The country's oldest polar bear has died.
Victor, who was 22, suffered with kidney failure and despite the best efforts of the veterinary team, he sadly had to be put to sleep.
Born at Rostock Zoo in Germany, Victor was then moved to Rhenen in the Netherlands.
After retiring from the European breeding programme, Victor was re-homed at Yorkshire Wildlife Park in 2014 where he lived until his death on Friday, August 21.
