THE POVERTY MANY CARRY

For a long time the desire in me wanted to see the removal of shops like this one. That remains..the Government in the UK rather late in the afternoon is aware of the abusive methods these shops use to gain custom.
They exist because greed allows
They exist because our society is unfair

They exist where ever poor and the vulnerable can be exploited

They exist because our society is broken
Changes happen to our benefit system and have been taking place since l became a youth and community worker...right back to my first post as paid professional in 1984 . .the poor have been with us before that..yet we have made it worse
I hold in my files all the green papers and the information going back to that period identifying how much worse it was becoming
we have dome nothing
the gap gets bigger
it gets wider
to cross this gap is not possible
