East coast journey

This is the Cross of the poet Camden who was a Shepherd and served
in the Abbey at Whitby, it a focal point when we climb the 199 steps that are featured in the Dracula story.

Lot of good team building and work goes on when we drive out for the day.
Shared conversations inform myself and other youthworkers about the life's of our young people ,sometimes on these days, a different level of communication.
Safe various disclosures take place and chance for more open sharing.

The simple pleasure of sharing cake and cuppa after a hard bracing walk along the coast.
l used to call into the flask café in back in 1974
when we first started to go to this part of the world Robin Hoods Bay
its some 36 years later and here we are l am grown up
and others stage of their journey is visiting here for the first time
perhaps they will fall in love and build memories to share 36 years later.
Thank God for the journey
Its slow start ,the learning begins as we gather,
l am still a student of Jesus.

On Endings...moment from Northern soul.

The end funny place to start this days blog. But End comes sadly 'End' can be most drastic event. Faced few endings, wish could gone...

MAYBE WE WON`T MEET AGAIN

. . . she got a postcard in the mail
That just said Heaven, with a picture of the ocean and the beach
The simple words he wrote her
Said he loved her
How he'd hold her if his arms would reach
Wish you were here, wish you could see this place
Wish you were near,Wish I could touch your face
The weather's nice, it's paradise
It's summertime all year and there's some folks we know
They say, "Hello, "
I miss you so, wish you were here"
