There is often a chasm today between people with religious faith and those who may consider themselves "spiritual".

 O Master, grant that I may never seek So much to be consoled as to console, To be understood as to understand, To be loved as to love with all my soul.

Make me a channel of Your peace, Where there’s despair in life, let me bring hope, Where there is darkness, only light, And where there’s sadness, ever joy.

Make me a channel of Your peace, It is in pardoning that we are pardoned, In giving of ourselves that we receive, And in dying that we’re born to eternal life.

Unfortunately, in life, things rarely go according to plan, When he burst on the scene at the age of 19 for United against bitter rivals Liverpool in the Premier League under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, it felt like the Mancunian had the world at his feet and an Old Trafford career in the palm of his hands.

There is often a chasm today between people with religious faith and those who may consider themselves "spiritual".But in conversing away from the temple like the market place we encounter faithful commitments, faith filled conversations, faith held by those not in the temple. Here part of that same `stuff`.

However in May 2025 Brandon Williams left Chester Crown Court. with a 14-month prison sentence, suspended for two years, a three-year driving ban,  a significant amount of community service. Further memory of a crash that mercifully caused no fatalities or serious injury. The mental scars are a daily reminder of how close tragedy came, and give him the fuel to ensure he does not waste this chance.  for Williams, it's been a traumatic period played out under the gaze of the world's biggest football club. His every move watched, analyses and often criticised. now his redemption has begun at Hull City a second tier football club.

Listened to the interview on radio was impressed as the conversation moved to playing football, others believing, but  also offering a form of forgiveness plus acceptance. talk about Mums cup of tea, market café work ethic. Hope that the natural stuff can become the main focus.

we all need to be given better chance, all need to be offered different chance, then maybe even the next day we offer same opportunities to the same person. Better chance, Different chance.

Maybe that's when we become the channel of peace. Its here we offer counsel hope grace all that big stuff that's sometimes required. Maybe we also offer a cup of tea in the market place to another who needs a listen.

Its a theme this guy returns to often, its theme we should believe, its theme perhaps. NO something experienced. (Experienced the other side also). YOU the peacemaker that fits.
