One minute reflection.

Got this travelling bug
love to see places
not very good at staying still.
Try to maintain friendships still talk regular to people that have known for nearly 20 years,
which is an achievement with the journey physically geographic this guy's has taken.
l have a friend , really wonderful, she only talks to me around every 19 months and this is when she distressed.
Others stay out her life for this
but l concluded that little contact is better then none.

Communication becomes talk about lose of friendships, and concludes it was better for one minute of someone's time then none at all.
as that one minute was so special.

others had been told there wasn`t place for them
l forgot my wallet with monies etc so we had to go back
only 10 miles up the M6



when we got there second optopn
the tide had been huge so the place was inaccessible
but we strove on and had a really good time

emotional literacy is a real issue with our
young people but l don`t feel
those sharing the numbers
understand or care about the future mental health of our young people

The issue l witness young people facing are complex and have not been resolved since l started in youth work in September 1976,
just after l was baptized into the faith of those who follow Jesus.



Youth have this ability not to worry
but it not the same as not caring
they need to be protected from all that we are making the world
so they can just be....

hurdles

We have to overcome hurdles
this can be fun.
sometimes just take it easy and slowly,
if fall of this one near by, in the park
you go back to start,have another go.

Spiritual hurdles occur,they are slower to overcome.
You can`t go back and start again.
Have to battle on.
Days feel longer and the burden heavy.

Life for me is like this at present,
l cant get off.
my friend told me recently she wanted to "just get off the journey she was on
jump back on in 2 weeks time".

we both realised you can`t.
Hold on, prayer more, be patient and wait for the Lord to act.

having to go away and proscrinate,
or think it thru deeply as l prefer to think of this process



for years l thought l was odd
especially as others had other technique
l discovered it was just the way

Have you been to Scarborough... Alley.

Been to one of my favorite places, always like going down this street and examining the work of the streets artist.
They make it clear this is the gift they have presented to the people passing by in Scarborough.


l would give my right ear to paint like van Goth. Was troubled by what others feeling about him.
All that he observed around him was vulnerability.  Van Gogh, he was also a street worker of sorts, also was identified as someone not acceptable in the church building.
But a real kingdom person

Each panel of this gift has got little stories going on around it. This one is about how long is a woman's consequence apparently it connected with a piece of string measures about 36 feet.

When in not so far away times, people viewed this art They felt it was erotic,also rude.
These more enlightened times we have discovered a more relaxed understanding
finding the nature of the embrace to be beautiful, also expressing commitment.
Different people view things from other perspectives. I desire the embrace.

Often sit spent tome looking at this photo, like many people he goes to the church clubs.
He waits for his dinner many pass, a few say 'hello'.
Most days he is on his own to reflective

But who knows 'where the time goes'?
But it travels away, we are not so young
but the journey it can be beautiful always need time to reflect.

uncomfortable place

Up on the cliffs, near us are some caves they are not deep, but can get a few young people in them.
They are exciting places to do activities around, make for fun times.
Somewhere we often go with our group

In youth work ,like most other areas we can find a place called 'comfortable'.

Stay there, and don`t want to confront the areas we don`t know much about.
Experiences like this simple one allow us to confront,
imagine, discover, the uncomfortable.
This can be challenging but the uncomfortable, is a place we all have to visit.
Actually, that's not true its,' best we explore and visit the uncomfortable',
but some, go thru lives avoiding this.

sunday and church

I'd never been to church before, I'd never wanted to; But came a Sunday when I found that I had, nowt to do. I wandered round the town a bit, but, boy, our town is dead, I thought I would have been much better back at home, in bed; But stopped outside St. Peter's church - it really looked a ruin; "It can't do much for folks!" I thought, cause I couldn't see any queuin' I wondered what went on inside, decided that I'd see; I came, I saw, I conquered all my curiosity. It fair gave me the bloomin' creeps before I reached the door, 'Cause I had to walk on gravestones that they'd used to make the floor. Inside I saw these moth-chewed banners drooping near a tomb, But not much else until I grew accustomed to the gloom. I found my way quite easily to where I had to sit, Then lost my way in't prayer book, couldn't make much sense of it. I listened to the others praying, and thought it very odd, That someone had to write a script before they talked to God.
