These days l suppose we say a family that shops together, stays lost in the mall together it used to be that a family that prays together stays together what doe`s modern family's do together mostly?. . . it done in the gang together . . we sure got an emotional literacy issue in this district...people do not talk or share together in the home...lot of people go out walking on their own..fishing on their own . . .in the allotment . .on their own..here still lot of role that are old fashioned and oppressive..the man in the garden shed..woman cutting the rhubarb that among the older generation 65+ age ranger...l see lot of tattooed woman with ugly piercings walking around our area, use the hot food take aways and call their offspring CHAV names from the TV screen and the twilight movies or same gene...the children and youths not fashion consumers nor carry modern mobiles.Perhaps this is one result of the cutbacks..l ponder.

Hosea is a character in the old testament that has intrigue me for around 20 years since l worked in L4 back in `93-95.
Hosea prays and has a strategy for praying
so she will return to him
the father of the prodigal son
is in his watchtower praying seeking the return of his lost son
that's about it for spiritual wisdom from me today
time to reflect
life appears slow
l am doing some thinking on my `inter-personal skills

WASHINGTON - The father of a U.S. soldier who was taken prisoner in Afghanistan thanked the motorcycle riders of Rolling Thunder on Sunday for raising awareness of missing-in-action troops and prisoners of war.
At the annual Rolling Thunder rally on the National Mall, Bob Bergdahl promised his son: "You will come home. We will not leave you behind."
Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, 26, of Hailey, Idaho, was taken prisoner in Afghanistan nearly three years ago. He is the subject of a proposed prisoner swap in which the Obama administration would allow the transfer of five Taliban prisoners long held at the U.S. military prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
But also for the Syrian people, my friend Mahmoud speaks with heavy heart about the situation in his homeland, as we work together erecting a gym.

Concern shared as we pull out rhubarb about BNP? and operation of a prayer room being used locally.
My world seams small sometimes . .but we humans are connected via strange cobweb of emotions. Feel the pain of others.

Songwriter Jim Wagner says in relation to the `song last DJ` THAT Tom Petty IS A Liar
Californian songwriter Jim Wagner is continuing his battle against Tom Petty.
Wagner claims Petty based his 2002 song 'The Last DJ' on his 2000 copyrighted
song 'The Last Great Radio DJ'.
"This is the biggest cover-up and conspiracy in music history. No case in history remotely approaches this degree of wrongdoing regarding a copyrighted song".
"I wrote "The Last Great Radio DJ" about Jim Ladd, DJ at KLOS in Los Angeles. I sent him a demo of the song in July of 2000 after attaining a federal copyright. In October of 2000, Ladd led a panel discussion at the Museum of Television and Radio in Beverly Hills inviting his longtime friend, Tom Petty. Ladd introduced Petty to speak. Petty said, "I always refer to Jim Ladd as the last DJ.""
This song may have become a wee favorite of mine l have always tried at shows to mix some rock into the stuff others are dancin along too.
The art of being a DJ is craft developed well,Often used in my youth ministry.

Paddling youth club.
Church hall and singer, Paul Poulton, kidz are always hard audience to please even if you DJ their favorite sounds.
Chance to expose them to something new, another interest but they are young and may not want to paddle that day.
Use this expression a lot in youth work Paddling . . gaining your confidence in the water before you venture into swimming.
Another way suggest of trying, reflecting, listening, going deeper. Questioning. Many of young people gained first insights into loads of stuff at the church hall event. In the safety of the youth programme..As they grew into life here they began to listen hear something different see a new type of witness.
Some beautiful evening sunsets at present,
fantastic weather,
which for me means
got to do the garden.
I HATE GARDENING

The Paul Poulton Project
The Paul Poulton Project are now performing as a five-piece. Consummate professional Leroy Johnson has joined the band, as well as being a well known musician he is a brother in Christ and adds such a lot to the funk, blues and rock sound the band are known for.
Paul's son Isaac is also playing percussion. The new line up did their first gig at Old Nick's one of Lincolnshire's premiere music venues. The evening went superbly, the audience calling the band back on for an encore. The band will be playing at the Ignite Conference on 3 March in Birmingham.

does the Internet make the world more capable of communicating?
Are we more or less socially mobile?
I f l had a mobile as a teenager would l still have been grounded for getting in late?
is that shallow
what about watching the latest big flicks movies on a mobile phone on a park bench is that good use of information communication
or just plain old fashioned stupid.....

l love the youthclub nite life
some youthclubs where we have had premises are just old garage or huge shed
it my humble opinion that we do not invest in young people enough nor those called to work among them
it does not take a huge investment to make a youth club become like a underground nite clubthe DJ and crew and all the skills brought into play can make a huge difference to the quality of the evening
not at a lot of cost either
last ages ago a DJ saved my life
Back in the day, DJ has been a love of mine, like trying too mix tracks together but also playing them alongside a couple of Karaoke tracks. A DVD sample or some film with appropriate dialogue or an issue.
It a skill l do not get much chance to perfect or practice!
Some of my currant favorites on my decks at home are as follows.
DAYTONA :-stereophonics
BLOW IT UP:- vaccines
RICKY CYRUS:- loving arms

is so powerful and not often presented as an image of God...he moved into my heart when l was a 17 and 1/2 year old kid . .

I LISTENED TO MICHEAL W SMITHS
Once a true believer
Once there was a fire in your soul
You were the epitome of blessed faith
Astir with thirst for holiness and hunger for the word
Now you move in other circles
To the beat of different drums
And I see only glimpses of the one you used to be
The inspiration that you were to me
I miss the way His love would dance within your eyes
I miss the way His heart was the soul of your life
And somewhere in the saddest part of heaven's room
Our Father sheds a tear for you, He's missing you, too
Some are calling you a prodigal
Some aren't calling you at all
But far away someone is calling you back home
Do you hear it anymore out there on your own
I miss the way His love would dance within your eyes
I miss the way His heart was the soul of your life
And somewhere in the saddest part of heaven's room
Our Father sheds a tear for you, He's missing you, too
Once a true believer
I found the image of loss and a loving God`s response moving and again l listened to the song
And somewhere in the saddest part of heaven's room
Our Father sheds a tear for you, He's missing you, too
Once a true believer
Me l am still a true believer there is still a burning in my soul his words actions and spirit
still my main inspiration

"How I Dearly Wish I Was Not Here"
Trudging slowly over wet sand
Back to the bench, where your clothes were stolen
This is the coastal town
That they forgot to close down
Everyday is like Sunday
Everyday is silent and grey
Hide on the promenade
Etch a postcard
"How I dearly wish I was not here"
In the seaside town
That they forgot to bomb
Come, come, come, nuclear bomb
Trudging back over pebbles and sand
And a strange dust lands on your hands
And on your face
On your face
Everyday is like Sunday
"Win yourself a cheap tray"
Share some greased tea with me
Everyday is silent and grey

Hull 4 Kev Waller 0
The Housemartins were an English indie pop band that was active in the 1980s.[1] Many of the Housemartins' lyrics were a mixture of Marxist politics and Christianity, reflecting singer Paul Heaton's beliefs at the time (the back cover of London 0 Hull 4 contained the message, "Take Jesus - Take Marx - Take Hope").
The 23 years since its original release have been surprisingly kind to the Housemartins. Whereas as many of their contemporaries have dated. Thanks to the production values of the day, their sound – with the caveat of a few bass solos replacing the then verboten guitar work outs – remains as fresh as it did in 1986 and it’s almost depressing that their lyrics are as pertinent today as they were then.
l cannot believe or even accept that it has been 23 years since Hull beat London 4.0, as you can tell from this blog l find the lyrics very relevant.Of course l follow Jesus more closely l hope and it effects my actions, only recently the follow up Album `PEOPLE WHO GRINNED THEMSELVES TO DEATH` was on my decks at home.
l am a bit slow not always getting the sense and comments made in the lyrics.
The attack on political apathy in 'Sheep' still seethes, with a righteous anger as elsewhere. Sitting On A Fence is a well-aimed swipe at the values that “…see both sides of both sides”. It’s still a thing of wonder that something as caustic as Happy Hour – an assault on corporate work culture and casual sexism – reached the UK Top 3
The lyrics to SHEEP feel like a statement around Church life and `christian faith.
But HEY what do l know?
