BROKEN A PROGRAMME OF SUCH EXCELLANCE.

A modern Catholic priest leads an urban parish in Northern England,
Which from my own observance looks very much like Liverpool.
The priest well crafted character, by fine acting of Sean Bean, helps support encourages his congregation. Also trying  balance, wrestle with faith , poverty, daily struggles along with sometimes disturbing everyday issues that visit.  Character further dealing with his own imperfections. such a necessary watch. Completely recommend this Series. While asking why are we not witnessing this quality of writing displayed for viewing more often.
Where  are the platform discussing these programmes while dialoguing the concern's, Our learning and the wrestling we may also be exploring.                                                                       Absent.

Broken was a gutsy series. It dramatized big themes—conscience, guilt, shame—and, with powerful writing and performances, told big stories about the Church, poverty and abuse. It's made for bitter viewing at times but even at its toughest, there's been a lit candle glowing determinedly at its centre.

This is an excellent presentation of  normal inner city faith community, Which this author keeps signposting the faith communities traverse among towards.

Why people still reluctant to focus on tabloid gospel as form of non linear communication astounds myself. These modern parables in style of Jesus we should embrace. Simply there just not enough of this calibre of TV series being made, faithfully written well scripted, issues plus concerns many would be wrestling with.
