Research by uSwitch has revealed that high living costs, below average government spending on health and education, lack of holidays and late retirement have contributed to a bleak picture for Brits.
UK worst place to live in Europe
Workers swarm Europe's streets in anti-cuts protests
To make matters worse, the UK no longer enjoys the highest net household income in the continent.

22 miles away from Skipton, near Horton in Ribblesdale.

Penyghent is the nearest of the "three peaks" of the Yorkshire Dales, the other two being Ingleboro and Whernside. Keen walkers climb all three in the same day, in the 'Three Peaks Walk', a classic Yorkshire walk. Set in the heart of the scenery of the Yorkshire Dales National Park it's 23 miles round the full circuit and for those wanting to collect the badge you have exactly 12 hours to complete the whole walk. Starting from Horton in Ribblesdale the walk covers all three peaks, the hills of Penyghent, Whernside and Ingleborough.

what a drive, but worse was coming back.
the road back was blocked by a land fall
to do with the recent rain.
Hence we were diverted into a strange place
ended up near Skipton
should l have gone via Kendell
still not sure

the scenery along the route is beautiful
but stress's l imagine coming from another who was time watching made it difficult to enjoy
anything but this person schedule

Everyone took in the beautiful scenery
gasp at the size of the mountains
l imagine it will take you lifetime to get to know them all
the Air felt purer
really enjoyed a cuppa
in the local cafe
which is walker friendly
food costly like the area
not far from the lakes either
you need to be well prepared for this
environment and climate

Is everybody fine?

Is Everybody fine. The youth group are!
 Yes they are.

At the heart of "Everybody's Fine" is the theme of family and physical and emotional distances traveled to bring the members back together
is everybody fine?
So Frank, recently widowed and on heart medication, decides to ignore his doctor's advice and head out on a cross-country road trip to visit his offspring. He travels first to New York where there's no sign of his troubled artist son, David (Austin Lysy). He surprises careers minded Amy (Kate Beckinsale) in Chicago, slacker musician Robert (Sam Rockwell) in Colorado and free-spirit Rosie (Drew Barrymore) in Vegas.
is everybody fine
"Mom used to say,
‘Make your dad proud. He works hard for us,'"
Rockwell's Robert tells Frank.
"Well, I know you're not proud."
Frank dismisses the candor, unequipped to deal with it since his wife always handled the family's emotional issues. The strength of "Everybody's Fine" is watching De Niro slowly transform Frank into a father willing to listen and accept his children for who they are and not who he wanted them to be
So really is everybody fine?

was it brave or stupid to just up and depart?
l kevin am mixed!
did he just take up a life someplace else,
or end his days.

the only thing l have learned about life can be summed up in 3 words

IT GOES ON
God circle you and all you love

ITS NOT WAR

To feel forgiveness, you gotta forgive
Do you see the stars or the darkness begin?
You fight your war, I fought for my life
You pay your dues and I'll pay mine

It's not war, just the end of love
Just like before but it's never enough

conkers

a memory, of a trust or perhaps of a commitment of change, to draw the line and walk ahead, the path behind, designed in lines encrypted in our minds

by now l should know better

l had a ruff 24 hours,
emotions have been really upside down.
should be more careful
at my age l expect to be able to weather a few storms
but l am surprised by how disturbed l got.
even lost some sleep walking the cliff face at 6.30 in the morning
(don't worry not needing the Samaritans).
if l was honestly sharing my truest feelings then it feels like l have come out of the square ring, losing by points.
that a feeling l know from my past
the fighter sits alone in the dressing room
the shouts nearby. . . .
let him know everyone`s getting on with what`s going on elsewhere!
He is sat trapped with his thoughts.

She asks me how the cat's been. I say, "Moses he's just fine
but he used to think about you all the time.
We finally took your pictures down off the wall.
Oh, Jessie, how do you always seem to know just when to call?"
She says, "Get your stuff together. Bring mose and drive real fast."
And I listen to her promise, "I swear to God this time it's gonna last."

Jessie paint your pictures

'bout how it's gonna be.
By now I should know better, your dreams are never free.
But tell me all about our little trailer by the sea;
Jessie you can always sell any dream to me.

I'll love you in the sunshine, lay you down in the warm white sand.
And who knows, maybe this time things'll turn out just the way you planned.

oh Jessie how do you know just when to call

is it true Anita Skorgan

Anita Skorgan Is it True
I thought I caught a glimpse of you
I thought I saw your face
as the Sunday morning due
melted every trace

Did you walk the earth in vain
conquering the dead
or did life make you forget
the crown upon your head

Is it true what they say
Are you coming back someday
Is it true what they say
About you

If it's true will you be
A guiding light to me
and the few that still believe

WENT CLIMBING

"The atmosphere the fans create at the KC Stadium is a real buzz and our home form is very good, so hopefully we can continue that."

Looking to climb the Championship ladder

Although City's woes on the road have been much documented, the Tigers have quietly made an impressive start to life in the Championship at home.

Three games have brought two wins and seven points, with City keeping clean sheets on each occasion.

Oh, girl, don't you remember?
It was not so long ago
We were makin' plans for two
Just me and you
Now you tell me that you've found somebody
Someone who loves you better
No one could ever love you
The way I do

from the eagles
long road out of edan

I'll do anything
Yes, I would
To save what we have
To keep you by my side
I'll love you 'til death do us part

But what do I do
What do I do
When I'm still missing you?
What do I do
What do I do with my heart?

FORGET ALL THAT HOW DO I GET DOWN FROM HERE

everybodys not fine

Talk
Shout
Speak

emotional lteracy is a big issue
in current practice
often people don`t talk
don`t share
don`t listen
don`t reflect
life happens to us and at such a pace
so we listen less
share less
talk to fewer perons
stop reflecting

then we stop living as we die within.

hull city lose again and again

SEYI Olofinjana says he "feels sorry" for Hull City boss Nigel Pearson because he's had to let his best players leave.

City have off-loaded a host of big names since suffering relegation from the Premier League in May in a bid to cut their annual £39m wage bill to somewhere nearer to £15m.

That has seen the likes of Geovanni, Bernard Mendy, Daniel Cousin, Boaz Myhill and a host of other household names head for pastures new

thin line between heaven and hull gets wider and wider.
