A picture postcard seaside town in 2000

The Holderness coast, East Yorkshire has always been threatened and erosion been a feature of life here. Scientist stated since they were formed in last Ice Age, its soft mud-like clay cliffs from Flamborough Head down Spurn `Point/island` have been vulnerable to erosion, constant battle from the treacherous North Sea waves.

They called it......picture postcard....but it's nothing like that.

Cheap

Noisy

Ugly

Vulgar

Violent

Aggressive

Drug affected

Poverty held

Emotional literacy low

Alcohol abuse high

Intellectually very low

Poor business management

If that's picture of beauty in the coastal area presented to you....it fits.

This here this place ...as singer sang...

this is the seaside town, they forgot to close down.

Everyday feels like rainy Monday with the week ahead `blues`...

MAYBE WE WON`T MEET AGAIN

. . . she got a postcard in the mail
That just said Heaven, with a picture of the ocean and the beach
The simple words he wrote her
Said he loved her
How he'd hold her if his arms would reach
Wish you were here, wish you could see this place
Wish you were near,Wish I could touch your face
The weather's nice, it's paradise
It's summertime all year and there's some folks we know
They say, "Hello, "
I miss you so, wish you were here"
