Along with Chris and Matty great memories,we enjoyed the style, clothes, not forgetting the message.
Fanx U Greenjade.
God bless you guys loads and loads
.

main stage Greenjade where in the underground stage
l need to check who this group where but very enjoyable

this was Megson a local band from the North singing about issues
l could identify with
really big on the UK folk scene
this was in the performance venue
nice food drinks comfortable unique starry canopy
lovely atmosphere very different to other venues

thank you all the crew at performance venue God Bless you also loads and loads

American rockabilly and still praising the Lord
the dodge brothers
cool is that the word
cool and informative
l was a cool cat and dig it
this was in the big top another venue at greenbelt
God bless these guys

l think they apart from Beverly knight where the most professional outfit
they really connected with the audience and had loads of stories around the songs and own life experiences
hugely enjoyed by all who attended

Greenbelt the artist we saw

This Fiona Regan delicate voice small tart with big guitar
cute style and folk performance
no real interaction with audience,l would buy her album
not sure how main stream she is,first time l heard her but still excellent

GREENBELT MORE IN TENTS

not the best photo more later
but the youth group
we meet up from tents for breakfast
later for cake and cold drinks
around 9 for chocolate and brownies
also connect for cooked meal at tents around 5-6

very liberal with meetings and rules
Greenbelts one of the few places l can do this
let the young people get own sense of time and space
wonder about God
what happening and breath, breathe the air let time flow and connect deeper and more sensitively

after breakfast they just tend to drift and settle into having no routine
l like that they do this
it works due to it not working and not having a routine
time not important
and it gets dark or they get hungry so we adjust?

Greenbelt 2010

IT WAS INTENSE AND IN TENTS

Excited and expecting a time of blessing at this challenging time for myself
the group are formed and ready to experience shalom and wrestle with the God and Jesus principles evident at Greenbelt.

york

summer around the walls of York
for many of our young people the project gives them only chance to get away from the village
also with us being very rural
opportunities to explore other areas are very limited
hence York and the walls along with the railway museum

lookin more like a harry enfield `ole git`

just a few thoughts

there are some people who even thou you don`t meet them often
the memories stay with you as you get older
thier presence, character stay with you
a glance back at photo reminds a time
me l travel back in my head to be with them,
smell them,
touch.

then you wake up?

same for you?

well we survived a tremendous downpour around 10 this morning and it not a great deal better now
but God bless those experiencing worse in Pakistan and Chile.
sometimes the warmth is not evident in the UK but our structures and historical investment help us cope with weather events.

what investment am l leaving for those in the future.?

what has Kevin built that will benefit others when l leave?

this was last summer in the Windle valley a normal August day
this appears to be the rhythm now
late august means autumn temperatures and cold chilly weather

Aug 18, 2010

the seasons appear shorter getting beautiful godness sunsets across the fields along the golden harvest
around this time of year across 21,15-21 45 you can get the sun going down and the moon rising
beautiful thank you Jesus
thank you lord

where next in the journey of life

soon l will not harbour anymore in this rural village
like often l not sure what lies ahead
only that even though my faith is momentarily weak
he has already gone before me
not ready to leave just yet.

l hope you dance

l hope you always feel small alongside the northsea
l hope you miss me today
but l hope you dance

The joy of working with young people.

The joy of working with young people.

Such joy is mine.

Aug 14, 2010

oh no

Well it must be my age or something like it?
l feel really drained and cold again today
the big test will be how l feel in five days time as l understand something is passing thru my system.
major event last Friday the weather was really the spoiler but there nothing l can say to change that
we just have to get on with whatever comes our way
and remember what the bible says
"THE RAIN COMES ON THE JUST AND THE UNJUST"

Aug 12, 2010

Cayton bay 2010

http://A bar-b-q went the way it should the food was brilliant and the atmosphere around the campfire was real magic.

This is Debi before she fell out of the hammock,  All the fun of an old fashioned camp. Away for 3 days at the coast not far from Scarborough.

Dropped down by the Cliff face into the caves at thorn wick bay,
slightly magical but very cold.
Always have to be aware of tide times and depth at this place.

Aug 4, 2010

barbies are very sociable things
but we so often fastrack them into quickie food cook

they have lot of barbie on the sopranos
taking about business
while the meat is grilled over hot colas

Jesus would have had barbies going round at church
food is very Evangelical
talk eat share

27—30 Aug 2010 Cheltenham Racecourse.

Not long now...
Gil Scott Heron, Beverley Knight, Shed Seven, Courtney Pine, The Dodge Brothers, Foy Vance, London Community Gospel Choir, Jars of Clay, Herbaliser, Ty, The King Blues, Lou Rhodes, Ugly Duckling, With 21,000 people, music, campers and traders aplenty, Greenbelt might look like any other Festival. But scratch beneath the surface and you find something special.

Alongside musicians such as Billy Bragg, Fightstar, Royksopp, Athlete, Dan le Sac vs Scroobius Pip, José Gonzalez, Gilles Peterson, The Proclaimers and Seth Lakeman, each year the Festival hosts a rich programme of visual and performing arts, spirituality, comedy and talks and discussion – recently welcoming the likes of Michael Morpurgo, Tamsin Omond, Anita Roddick, Jasper Forde and Billy Childish, Union Dance and The Reduced Shakespeare Company.
The diversity of content not only demonstrates our commitment to the arts, faith and justice, but also our underlying values of tolerance, dialogue and hope.

just a few photos from the locality
showing some people returning from there journeys that have taken them from land to sea

A new day begins
out and walking the cliff tops
some prayer and reflection stretch of my mussels

l once was at sea and the weather changed and it became very rough
so l panicked a bit. . . . in my cabin
but came out, attempted to be cool around the group l was responsible for.

LISTEN NOW

God will listen and answer your prayers.
just sometimes it feels like he is not there
is it the pace of life that encourage doubts?
moments and events!
words from other people,
mine and your actions!
life is complex!

Jul 26, 2010

this bloke walks around the town of Whitby in a Franky costume but gets really aggressive if you take a photo without paying
however he wont pay for damaging your camera
are not mobile fone cameras a brilliant idea?

love this photo of Lil Chris and Jodie mac boxing
note the attention given in the back by the crew from dewberry watching the contest unfold
it takes a special kind of courage to go into the square ring.
Jodie and chris are good mates
l had to box my friends but that was in championships
not less run of the mill show

Jul 23, 2010

is it all down hill now
listening to desert island discs and Tom Robbins said that;-
at 40 you imagine you can living till 80 but at 50 you don't imagine living to 100

l don't think l want to be 100

Matty my boy.

My son Matty a few years ago at cayton bay

I am really proud of my son Matthew and how he behaves and his relationship with family and myself.

Children grow up and they live a life
their own life.
A life unlike mine
they treasure own life, that is tough and is lived is my son Matthews life.
My prayer is he will grow to know the lord!

choclate sausage

Took home a cooked sausage from a café
didn`t wanna waste it.
no one wanted to taste this delight
so melted chocolate put some cream nearby and some fresh
strawberries on the plate.
Delicious till the first bite
ha ha ha ha ha
it just me, `being me`.

Jul 21, 2010

we were talking how the sea is always there in our environment
the tide returns
The seasons are set.
Some homes are concrete
they have been there for years.
but. . . .but ... . .but
industry is changing. . .
banks have gone bankrupt. . .
the mines no longer produce coal . . .
Oil is in slow down . .
some Animals have gone extint!

so show me

so show/me/how to feel/about being me/so that I can leave my shell/
and shout and jump and kick/until something gets changed/
because the future is mine/and I don't want it to be like/the past/
and I hate/ seeing people starve/in order to give me/cheap trainers.

if its ugly then so am l

This 'Street Art', caught me out  Saturday on a memorial day for young Friend who died.
Uncanny although weird, still very strange, it's lovable.
Forgive me if in future person read these rambles notes, (looks familiar
our Aron looks like him to my eyes).
Anyway been stepping out my comfort zone......Trying to make new friends odd do something different.
Working around issue connects abuse and teenage pregnancy.
Difficult but challenging, lives are sometimes messy.

Jul 16, 2010

walk along the coast

empowerment and delegation are the key to how youth mission has to progress
trust and discussion are keys to sharing vision
without vision the people die

so took some time to walk with the lord
reflected and thought
prayed and got a degree of sense into the life and journey l am taking

matthew and jessie saturday

it dose not seam like 3 years ago Matty was born
but its been a 1/4 of a century

one way of developing your mussels

better is one day in your courts Lord
then a thousend somewhere else
the weather has not been as promised today but has largely been overcast
l am examining the non verbal communications that make up 80%
of the communication we use
so about touch between each person
a shrug
smile
raised eyebrow
the thoughtful pose
the bringing of a cup of tea
a hug

someone today asked me for a hug!

One minute reflection.

Got this travelling bug
love to see places
not very good at staying still.
Try to maintain friendships still talk regular to people that have known for nearly 20 years,
which is an achievement with the journey physically geographic this guy's has taken.
l have a friend , really wonderful, she only talks to me around every 19 months and this is when she distressed.
Others stay out her life for this
but l concluded that little contact is better then none.
Seth in film 'city of angels', talking to Nicholas cage characters.
Communication becomes talk about lose of friendships, and concludes it was better for one minute of someone's time then none at all.
as that one minute was so special.

                                      Me here now ....l agree.

these old rustbuckets

time waits for no one
not me anyway
nor it appears these old rust buckets which have served and are about to be made into ?
well what l don`t know
however they served
we all gotta serve someone
or something

l try to serve the Lord!
it a challenge and l recognised that from the first days
but the journey l have been on has like the sea been rough but pleasant
all over the place and emotive.

Some rescue news.

Coastguard crews winched down the cliff to get to the four people while the RNLI waited in the choppy water below as it pushed the orange re...

MAYBE WE WON`T MEET AGAIN

. . . she got a postcard in the mail
That just said Heaven, with a picture of the ocean and the beach
The simple words he wrote her
Said he loved her
How he'd hold her if his arms would reach
Wish you were here, wish you could see this place
Wish you were near,Wish I could touch your face
The weather's nice, it's paradise
It's summertime all year and there's some folks we know
They say, "Hello, "
I miss you so, wish you were here"
