There is a pleasure in the pathless woods; / There is a rapture on the lonely shore; / There is society, where none intrudes, / By the deep sea, and music in its roar; / I love not man the less, but Nature more... / - Lord Byron
Came across this when watched the movie INTO THE WILD.
Pretty decent film seen now several times, soundtracks vital addition. actually pretty sad movie. Like so often books hard to put down. Film centers on life lad Chris final two years of wayward young adult who goes into wild to express his desire to be away.
To be away. Read that again..wanted to be away from all this messy stuff called LIFE.
SEE SOMETHING SIMILAR ANTICS ON THE ECONOMIC NEWS Leader of free world wants to punish others. Simply not going along with his way of being. Royal family member Prince Harry wants his own way. See it on the buses in young folk. It own music on in the journey to collage.
Block out the noise of this messy world. Absorbed in games and expensive iPad blocking out the messy world they don't feel welcome, nor valued in as members not invited to the table.
The book about the film INTO THE WILD, paints different image of freedom loving Chris star of the film, topic of all the music. He nice but selfish, seeks solace but is nasty, wants to be alone, while can also hurt family.
Life is messy, we have to find a code, way of being, may want to retreat. But mess is out there waiting. It's also here and evident.
