life in a northern town . . . . we are not going back

The daily dramas
She made from nothing
So nothing ever made it right
She liked to push me
And talk me back down
'Til I believed I was the crazy one

great time at beamish with Matthew on Saturday
walks and rides in the wind and rain
a northern town from the past

transport from yesteryear when we could afford to catch the bus and ride the trams
just superb day out with son last Saturday
the rains and wind problematic this last four days but getting by
Beamish took us back to a time we are not going back too
todays news on the political scene
about cutbacks reminds me that some want us to go back
the good old days
not good for my parents nor my generation
guess what we need to fight against

Wish you were near,Wish I could touch your face
The weather's nice, it's paradise
It's summertime all year and there's some folks we know
They say, "Hello, "
I miss you so, wish you were here"
