HULL City owners Assem and Ehab Allam were today facing huge pressure to explain their surprise suspension of popular manager Nick Barmby.

Although still to be officially confirmed, Barmby is understood to have been suspended from his duties yesterday – leading to an angry outcry from the majority of the club’s fans.
