An additional 700,000 people in the UK are in
poverty compared to four years ago
This is the first sustained increase for 20 years, the report states, with 400,000 more children and 300,000 more pensioners now in poverty, leaving a total of 14 million people impoverished.
Rising housing costs, alongside higher food and energy bills, debts and an inability to contribute to a pension are some of the reasons behind the increase in figures.
when will we ever learn to look after those not as well cared for as those at the middle
when will we ever learn
to follow God teaching around the poor
but l can not keep waiting for Gods justice
it hurts
l see others hurting
feel that pain
live that pain
seen at first hand the results
do not want this to keep on being the way
even robin hoods in need of robin hood these days
