As we travel, Lord, whether it be a journey between places or a journey through life, give us an openness to one another and a willingness to engage, that we may build community and connection across difference and diversity, showing and sharing your love with all.

We all have journeys mostly daily steps we take. Into silence of the day. Walks in nature the golden harvested fields witnessed around ourselves .

Sound of trees leaves rustling remind us of God. Waves coming against the shore water laps up sandy beach.

These moments bring us into the moments of our reflections internally these form our larger prayers.

In the time of my confession.

So found this song that at one time expressed the pain that personally felt. In time when as guy in my narrative, it was me  who felt broken . .found song identified with. Been like a shadow in my video vault of music held close. All my emotional literacy was being expressed by another. 
Of course, learnt that it maybe was different shadow dance for the person who penned the lyrics. Understand plus grasp that, but connection was there. Recently listened closely to the song.
One discovery was why had felt so low in myself. You see l have changed, perhaps also l have grown.
All the experiences of living shape myself. no longer feel this blue nor damaged. Recall me at that time.

Indeed the number of utterly different cover versions of the song should keep us aware of just how much there is in the music. Well exactly further in most music we often return towards.

To open emotionally literacy, so we can reflect. Can yes a person can express own view. Even if others won't accept. It's allowed the chance to say your point of view. Your words are valuable. Because it's a throw away media. Still had depth it's a thing a non transient topic. So people are open to speaking. Because it's common form of communication people are comfortable in the arena.

This can open person to explore deeper with Bible along with those who follow Jesus. Where if it was just linear exercise with book and pens.

It would fail although some can address topics this way. That can  come later . Non linear communication opens the discussion leading to growth.

As we look at inferred values in Movies one would imagine area of presenting Jesus. Would be points gained all around Not so. Often argument is same from secularism camp as it is from the Religious gatherings.
Often both reflect same complaint. The Passion suffered this.

Despite use of Jesus own Aramaic language.

People thought it was too graphic,

People state too religious.

It's about Saviour dying most cruel barbaric way. Methods adopted to humiliate and bring shame. Watched this in cinema as we collected as a group. Some shouted out. Many were uncomfortable.

That in reality's the Church failed to award the film many merits. Actually it's great evangelical tool. Sadly not appreciated.

But involved in drug trafficking, crime , and violence . The  neighborhood is felt to be accurate  description and image of ones people know.

It's acknowledged, but compliant can be that Films present limited set of options. 

That is the value, So people like myself discuss areas of concern as we grapple to talk about each others souls and issues we are facing.

The screen gets filled with scenes of gray, cloudy exteriors and working-class malaise, and every character seems to hold secret issues. Here presented in ways observed can witness, just like LIFES lived. Not always willing to share.

Some films like...PRETTY WOMAN...LAST TEMPTATION OF CHRIST .. HARDER THEY COME...” Come against structures of authority, include here local government, teachers, church, even disc jockeys, Police, other gatherings like ones own.

So issues explored are some those watching can discuss , because it's only a Film we are watching .

We got more money paid to play music often had big 70 x 70 big screens sometimes banks of TV in the bigger clubs. 

Most times `these on silent` with music, films, and MTV, in backdrop to the music we played from the decks.

Here culturally there was a battle, socially it presented obstacles. Many wasn't really schooled in nor prepared for.

Should toxic behaviour find a safety net in Faith community.
If your following the `Prince of peace` how can toxic behaviour find place of welcome.
How come it happens. How can little old ladies be so aggressive towards especially young girls.
Let's identify some actual examples. Reluctance as attitude to prevent youths using facilities. Then becomes action . Results in service users feeling` not welcomed.`

Its muscular spiritual triumphalism, Defiantly its not Christian. Spiritual bypassing--the use of spiritual beliefs to avoid dealing with painful feelings, unresolved wounds, hold developmental needs--Even here in this ..`backwoods back lane`.. its pervasive, thankfully largely unnoticed .

Departed still speak.

Those clear full of life Eyes, now wide fixed, mouth once had laughter and intelligence no longer will speak. Nurse says now dropped open. Call it dead and not really recognizable. All those tasks, memorial service, obituaries written. People gathered spoke about deep love for the departed.

Gathered but the main person is absent. Also I was supposed to go first we had plans for that. The presence of 'Life departed' is all in the air, everywhere.

Always talk about the 'person departed' being in a better place. No longer in pain. Search through scripture and sacred song all echo that same message. 

You will hear this often commonly even from non religious, non spiritual, non physiology All echo same message.

But you remain here. They remain alongside. Sending messages sometimes images to remind you. But you are here.

Suppose non of us get the promise of tomorrow. But time when all tears will be wiped away echoes often you hear this.
