lets grieve with Ankara, pray deeper, reflect further, committ to each other

Mert Çeliksoy is a friend of mine and lives in Ankara a really decent guy
just like many of the youths worked with over last 40 years
I would like to think like me when l was younger
swims in sea loves music and wants to be tolerant of others while experiencing life
sometimes l hope just as it happens
Mert, well he wrote this very, very recently not long after he boasted, laughed with me about swimming in Paradise bay, in Malta. this is something of what he wrote

For those who do not know Turkey, or who distance themselves from these attacks, maybe this will open your eyes.
The bombing this evening occurred in the one of the most crowded parts of the centre of town, next to many bus stops with people waiting to go home, arriving for a night out, and sitting in the park relaxing and drinking tea.

Is  the equivalent of a bomb going off outside Debenhams on the Drapery in Northampton, or on New street in Birmingham, or Piccadilly Circus in London.

Can you imagine being there? Can you imagine the place you walk past every day, the bus stops you use, the roads you cross being obliterated.

Can you imagine the victims? The teenagers catching the bus to go home, the grandparents walking into town, the people waiting for a taxi after a long day laughing and socialising in the sun
.

he is a mate (friend of mine).

I need to reflect further on what Mert is feeling, and pray deeper
so many acts of inhumanity and wickedness
time to reflect, and create in me and you,
 climate of tolerance,discussion and sharing
as Mert above asks its about relationships and the way we view each other

Shelter from October first storm

Got through the storm winds, rain, trees down promenade deserted. Evidence of ugly but or so very beautiful nature. Nature clashing in itself....

MAYBE WE WON`T MEET AGAIN

. . . she got a postcard in the mail
That just said Heaven, with a picture of the ocean and the beach
The simple words he wrote her
Said he loved her
How he'd hold her if his arms would reach
Wish you were here, wish you could see this place
Wish you were near,Wish I could touch your face
The weather's nice, it's paradise
It's summertime all year and there's some folks we know
They say, "Hello, "
I miss you so, wish you were here"
