The journey is long and feels slow distant and removed

This time of the year feels cold  . .. .. Long .. ..  ..Slow
Disconnected
          Uncommunicative
Dispirited
            Like living on Wasteland
Empty
         Without hope
             So very slow and long
Time appears to be on hold and drags     .    .   Slow .   .Cold
                           Where God are you?
l know you but l feel like   .    .    .   .  l don't know where you are?
Am l looking in wrong places
                      Or have we drifted
Anchor me as l journey . . . .  .   . .so we will always be tethered
Please my one true Lord

Do bad guys get away?

A Chelsea Pensioner comes out for a stretch and a smoke, disbelieving of the farce of having our own servicemen treated this way. He tells me two of his friends who just received notice they were being investigated for their action in Northern Ireland in the 70's.
It seems so wrong. The good guys all ended up in the dock. How did that happen?
what an interesting question
how did the good guys get punished
so
Is it also suggesting that bad guys got away?
where the best place to live
Yorkshire at present well hambleton is 5th
below the picture is what one person
written view about
how they felt

I live in a part of the UK that is so far removed from the one that I grew up in and felt safe in.  where my language is rarely heard on the streets, in the shops and on public transport.  where I don't go out at night and don't know who my neighbours are or speak their language.

but is this about generation, both comments are from people in the age range 70+
so much fear and distrust in the comments
we all need to try and engage with these issue`s
the question is are the people of my faith going to be relevant?

Health update

Hull City fans have been urged to protest against the club's owners
The Tigers welcome the Welsh outfit to the KC Stadium on January 7 for a place in the next round of the world's oldest association football competition.
The Trust have voiced their disappointment over the club's mismanagement .
Barely a week on from one supporters pitch protest, in which the Tigers fan received a season-long ban the KC Stadium for displaying an 'Allam Out' banner, these supporters via the trust say the time has come for supporters to stay away from games.
I think that`s good idea,
difficult situation for great supporters
who have done so much in the past
such fans deserve better

well there is some update following a visit to the hospital yesterday problem is l do not agree with the diagnoses
l don`t have issue sleeping at night it during the day when l get tired and a bit achy
below is a bit of investigation yes get pains due to my heart condition, get tired but not in the evening.
Need to take my spray ...but Health  not like the test cases l read about
also very little listening done by the doctor ..all about we feel you are this now do this
when it not the case

Sore chest muscles. This is a common result of having a more open lung capacity after years of decreased breathing ability. The soreness may subside as your body adapts to its new ability to handle more healthy levels of air intake.

you realise that people with apnoea go through torture every night because they're not getting enough sleep.

Suddenly, I was given the energy I had Obstructive sleep apnoea, or OSA, is a breathing problem that happens when you sleep

Apnoea: this means you stop breathing

you really think l am going to wear something like this every time l feel tired
not frecking likely

`Biggles Waller` l dont think!

lets pray for justice, and mercy along with forgiveness in Syria

worrying time and l feel uncomfortable it been really hard time to sit and watch such events

faith of lot people being tested
but this is not God doing its very much a man issue we have done this to each other l need to improve how l think, feel.and act to others it starts there at that moment...others treated the people of Syria awful so God cant just jump down everytime we humans do the wrong thing we have to take the blame and behave as we are instructed...
love God
love one another
follow Jesus

ADVENT HUMBUG AND TRUTH

Oliver Cromwell (someone l have little time for) was famous for his banning of the celebration Christmastime during the English Revolution.
I think it's not unfair to comment that the increased materialistic side to Christmas i
s a concern for many professionals like myself tend to ensure we have activities for teenagers around the Christmas period, society l feel  not just Christians! have expressed issues with the greed.
Should the Church say more about this, yes ,but we have priests but we don`t have followers of Jesus leading the established Church so dont hold out for any thoughtful prologue soon.
I  agree with Spurgeon when he points out that it can be, other than Easter, the only time when Jesus is given much thought in large swathes of nominal Christianity

Are you wondering why
No one talks any more
And all you hear
Is the cry for war
Are you wondering if
There are people who
Hurt inside the same as you

Where are we going

What's emerging as we journey often have to ask am l discerning what going on around myself
In society
In the corporeality
Even the mundane
Nothing happens unless the conditions are correct
That old d Bubba believe and Bible says prepare for tomorrow
We never know what's ahead and we can't simply jump off this thing called life
Not a roller coaster we can stop when our monies or time is finished
Got to journey
Keep looking
Keep asking
Keep praying grant oh Lord you and myself discernment

What a dream the other day GFA and me again often issue in my sleep
Oh well another day beckons another week begins
God bless us all

my old nite life

Romeo & Juliet's

This former club, which was also named Bailey's and Skyline in its time, used to be on the top floor of the Co-op building in Jameson Street. Dress code was strict, with a ban on wearing denim
worked here repairing the tears in the furniture, met loads of great girls here and listened to major soul and disco as l grew up

of course not mentioned much was NewYork on Anlady road this was our place for

Northern soul on a Tuesday evening

Trog Bar.

This George Street bar was designed to look like a cave with stone walls and was a pretty big deal big among the rock progressive music fans too low and small for groups but the DJ was fine, heard stuff like steel pulse, dire straits and jimmy lindsey `where is your love now`
Later on in the decade it was transformed into Lasers, where dry smoke was regularly pumped out and you could watch laser shows. It was nicknamed "can bar" as you could save time waiting for a pint to be pulled by getting a can

Tower.

With no heirs and graces, on Thursday nights you could get a pint for 10p until midnight, which subsequently meant drinkers did not manage to stay in the club for much more than an hour.
The carpet was famous as it had that much beer spilled onto it feet stuck to the floor.
our kid was a resident DJ here for a while

Welly Club here was a venue l DJ and boxed at.

This Beverley Road club was the first to do a regular Acid House dance night in Hull from 1988.
Remembered for being very hot with lots of bandanas and arms flailing everywhere, not much has changed in the popularity on the place.
The music l grew up made me emotionally and spiritually the man l became
here above some of the venues (that are all gone now) Where l was trying to dance and socialise

Very sad letter written recently

Sometimes it the everyday stuff that gets people emotions active.
Like the above sad letter.
But this is something the writer of the letter has invested in for over forty 40 years, that a lot of time, money, effort.
Also been a family investment.
The fuller story is he no longer willing to attend a football match with Hull city, and feels betrayed.

It reminded me of the reason many leave the Church, because of simple things like relationships.
Not the bigger practical stuff.
Nor the theology of faith
But broken trust, feelings.
Simple stuff can sometimes trip myself up, may say wrong thing or do the incorrect thing, in relationships.
Never set out to offend, but sure have failed in the everyday and mundane stuff.
In asking your grace be offered to any like myself, further l thank you for extending that grace to others also.

the JSA SCUM Killing people

David Brown’s sister told an inquest that he didn’t want to be a burden and had tried had to look for work.
An inquest heard that he had ‘immense pressure’ put on him by the Department of Work and Pensions to find work.

Soon before his death he told his mother: ‘The way the JobCentre treat people, it is no surprise people commit suicide.
hope the JSA are proud
what we need is a list of those staff who have sanctioned people
further list of centres who have sanctioned the most
time for direct action against each person
direct action against each centre

Muhammad was illiterate. He depended on oral information from Christians and especially from Jews.
FACT just a simple fact about the man and his book

Apparently we offend the great race known as Islam
by making a programme called peppa pig

surah 2:282 that one man's testimony is equal to that of two women. Surah 4:11 allows a woman only half the inheritance a man receives. Surah 4:34 describes how a husband ought to punish his wife for disobedience: admonish her,
kick her out of bed, and beat her.

The inexorable rise of in-work poverty. A total of 7.4 million people are in poverty, despite being in a working family – a figure that has risen by one million over the last decade. This is despite record employment and the growth of full-time work. One in every eight workers in the UK is now living in poverty

WE KEEP TALKING ABOUT POVERTY, BUT WE NOT DOING ANYTHING.
DECADES OF TALKING ABOUT THE ISSUE, LEAVES ME TO ASK SHOULD CHRISTIANS BE LEADING DIRECT ACTION
There's a view l share that Hull city entire season has so far been one long mistake. Is the core reason for their current league position -- second bottom and looking like relegation --been effected by the leaving of former manager Brucie.
There is at my hometown club a perilous ownership issue, former manager Bruce had been hinting that he might leave at end of promotion year 2015. despite in the success of promotion at the playoff final, he stated "wasn't sure" he would  remain. Few weeks before the start of the season, Bruce resigned saying publicly that because of the problems in the transfer market. Then in my view we made a stupid mistake and employed the coach Phelan in a mangers position.
surprisingly we won first two games, something which astounded the footie world and myself truth be told, since then the Tigers have lost nine of last 12 and are heading down into the lower league.
All very sad in many ways not just inside football but economic and well being fro the city and its culture

Dec 5, 2016

Once recently

Once very recently the trees were weighed
with red orange and autumn leaves
It was warm but cool in the evening
Got up with spring and took a walk to start the day
Praying
enjoying the views
Now in what feels very sudden
It's so very very cold
Winter has arrived
and l wear several layers of clothing
I stay in bed to remain warm
It's cold
I do not have any get up to face the day
The winter struggle takes all my energy
Emotions are stifled as l wearily go
though the motions of surviving
bitterly cold day

Saturday in December

Church commission calls for strip club ban in harsh critique of Paceville master-plan

"Browsing through in-flight magazines on flights to Malta gives the impression that Paceville is a red-light district" - Church's Environment Commission takes aim at strip clubs in harsh critique of Paceville master-plan

Interesting a Malta area, with several issues .
will they be able to address the concern?
has the Church lost its power in such debates
well its worth asking such a question
although l feel the faith of Malta.
A society changing here also?
That a question that this report will begin to answer as we progress in the months taking us into 2017.
22 days to Christmas's l hate this time of year.

oohhh bit strong but truth here
excuse the swear word good point of view

liberals load in Kingston down south
Meanwhile on a Saturday in December we learn that campaigning against frecking could get you labelled asa terrorist.from the Yorkshire post found this satement interesting.

Diane Pickering,( apparently she is school’s headteacher,) quickly l suggest, issued an apology, which stated: “Prevent training requires schools and public organisations to be aware of all forms of extremism, but it is not the view of the school that anti-fracking is a form of extreme behaviour and we apologise that the link has been made.”

Oh well that fine but what does she teach when no ones looking into her views.

Dec 2, 2016

sometimes our pondering and worship can focus on all that is around us like in nature,we can witness God .
it does n`t mean we walk with our hands out expecting.
Our focus can be directed towards the God
who created all that is around us
Many escape to the countryside hills, sand, sea, walks and ask where is God?
often we are not asking who is God?

feeding with Dignity

The restaurant is the latest initiative from the charity Mensajeros de la Paz – meaning messengers of peace – which was founded 54 years ago by Father Ángel García Rodríguez.
Its business model – using breakfast and lunch takings from paying customers to fund free evening meals for the homeless – is simple enough. Its aim, however, is a little more ambitious.
People with nothing can come and eat here in the restaurant
and get the same treatment as everyone else
“The inspiration came the pope who’s spoken again and again about the importance of giving people dignity, whether it’s through bread or through work,” said Father Ángel.
“So we thought, why not open a restaurant with tablecloths and proper cutlery and waiters? People with nothing can come and eat here in the restaurant and get the same treatment as everyone else. It’s just common sense.
Dignity a ship we all need to sail on.
seldom do you hear of such ideas but this one is full of dignity
Often Church projects get subtly taken over like a similar venture near where l live,
although the Church where l live is not relevant Having a rudderless direction
and full of problems from finance to ugly spirituality old cold buildings
this project is rooted working to meet the client base it has always strove to connect with
Again many Faith of Christ project ignore the client base and cater for any but those it was intended to serve

Life to quote is "a dogfight for most people"

Well vanity is one trait l don`t believe l have
trying to be real and honest about the social environment exist in,
the social condition here is surly blighted.
Life to quote Lady Gaga is "a dogfight for most people" feels like that at times
some comments l make do not get well received glad
glad
glad because in uncomfortable discussion l grow
perhaps it like toothache have to experience to appreciate wholeness
guess what! reading ...lot more..starting early part of the morning.
... actually gonna finish a book soon

Announcements of upcoming disputes were supposedly regularly hung on the door of the Castle Church. But, openly hanging the theses without waiting for a reaction from the Bishops could have been seen as a clear provocation of his superiors. Luther would not have done that because he only wanted to clear up some misunderstandings.
It is also worth noting, that there was no open discussion of the theses in Wittenberg and that no original printing of the theses could be found.

Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence

Let all mortal flesh keep silence,
And with fear and trembling stand;
Ponder nothing earthly minded,
For with blessing in His hand,
Christ our God to earth descendeth,
Our full homage to demand

Time to go walking along the local cliffs,
great views and keep me healthy.

That just said Heaven, with a picture of the ocean and the beach
The simple words he wrote her
Said he loved her
How he'd hold her if his arms would reach
Wish you were here, wish you could see this place
Wish you were near,Wish I could touch your face
The weather's nice, it's paradise
It's summertime all year and there's some folks we know
They say, "Hello, "
I miss you so, wish you were here"
