Life beginnings and everyday endings.

Life has beginnings then endings. Relations form, end, new ones begin others disappear for lots of reasons. Some return. Life ends.

Family and friendships where we experiance lot of new beginnings. Grow and process all kinds of emotions. All life journeys have this progression taking place but we don't take everything that's happening into everyday analysis.

Often life pace we move at denied us time to analyse true findings around beginnings and endings. Work where we should develop can takes us to new beginnings as our vocation moves us to new areas. With new responsibility geographically we move away even if it's around birth city. Then often endings take place as we become more qualified.

Finding retirement brought new opportunities certainly not some l expected with different friendship's. Work chance developed. Sadly old colleague and too busy to remain connected. That's acceptable as they progress without myself.

We see in music and films new endings in song lyrics and film story lines.

That's why we need to enjoy Life daily anew because we may not pass this way again. With present friends and relationships.

LIFE so they, say is a process of beginnings and endings.

We may never pass this way again
I wanna laugh while the laughing' is easy
I wanna cry if makes it worthwhile
I may never pass this way again
That's why I want it with you
You make me feel like I'm more than a friend
Like I'm the journey and you're the journey's end
I may never pass this way again

Life
So they say
Is but a game and they'd let it slip away
Love
Like the autumn sun
Should be dying'
But it's only just begun
Like the twilight in the road up ahead
They don't see just where we're goin'
And all the secrets in the universe
Whisper in our ears
All the years will come and go
Take us up
Always up
We may never pass this way again

We may never pass this way again
Dreams....So they say
Are for fools and they let 'them drift away

Peace Like the silent dove
Should be flying'
But it's only just begun
Like Columbus in the olden days
We must gather all our courage
Sail our ships out on the open seas
Cast away our fears
And all the years will come and go
We may never pass this way again

'Your call matters to us thank you for holding'.

 Example of another system error.

Bloated council wasted moments and stupid response system.

Phoned up local authorities in East Riding. Waiting still wanted little piece of information. 'Your call matters to us thank you for holding'.

If that was true wouldn't be waiting for the period l was waiting.

'Your call matters to us thank you for holding'.

They give you a number, play you a piece of music, give you another number. Your short LIFE edds away. You've got this number and LIFE remaining on hold. Your encouraged to use the internet. Which freezes often and doesn't contain the information you seek.

Want you to understand not trying to get onto the councils first expedition for the  public into space. Not anything remotely connected.

'Your call matters to us thank you for holding'. When l got through the person couldn't provide any information."That's not my job"

She spent good while telling me her job is, only to take my message, along with the many who called in and send it by text to the officer needed to talk too.

Didn't someone invent answer phones for that reason.

'Your call matters to us thank you for holding'.

You understand multiple that by 1000s of calls each day the waste. But they do not care  We are not even a number to them. Live in a period where more and more you don't count. The _'waiting on line'_ One way of controlling people like you and me. We don't count.

Happy, content, slightly frustrated, tired, bored. That's my five.

This image bring back memories of so many pleasant days listening to music, having simple cup of tea sometimes alone, even smoking December Cigar as sat,... Happy.

Happy. think at my most happiest with these kinds of moments. not most sociable person becoming more intolerant as my health challenges me. Me and happy not most charismatic person, (friend got washing machine more charismatic then myself) . Just chilled and float through events. But reflective further not callous , Happy at times.

So happy describes me this moment,

Happy, content, slightly frustrated, tired, bored.

That's my five.

what are your five words to describe yourself today?

Allow myself that because like being grumpy. Also like being happy but don't think its my go to every day feeling. but then can you trust your feelings.

Here's to you my little loves with blessings from above
Now let the day begin
Here's to you my little loves with blessings from above
Now let the day begin

Here's to the beauty of the stars
Here's to the travelers on the open road
Here's to the dreamers in the bars
Here's to the teachers in the crowded rooms
Here's to the workers in the fields
Here's to the preachers of the sacred words
Here's to the drivers at the wheel

Ever since heard this especially at Christian arts festival Greenbelt, surrounded by others following Jesus. Have always thought of the song as a prayer, calling down blessings on all, felt blessed for having it there for me in my LIFE.

Friday getting ready for footie and some theology with mates.

Hull City skipper Lewie Coyle, local lad from barrow boys family, commented that it is vital hull players go into Saturday's vital showdown with Derby County believing they can secure clubs Championship survival. Victory over Derby County would ensure Hull City remain in the Championship after a season of  on field difficulties. Defeat could see them traveling to Portsmouth on the final day in the bottom three, staring relegation in the face. Something huge following along with the city could well do without.

Lord, give us grace to come to you; not merely as a member of a crowd, curious to see a show, but with a true desire to encounter you, to know your love, to find your peace, to be made whole, to enter into the new life of your kingdom. Meet us; draw us to yourself.

Deconstruction is trendy these days, and many who grew up in the church are finding it an appealing narrative. Growing up as an Urban inner city teenager kid in east riding , while attending (would l call it conservative Baptist church ?). Well think set young Kevin up for a strong faith. For many years, even till present do have a strong faith. Whole nomadic discussion concerns myself. Deconstruction not correct word.

Faithless is result of being concerned with own self, own spiritualty, own process, own growth, own views, own educational development.

Its about self, like culture we embrace especially heralded by the celebrity fame culture. its leapt into some university educated middle aged Church folks life style. Held them captive. These people must understand self-denial. But are concentrating on culture of the local society along with all that it offers.

We have allowed in many areas the society to tells us how to live forgetting the revolution called us to be different, to stand out becoming better.allow kingdom principles like justice mercy compassion, and grace to be Jesus guidelines we follow. Instead we chase self promotion wanting our spirituality to be making our own LIFE improved with all latest fads, beliefs systems, further political causes aligned with our purpose.

l feel spiritually aware of past .

The Little Ringed Plover is a small plover with a distinctive black and white head pattern, similar to the Ringed PloverThey mostly breed on beaches around the coast, Much like East Yorkshire coast l frequent most days. They have also now begun breeding inland in sand and gravel pits along former industrial sites.

Unsure what they are feeding on in such areas. Wonderful sight pretty common.

Not keen on the nasty predatory thief's called Heron gulls.
There is quite a few in this category.

The dunlin is a small sandpiper, which can be found at the coast all year round, preferring estuaries, where it seeks out insects, worms and molluscs to eat. In winter, it feeds in large flocks and roosts in nearby fields and saltmarshes.
Also may have been observing among the company some dunlins, its all quite excitable. This is the most common small wader found along the coast. It has a slightly down-curved bill and a distinctive black belly patch when in its breeding plumage.

You may know l picked up this interest when commuting with Matthew, my late son, its kind of my time with him where l try through tears share a moment. The dead are always with us they say, at the coast ghosts of previous visits glide into my mind. Another place where l feel spiritually aware of past and people of the past is in my favorite place Valetta in Malta.

Sea fret, cursed, being grumpy and expressing gratitude.

Just normal day in a seaside community.
Warm very warm to be precise.. Till Kevin arrived at the coast two miles in the weather becoming colder, Sea fret came along.
LIFE altered. Crabs have you seen the price of sea food.

Fun Rides Stopped,( they are like artificial arm on the promenade.) candy floss machines not turning, crowds gone home, promenade for 5 miles is very empty. Train drivers are on strike. Its Colder. I'm tired.

Flowers looked miserable. Favorite seaside hotel closed down.

Due to unfavorable economic conditions. Family run business for 150 years . Starmers Britain, Not anymore. In this part of  England. The poor getting poorer. Tough times miserable periods. Even the TV with it's 57 channels has got nothing on.

Sat, watched small multi coulered Plovers, the busy flighty Fulmars Observed tide with waves showing white. Said prayer of thanks.

Bought drink sat down to drink it …" We're closed now pet"....

Some days are just challenging.

EASTER WEEK END, WATCHED TO MUCH TV

WATCHED GREAT TV programme on Sky arts about the Jam wow did this take myself back. also had discussion with group about Youth and attitudes today.
This took me back to that time when Kevin W thought he knew everything, this goes on in a young mans head for a while. Then one day you wake up and you recognise
 ….You know so little.
The music and making the styles fit the client base.

As a tailor  working in `fashion house Todryks` making bespoke garments. While also finding a field into Youth work.

Lyrics along with U2 about moments and LIFE witnessing.

Events that were happening to those around myself.

Mods style was about "making the effort to look the part, and live LIFE."

Puts up the closed sign does the man in the corner shopServes his last then he says goodbye to himHe knows it is a hard lifeBut it's nice to be your own boss reallyWalks off home does the last customerHe is jealous of the man in the corner shopHe's sick of working at the factorySays it must be nice to be your own boss, really...

Go to church do the people from the areaAll shapes and classes sit and pray togetherFor here they are all oneFor God created all men equal

La-la-la-la-laLa-la-la-la-laLa-la-la-la-laLa-la-la-la-la
Cuddling a warm girl and smelling stale perfume
A hot summer's day and sticky black tarmac
Feeding ducks in the park and wishing you were far away
That's entertainment
That's entertainment
Two lovers kissing amongst the scream of midnight
Two lovers missing the tranquility of solitude
Getting a cab and travelling on buses
Reading the graffiti about slashed seat affairs
I say that's entertainment
That's entertainment

"Usually, we go in and try to amend tactics, but they weren't like that," the 22-year-old said of Selles' interval chat. "It was more like, 'Come on lads, let's go and give them a proper game' and we went out there, we started strong, we were making more runs, we were pressing harder and we got rewarded for it, so credit to the lads."
After losing in Swansea on Friday, Ruben Selles' men fired back with a big 2-1 win over the Lilywhites to take a big step towards safety, thanks to a brace of second half penalties from Joe Gelhardt.

Goodbye Papa Frankie.

The Vatican confirmed the pontiff died at 07:35 local time on Monday; he was recently discharged from hospital after weeks of treatment for an infection.

LIFE it ends. Always got impression he was honest guy committed to kingdom principles.

Inclusive inviting all to the table. Think pretty decent heritage to leave behind. My direct Church culture as Baptist we not led by Pope. But working vocational environments Papa Frankie was heralded. That's fine good Leadership doesn't fit on everyone's shoulders. Saw in Malta how vital important he was too many.

I danced on a Friday and the sky turned black;

It’s hard to dance with the devil on your back;

They buried my body and they thought I’d gone,

But I am the dance and I still go on.

They cut me down and I leapt up high,

I am the life that’ll never, never die;

I’ll live in you if you’ll live in me;

I am the Lord of the Dance, said he.

Apr 20, 2025

He brought the Captives free.

Theology tells us that Jesus ascended from Heaven brought the Captives back redeemed and free.

Takes lots of unpacking not all routed biblically. That's allowed not everything is in the Bible around understanding. Also not dismissing biblical truth.

Sense that Jesus was at War against the principalities in Satan's domain has elements of escapology. Cosmic to expand  upon the beliefs stories and discussions around what was happening as Jesus lay in the tomb. Which we know was empty.

The Dance will begin again soon and the Lord will lead the dance will all us in our ministry with him. All are to be invited to the table.

That's Good news. That's vital for these moments we are captured in at present.

That's a freedom we need in society and Globally. The message of Jesus and Easter story is vital for this present period

Love wins, so choose LIFE.

Apr 19, 2025

Now we know but then.....

Then.
They didn't know.
Then.
So they lived frightened and in fear. Every shadow every noise brought intense fear.
Then.
The hope had died and Death had won.
Jesus was Dead.

Then. One hung himself, one had betrayed Jesus, many had ran away.

Then.
They began to seek each other out, started gathering again. Words didn't make sense. Jobs to be done Lives to start up again. Practical things to be sorted.

We have forgotten about then. We don't reflect very much on then. Because it's often the 'here and now' we live in. Stopped reflecting partly perhaps because we know so much.

Or we believe we do. Others 'the then of the  Greatest story' has no relevance. Not of any interest. It's to be scoffed at, made fun of. Some now shouted slight abuse at the thousands who had gathered to recall the events of 'then'.

Then Some celebrated that the northern rebel rouser, witnessed his awkward teachings, ignorant statements and troublesome way had been defeated. They used lies and decite, sided with the enemy to bring about his killing by crucifixion.

Then acted , like it was finished.

Apr 18, 2025

Authentic real...

It's over, LIFE has died the Son cried out
It's is finished.

Real Life event approx 2025
Years ago for us so we can
Choose LIFE.

Apr 17, 2025

They betray him, hand him over, deny they knew him. Go into hiding, fear grips them and holds them.

I heard it clearly. “Slow down.” The words came from deep inside. Always hated the Summer, possibly because it was bomb building sites, little food, torn clothes, and fights with kids from other locality's. Holidays, we just get on our bikes away .Always reading Victor Canning, watching Elvis repeats movies, playing long toy soldier war games.  I had a few friends, loads of brothers and cousins nearby. we met up or see intermittently during Summer, but really it was being on my own that treasured.

Suppose `Aunty Margret`, God rest her soul, came to me as young child maybe 9 to explain Bible passages giving her trouble. but tried to explain stuff. When Uncle burry died, l told dad when he informed myself, "Already knew about issue". School was always asked to lead in what was divinity lessons. Then Uncle David died suddenly these and more deaths in a short time always without any commitment reached for the Bible, developing faith in most difficult periods.

Easter, Yes Easter was a special place. Special time, Special touch me in my heart place. Then heard it clearly. “Slow down.” The words came from deep outside of my understanding.

As l grew was often working voluntary putting on drama and shows getting into a ministry before knew had discovered one, had vocation sense of calling before understood what vocation was . Heard it clearly. “Slow down.” The words came from deep AROUND MYSELF.

2025 We need to slow down, breathe deep reflect relax think deeper into Easter events. This story tells us Jesus is tonight betrayed. Into his killers from established Church further the acting Government.

Friends who he had spent several summers with when perhaps he would rather be alone. They betray him, hand him over, deny they knew him. Go into hiding, fear grips them and holds them.

“Slow down.” The words coming to you from deep within. Slow down and reflect.

So let us pray use Bills word below.

Bill Braviner

Gather us, Lord,
as your disciples, that we may learn again your lesson that greatness lies not in power and position, but in giving and grace, not in serving ourselves, but in kneeling to wash feet, in following your commandment to love one another as you love us.

Holy week eviction.

Like many watch reality programmes like the present 'Celebrity big brother'.Real housewives of Orange county.
In failing relationships hear others talking about dishonesty, betrayal and self serving
Judas
Dishonesty around money and wanting Jesus to lead a revolution based on threats and violence
Peter.
Peters coming moments around fire in courtyard after arrest of Jesus
Disciples who departed. Now living in fear they ran, departed from what they had experienced, friendships broken damaged. Hope was due to depart.

The house used for Celebrities, housewives, like the market place in Jesus time. It became place where others openly talk about issues around dishonesty, friends are betrayed, in order to develop some serve themselves.
Thd kingdom offered by the Lord Jesus is a place where honesty about who you are, where you are going and what you believe is important. Call to serve others to Love others. To be loyal not to run from friends not principles. To forgive and offer grace.
Placed where relationships gather develop and grow together. Kingdom way.

SOME HEROS WEAR HEAD SCARVES.

January 1968, fourteen Hull fishing vessels have been lost whilst at sea. In five of these incidents all the crews were saved, the other nine involved a loss of 3 lives. The Hull public, although horror stricken in the past, have always treated these tragedies as part of the hazards of the fishing industry.
Hazards of the work.
Hazards of  vocation sense of calling.
Justice putting things too how they should be!
In Holy week explore passion where God comes alongside the most working class the most downtrodden.
Those left out are invited to the tables.
The Rich ruler in this holy week story is the Rich trawler owner. At war against head Scarf wearing wives of lowly fisherman.
The rulers of service exploited the workers putting lives at risk.
Fight is taking place.
Where the voiceless call out for justice. The prince of peace calls us to get involved
Decide this Holy week which cause are you campaigning around.

As Holy week progresses How are you reflecting upon justice ?

Apr 14, 2025

Here in holy week is potted history of Israel.

Israelis know they live surrounded by terrorists that live in Gaza, Lebanon, Yemen, Syria, all supported and funded by the terror regime of Iran. The surprising thing is that despite all this, people are still living their life, dancing, singing, and enjoying themselves. We are the most resilient people in the world.

Around 1400 BCE, a group identified as the Israelites entered the region later known as Israel. This was our first step here, a people staking a claim that’s ours by right. Around 1200 BCE, the Merneptah Stele, an Egyptian record, names “Israel” in Canaan—the oldest proof we were here, etched in stone. Around 1000 BCE, a figure named David established a kingdom in the region. He turned this into our heartland, a base that held strong. Around 957 BCE, a temple was constructed in Jerusalem. That First Temple wasn’t just a building—it was our soul, a center they couldn’t take.

In 70 CE, Jerusalem was destroyed by Roman forces. That fall hit hard, but we didn’t vanish. In 136 CE, the Roman Empire renamed the region Syria-Palestina and expelled much of the Jewish population. They kicked us out, renamed it to mock us, yet some stayed, a thread unbroken. In 614 CE, the Byzantine-Sassanid War saw Persian forces briefly ally with Jews to take Jerusalem. That alliance was a flicker of hope amid chaos.

From 1516 to 1918, the Ottoman Empire controlled the area for 402 years. That long rule was stagnation, not progress, under foreign hands. In 1882, the First Aliyah began, with Jewish immigration from Europe and Yemen to Ottoman Palestine. This was our return, a trickle building strength.

In 1937, the British Peel Commission proposed a partition plan, offering a Jewish state (20%—Haifa, Tel Aviv) and an Arab state (Negev, Judea, Samaria). We said yes, desperate for a home—Arabs said no, rejecting peace. In 1939, the British restricted Jewish immigration to Palestine. They slammed the door as Nazis hunted us, a betrayal that stings. The Jewish people, originating from this region, were displaced for 1,900 years across Europe and the Middle East before returning. That exile was brutal, but it fueled our comeback. In 1947, the United Nations proposed a partition plan (Resolution 181), estimating 1.2 million Arabs and 600,000 Jews in Palestine, with most of the Jewish portion as the Negev Desert. We said yes, offering citizenship to Arabs there—Arabs said no, launching war. In 1948, the British Mandate ended, and Israel declared independence.

The West’s silence, the Arab “no’s,” the rockets—they don’t wipe out 3,000 years of truth. Israel’s not a footnote;

SO WHY a potted history on Israel in holy week. because these events are alive , issues are Alive, Jesus and his followers' are alive in a bitter battle with the events happening. Death cults come along but we choose LIFE .Its awkward, difficult, joyous, LIFE affirming.

Its here struggle with teaching to love your enemies. Jesus is in the middle of this time span an Israelite, Jew, middle eastern man living under occupation acted like someone who loved his enemies. Brought back from death the child of one of the occupying forces generals.

Jarou's daughter brought to LIFE.

W e live in world where we don't discuss or chat about all this stuff of LIFE. But we must. Only then will the tough teachings, The tough actions.  The correct approach to religion, Christianity must try be evident and relevant.

Its not popcorn debate!

Its not Popcorn chewing!

LOVE is perplexing. Holy week meditations

Love is blindness ,I don't want to see

Won't you wrap the night around me?

Oh my love, Blindness.
U2

Perhaps my favorite group, if telling this to you because you grew up along side all those connection. The members,  each member approximately the same age l am. Mid sixties. Type, style of relationships engaged with.
Political journeys the Band members of U2 decide to share with those of us who Love the group U2. Commitment to ethical conduct around these issues. Spiritual awakening as they wrestling with same theology as our generation.
Awakening in a 'shout to follow'. Dumbfounded anger of wrestling with this God stuff.
Others they championed, some l knew personally.
Love is Blind, perplexing statement, because you see Love is blind, Love is confusing, Love can betray a person. Relationships end ,bitterness can become common Love disappears.
This of course is becoming a Sunday sermon. Hope is you'll see Love is not a movie popcorn feeling. Love is hard work
Sometimes Love in popcorn movie feeling ends and disappoints.
That's the bit about Love that's perplexing and Blinding.

We've entered holy week ahead for Jesus is perplexing, cruel, hate filled experience .Love that's perplexing, is part of holy week journey.
