumps (“Pass me the wrench!”), the vicar was a tower of strength (“We have plenty of candles!”), Adam and Charlie had a tender moment down a drain (“Reach my hand! I’m not going to leave you!”) and Roy, seizing time by the forelock, coaxed the lady of the manor into taking her clothes off again (“Elizabeth, you are soaking!”).

Sury the best paragraph to describe the Archers
Personally l feel this was a low point in the dramam series
One l have been although not faithfully
Been listening to since l was a 'tailor'in Hull back in 1974

It was disturbing because it was so unreal
Also helped get rid of a lot of story lines
That where not worth investment
A TV programme
A song
A radio  or even a podcast
Need to let me know
They are worth my investment
In time
Energy following through
Investment in listening

I  was sadly glad when this week ended
It just dragged and at every turn l expected a death
Yet of course it was the silent ones who died
Still another gay story line about father snogging another farmer
Both males of course
It very predictable
Still l be tuned n all this week

When you vote feel for the vulnerable

When
If
You vote
Do it not for yourself
Not for your family
Do it for those who are the most vulnerable in our society
Those who may not be inyour community
Do it for the  Lord
Pray first
May be like myself there is no one deserving of my vote
But argue
Argue against the cuts that affect the most vulnerable
Stand up for those who are vulnerable
Do it for them

I` ii be at Dams

Back to North Yorkshire map for this visit to a place newly discovered, Filey Dams Nature Reserve.
Apparently last remaining freshwater marsh of any size in the area,(although the north York's moors routes has scaling dam?) Filey Dams OK, fine with some migratory birds.
Further also decent place to observe plants, small mammals, even if your really lucky, amphibians.
GREAT TIME WATCHING
WITH MATTHEW MARCH 2015

This quiet place consists large freshwater lagoons, surrounded marsh and grassland, occasionally grazed with cattle.
Soft rush dominates, joined in the shallow water by toad rush, bottle sedge, also branched bur-reed. Alongside distinctive yellow flag iris.
A short walk takes you to the Main Hide among small copse with nest boxes used by tree sparrows. This leads along a,nervous, tricky,  boardwalk to pond-dipping platform at edge of a quiet pool. Phew.
Sometimes dragonflies skim the water settling on the mat of amphibious bistort;...look it up... if you are quite fortunate might see water vole perhaps among the water forget-me-not. It is recommended that dusk or very early visit will enable Owls,Foxes and others to be witnessed.
Or you could stay on bed ..Sorry Matty..All three British species of newt occur here which are smooth, palmate and great crested, the latter species recognised nationally important numbers.
l personally recommend a visit. As does Matty.

orthonalgy with son

thursday at the hide on the north east coast with Matty,

Another generally quiet few days with unhelpful conditions, but the first trans-Saharan migrants still made it through in the very welcome form of two Sand Martins – the first of which came in off the sea on Carr Naze – on 24th (MJP). The same day saw a single Scandinavian Rock Pipit on the Brigg, a male Stonechat on Carr Naze …

Previsous Monday, March 23rd.

Spring is still stuttering in at a typically pedestrian pace presently, reflected in the relative highlights over the last week. Pick of the bunch was certainly a Bewick’s Swan which went north with a flock of 12 Whooper Swans on 20th, with a further 38 Whoopers north this morning. Modest signs of early spring passerine migration

My history my story

A big part of the story of my life
Would include the northeast coast and the sand plus the sea
I suppose it all about nostalgia thinking overthe years
Long walks from hull to Robin Hood bay
Summer camps
Transistor radios
Sound of soul music
Longer snogs
Stars at night
First time away from family
Making own destination
Finding out about a place
It's geographic history place in the UK
Sounds . . . Smells . . . Sights
Aware growing old
Youth has past
Sometimes walk with the ghosts of yesterday
Memory clouded
Thoughts confused
Smile constant

At Filey

Been watching birds in a hide yesterday with my son in Filey
Great fun and silent enjoyable
Also Saint Oswolds Church nice Norman. Style
Lovely walks and a cup of BOvril
Returning for a pint and chat after l cooked the tea
Rice chicken and hilly bean mix
Been great in a caravan but colder thenl expected
The conversations
Touching nature
Silence
Watching daft TV and talking

Cold on the coast

New toilets environment friendly
But pain to use

So cold today I was freezing
Had long walks and swimming
Starting to hope for warmth of summer days
Healthy eating

Greenbelt 2015 l ponder further .

so thinking about Greenbelt 2015
Then l came across several Questions among interesting article
This in some way tries to explain the issues about buying this year tickets
For what is a very unique valuable creative faith based and spiritual uplifting

1.The return to a greenfield site after 15 years proved more expensive than we’d budgeted for. At the same time, slightly more of our audience than anticipated didn’t move to Boughton with us.
2. We had to dip into our reserves.
3. We had to use up our reserves.
4. We had to find some more funds after using up our reserves.
5. Thanks to some generous festival supporters, our wonderful band of Angels, and one benefactor in particular (match-funding all donations), we’ve raised close to £100,000.
6. In the past we’ve asked for short term loans to bridge periodic cash-flow crises, repaying them over time, carrying our debts forward. This time we wanted to clear our debts in one fell swoop.
But all this was a wake-up call, and staff and trustees were faced with some serious questions.

Here are some of the serious questions we were faced with.

1. After growing in size from 2000 to 2009, why, since then, has our audience been falling, each year by a few hundred people?
2.Having made small surpluses most years since 2001 on the hard-standing site at Cheltenham (hence those reserves we used up), did our losses in 2014 mean it was time to go back to a site with buildings and roads, with plumbing and plugholes?
3.In the absence of a major corporate partner (a brewery, for example, like other summer festivals which have not gone bust) is it even possible to build an open-air festival on a greenfield site for a relatively niche audience … and still be sustainable?
4. Is there a big enough audience in the UK for a progressive festival of arts, faith and justice? Do the wider demographics of religious institutions suggest Greenbelt’s audience is disappearing? Or is a Festival like this now more necessary than ever?
5. Is Greenbelt still needed? (10,500 people who bought tickets in 2014 think so… but are they enough?)
6. At the festival itself, do we try to do too many things? Too many venues, too much programming… trying to engage too many audiences?
7. We love the young people who attend the Festival but there’s not enough of them so how can Greenbelt become more their thing again?
8. Why are we still investing in a huge open air mainstage, with all the attendant infrastructure, when by the evening of the festival day most people instead seem to be in The Canopy, The Tiny Tea Tent, The Playhouse, The Big Top, The Jesus Arms, singing campsongs around the fire … or back at the tent with their mates?
9. And what about our organisation, especially the volunteers who breathe life into the festival every summer? How do we get new volunteers involved, and how might they shape the festival?

so prayer needed and reflecting back; got to ask has the young not attending!
Why you would then make provision and target them?
Why not work more with those age groups already enjoying and attending,
as an example so can the middle aged range be more encouraged.
Church groups can they be more welcomed, greater working targetting?
Further are you losing those older, camping hard on the knees?
So can you cater better for them?
Why would you target the youths -who do not attend..Yet not put effort into those already attending...
But for myself why is it predominately white..Good white folk despite the issues why does it remain mainly white..
Now this sounds like a critic but it an honest thought process.
1984 unti..2015?
Also do some of the issues isolate the festival, like support for Palestine community...GL and transgender communities

Something groovy about coming together

I think it's so groovy now
That people are finally getting together
I thinks it's wonderful and how
That people are finally getting together

I think it's so groovy now
That people are finally getting together
I thinks it's wonderful and how
That people are finally getting together

Reach out in the darkness
Reach out in the darkness
Reach out in the darkness
And you may find a friend

I knew a man that I did not care for
And then one day this man gave me a call
We sat and talked about things on our mind
And now this man he is a friend of mine

Reach out in the darkness
Reach out in the darkness
Reach out in the darkness
And you may find a friend

I think it's so groovy now
That people are finally getting together
I thinks it's wonderful and how
That people are finally getting together

I think it's so groovy now
That people are finally getting together
I thinks it's wonderful and how
That people are finally getting together

Don't be afraid of love
(Don't be afraid) don't be afraid
Don't be afraid to love
(Listen to me)
Everybody needs a little love
Everybody needs somebody
That they can be thinking of
So reach out

Reach out in the darkness
Reach out in the darkness
Reach out in the darkness
And you may find a friend

I think it's so groovy now
That people are finally getting together
I thinks it's wonderful and how
That people are finally getting together

I think it's so groovy now
That people are finally getting together
I thinks it's wonderful and how
That people are finally getting together

I think it's so groovy now
That people are finally getting together
I thinks it's wonderful and how
That people are finally getting together...

If you were born on March 21st 1956

if its your birthday here is your horoscope
every day someone thinks about you
they have more love then you will ever need
the sun in your heart still shines
allowing you to project that maternal instinct
so natural with Aries
although occaisonly crabby
that natural smile and charm
will always enable you to get ahead
money issues will have to be managed carefuly
the need for your own space may find you in the battery shop later
that call you need to make
will bring laughter plus the promise of hope for tomorrow.
Angels live forever love is forever also

love the coulers in the skys
love the coulers as spring settles

MAYBE WE WON`T MEET AGAIN

. . . she got a postcard in the mail
That just said Heaven, with a picture of the ocean and the beach
The simple words he wrote her
Said he loved her
How he'd hold her if his arms would reach
Wish you were here, wish you could see this place
Wish you were near,Wish I could touch your face
The weather's nice, it's paradise
It's summertime all year and there's some folks we know
They say, "Hello, "
I miss you so, wish you were here"
