In a bid to tighten their grip on any outstanding suspects, police implemented emergency Section 60 stop and search powers which was yesterday
extended for another 24-hours to 4 pm on Saturday, while they have also upped regular patrols of the area.
A number of police vehicles and officers were still in Peel Street on Friday afternoon, with a cordon still in place.
The chase happened on October 8 at around 9.30pm and was tweeted out by the force who used a "tpac pre-emptive stop" in order to catch the car
and then arrested those inside for drugs offences, with a large amount of cash also recovered.
