Concrete faith

Sat in the back of Church ,the old lady sits not knowing she is a saint
Because. The image we have of saints and angels is not relevant
Concrete faith, is what she has displayed to her family,
Neighbours
Community
She is not alone.
Justice, goodness, humility, have been the issues she has brought to her creator
Year after year.
From when she was a young intent girl
Whose family left this Island and travelled to seek better life.
Concrete has been her faith, like many days she returns to Church to pray.
Now she sits grey haired, body bent, time has past but her concrete faith remains.

MAYBE WE WON`T MEET AGAIN

. . . she got a postcard in the mail
That just said Heaven, with a picture of the ocean and the beach
The simple words he wrote her
Said he loved her
How he'd hold her if his arms would reach
Wish you were here, wish you could see this place
Wish you were near,Wish I could touch your face
The weather's nice, it's paradise
It's summertime all year and there's some folks we know
They say, "Hello, "
I miss you so, wish you were here"
