POLICE have arrested a number of people and seized weapons and vehicles as part of a major operation across six force areas aimed at ending an escalating Gipsy feud.
The feud has already seen two skulls taken from the graves of a traveller family, stolen lorries rammed into two homes in the Darlington area and a petrol bomb attack on a third house in the town.

"Three males entered through the rear of the building via a rear alley-way, using a wooden ladder. The bank staff had already closed the branch, but were refilling the cash machines.
"There is no evidence that weapons were used at this stage but this type of incident clearly leaves the staff very shaken."
The Nissan Qashqai has been retrieved by officers and is being forensically examined, however the identity of its owner is unclear. All three men are described to be of slim build and roughly 5ft 8ins.
Det Sgt Calvert said 40 officers were currently investigating and the branch remained closed throughout yesterday as scene of crime investigators continued to gather evidence.

Abdeslam, his brother, and a third man, were stopped near the Belgian border during a routine check, a Dutch police statement said. He was fined 70 euros ($75) for possession of "soft drugs", meaning either cannabis or hashish, while driving back to Belgium.
