the Church hall and singer Paul Poulton the kidz are always hard audience to please even if you DJ their favorite sounds
it chance to expose them to something new another interest but they are young and may not want to paddle that day
l use this expression a lot in youth work Paddling . . gaining your confidence in the water before you venture into swimming.
another way l suggest of trying reflecting ...listening..going deeper..questioning...many of young people gained first insights into loads of stuff at the church hall event...in the safety of the youth programme..as they grew into life here they began to listen hear something different see a new type of witness.
