 So found this song that at one time expressed the pain that felt as guy whose felt broken . .found song identified with. Been like a shadow in my video vault of music held close. All my emotional literacy was being expressed by another. 

Of course, learnt that it maybe was different shadow dance for the person who penned the lyrics. Understand plus grasp that, but connection was there. Recently listened closely to the song.

One discovery was why had felt so low in myself. You see l have changed, perhaps also l' have grown.

All the experiences of living shape myself. no longer feel this blue nor damaged. Recall me at that time.

But this here this is not Kevin who first heard the song......Every grain of sand.

Indeed the number of utterly different cover versions of the song should keep us aware of just how much there is in the music. 

(Personally my favourite version is by Emmylou Harris.)

 ...Which is interesting because the verse of the song opens with three lines based mostly on one note.
