Jesus never said

Jesus never said the Poor you will always have with you` he said` follow me,                 love God                                       and obey his commandments which mean `we follow the instructions around mercy not being proud or too rich and care for others`.           lf you do not do this"then the poor you will always have with you"            True that.         Anyway for more of my dodgy theology,   (l won`t be a dodgy theologian in the next life)      keep in touch Shalom

why do the poor keep getting poorer?

so what did we learn from the great 'benefit street debate' C5

we learn't that edwina curry and katie hopkins were seperated at Birth.
that the facts around 'benefit' are not as good as a lie
we still have to have a serious debate

we missed the statement that needed to be debated
85 people own 3/4 of the worlds wealth?

Rev Steve Chalke made the fact l keep going on about!
'there has yet to be serious discussion about a painful and tough subject!'

Why do the poor keep getting poorer?

30 years been going down a hill of professional community and youth work,
l have witnessed the issues getting worse,
still l stand among the poor.

Debating,

whats the point of Vicky Beeching

What’s the point of Vicky Beaching?

Firstly she invented herself and tried to impose herself on the Christian southern softies as a singer

Failure

Failed

So desperate around 2009 maybe the wrong date but she was scheduled to sing why the freck do we want a singer at the `youthwork conference`.

Sheer delight she was `too sick to sing` they played the odd track from her then album

They were right `she was too sick to sing

Then she appears on TV as a journalist Please another failure.
failed
TICK THE BOX

Then it Theologian on SKY T.V paper review

Enough already failed twice failure ticked the box

No

Back again this morning as wait for this your gonna love it “Internet ethics researcher`.

This is one desperate woman

Please personal plea here Miss Vicky `failure` Beaching enough already l can`t keep turning off every time you reinvent yourself

Here an idea

Go away spend a few years working in a hard northern environment reflect, get a sense of God there, and write about it in your own diary. That way you do all you already tried to do and without the sick warbling that never passed as singing.

Or perhaps grow some T%*S.

Either way whatever you choose enough already.

She like the British equivalent of Orange housewife Gretchen Rossie".

the debate is on TV tonite

New research from Homeless Link indicating that around 4 in 10 young people become homeless because their parents are no longer willing to house them, reinforces our recent calls for Government to reconsider proposals to remove Housing Benefit for under-25s.
Young and Homeless 2013, based on a survey of 169 frontline agencies (homelessness charities and local authority housing departments), reveals that more than half of young people find themselves homeless because of relationship breakdown.

1984-4014 my journey has had these issues proffesionaly and personaly as a backdrop
it pains me deeply

Benefits Street's White Dee is set to go face-to-face with Katie Hopkins in a live debate tonight (February 3).

The pair will form part of a panel to discuss benefits in the UK, alongside former London Mayor Ken Livingstone, ex-Tory MP Edwina Currie and former model Annabel Giles, who previously lived on benefits as a single mother.

O'Grady said: "It's one of those programmes to get Middle England 'up in arms'. These people are the sacrificial lambs on the altar of light entertainment and they have gone willingly: a smart tongue has got them to say all sorts and it is a very unfair representation of unemployment in this country.

"A lot of people do not choose to be on benefits and this is portraying everyone on benefits as doing it because they want to, not because they have to - it's shocking."

Asked how he would reduce the benefits bill, he explained: "Create more jobs for a start and raise the basic wage - it's appalling. You'll get people saying, 'Why should I come off benefits and go and do that job, lose an extra £30 a week and work myself to death 11 hours a day?'

"So raise the basic wage. Iain Duncan Smith was born with a silver spoon in his mouth."

WELL here my fourpennys worth why are we not attacking the real thieves in the temple politiains football stars bankers police commisioners employment staff who force people of benefit onto poorly paid unskilled work so has to look good themselves
here a question
why do we need on average 3 securtiy guards at signing on positions

CBB14 FINAL

Who will be crowned the 2014 winner?

l AM THINKING IT NOT GOING TO BE THAT CLOSE
BUT MAYBE CASEY WILL COME SECOND?

©Channel 5
It's time to crown the winner of Celebrity Big Brother 2014.

Cabin fever may well have truly set in for our celebrities but their torment will soon be at an end (well - ish) when they have to face the boo-happy CBB live audience.

N-Dubz rapper Dappy can barely keep his clothes on in anticipation of being released back into his natural celebrity habitat, though in fairness he's not the only one to have a clothing optional sensibility. There's been nakedness galore occurring in the house over the last three and a bit weeks.

TOO MUCH SEXUAL PERFORMANCE AND GAMES OF RUDE AND WICKED AT TIMES EVEN HATEFUL NATURE
HEY WHAT DO l KNOW
Sadly the CBB dream ended early for Blue singer Lee Ryan who found himself tossed rudely out in the cold on Sunday
TOSSER TOSSED OUT NOW THERE A LINE

As Emma Willis (remind me again what is she famous for being?)
entered the house to surprise-evict him personally after he received the fewest number of votes.

Just six celebrities remain to battle it out to be crowned the winner of Celebrity Big Brother 2014.

But who is most likely to win?

MY MONEY IS ON JIM RUNNING INTO FIRST PLACE

Which celebrity will romp to victory and when can you watch the final show?

MUST ADD I DO NOT AGREE WITH ANY DEATH THREATS OVER SOCIAL MEDIA
COOL IT FOLKS IT IS A GAME SHOW
CRUEL AT TIMES
ENTERTAINING
FUN
RUDE
it is only TV

all this DRAMA so little in return

So whole this drama for so little in return
firstly Car stolen
then accusation that l had something to do with it?
l could not recall my reg number
the Filth /Police said it was suspicious that all my documents where in the vehicle
Why would you do that?Do what!
leave all your documents in the vehicle ?
actually always have
does that make me a criminal?
Daft!
Expect all my documents to be where l can find them
as with me most things get lost in the house.
Well not lost, but misplaced

Anyway on too another discussion
we always vote Labour round here.
l don't and most people know to myself, do not vote Labour
you say that round here and get a bloody nose
What kind of argument is that
Actually not true
most people do not vote,
but give others the excuse they vote Labour.

a Day coming

THE BRITISH PERIOD
The British Period is a very significant era in Maltese history and the British legacy still lives on in many aspects of daily life in Malta today. After assisting the Maltese to expel the French, the British found themselves sovereign of the Islands, but were at first uncertain as to whether they should retain the territory. The Treaty of Amiens in 1802 established that Malta would be passed back to the Order of St. John, but some locals were not keen to return to their former rulers and requested to remain under British protection.

Through cycles of war and peace, Malta's fortunes were inextricably linked to those of Britain.

In Ħal Kirkop, one finds the menhir monolith (which has become the symbol of the village), Paleo-Christian Catacombs, the medieval Church of the Annunciation, the Parish Church dedicated to St. Leonard, two band clubs (St. Leonard Band Club and St. Joseph Band Club), and the cemetery inside which there is a chapel dedicated to St. Nicholas. A cross placed on a column is found in Ħal Kirkop square and it is called "Is-Salib tad-Dejma" in Maltese. There is also a quite interesting collection of niches scattered around the village.

Issue on my mind

• What’s the impact of your actions?
What’s the benefit?
Keep asking these questions until you can link what you’re doing to a cause you care about.

Big Brother which l am finding really interesting each dayhousemates have been summoned late last night then they each in turn had to stand up and nominate two others, minus the usual privacy of the Diary Room.
l would have no problem l imagine doing this activtie

After gathering the housemates, Big Brother kindly provided each of them envelope containing pictures of their fellow housemates. The housemates were then told to pick the two pictures representing the housemates they wanted to nominate before revealing them to the group, along with their full and frank reasons for choosing them.
NOW HOW FULL AND FRANK I WOULD BE I AM NOT SURE

All apart from Luisa that is, who was was banned from nominating after breaking the rules

safeguarding issues
Universal services, like GPs, have to play a key role in the identification of safeguarding issues, early intervention and appropriate referral to other agencies.

"The GP did not consider a possibility of safeguarding issues related to Adult N's depression.

"This should have resulted in the GP making contact with other professionals to establish if there were issues related to safeguarding."
this is failure and it no good being in the local papersomeone was responsible and failed to help simple except someone Die`s due to this failure

In a world so distorted
Where the worst is best reported
Love maybe something
That will see us through

There maybe girls that I'll remember
That made me happy for a while
But none of them compare with you my love
However hard they they all may try

If the bus that we're taking
Has for ages kept us waiting

WOW O WOW O WOW
What strength of meaning portrayed innocently from a time decades ago
When the singer plied his trade performing songs on an instrument with Gilbert it was
A piano he has been a difficult artist to pin down but full of warmth and real value in the meaning of the songs
Not that some artist these days are not strong in the same values and traditions some of my latest sounds are familiar in emotional structure and affirming values but these have not yet stood that simple test of time.

When the evening is over
Put your head upon my shoulder
And I'll tell you something
I believe is true

happyness is missing U

anyway back to mixing music and trackplaying start Tichie stryder No 1 into Tia pain then Rhiannon man down followed jazz Z Diamonds...yesterday l bought Gilbert O Sullivans greatest hits some beautiful life affirming songs that roll over you....
In a world so distorted

There maybe girls that I'll remember

But none of them compare with you my love

rambling on 20th Jan 2014

Hull City need to start winning it getting very close down at the bottom of the premier league, cute football with no goals does not add up to survival.
THE city council has chosen to sit on the fence over the increasingly divisive issue of Hull City's proposed name change. In its official response to a Football Association consultation over the idea, the authority says the name change "is a matter for the club's owner and supporters not the city council".
Reporting in the Hull Daily Mail centre defence Alex Bruce says "City continue to observe the relegation scrap from afar, despite falling one place to 11th in the table, but Bruce is under no illusions that they are a side in the thick of the fight for survival".
"We're not safe, no. Definitely not," said Bruce, who formed a defensive effort that came within three minutes of earning a precious point.
"Any team from tenth downwards can still go down".
BUT lets hope its SAFC cardiff and palace really city gotta improve.

Really interesting article in youth work magazine.........‘youth worker’ is a generic term for everyone who might work with young people. What it doesn’t convey is the unique gifting, skills, specialist knowledge, talent and creative genius that you bring to your youth-worker-ness.

There is so much more to who we are than that title, the danger is to not think beyond our role to what we actually bring to youth work
true we bring ourselves.

Also, Can we deliver youth work as a lone ranger type do you need a team around the worker well of course but how much of the role is delivered by energetic visionaries? Everyone knows we should be working with others, but many simply do not have the vision or desire to do more then support the one holding the vision
Not that this is the best.Often many have just been allowed to do the role
when they have become the leader/boss/senior worker they often do not want any intrusion

tough watching a generation become wasted.

It's tough watching a generation become wasted. The covered tattooed bodies. Earrings in nose several in each year some on lips and eve...

MAYBE WE WON`T MEET AGAIN

. . . she got a postcard in the mail
That just said Heaven, with a picture of the ocean and the beach
The simple words he wrote her
Said he loved her
How he'd hold her if his arms would reach
Wish you were here, wish you could see this place
Wish you were near,Wish I could touch your face
The weather's nice, it's paradise
It's summertime all year and there's some folks we know
They say, "Hello, "
I miss you so, wish you were here"
