 In relation to the Budget 2024, which appears at present first glance harsh. there are those who feel benefit recites have been left out

terms like "oh good more money for those who contribute nothing" - check the facts!

40% of UC claimants are the working poor others are carers, involved in most difficult of positions. They like myself have disabilities or illness, some who don't have work, would really like to remain or gain fruitful employment , they want it. A little more compassion,(In general).

But lets be honest less judgement wouldn't hurt in our dealings with those on any benefit.

There already is in essence tough rules around benefit in the UK first 5 weeks you seldom get any money, often leads to people getting into deeper poverty. Once in that place little help.

Constant draining battle to get out of the system.

This becomes a battle for years, may never get free from the `ropes of poverty`. sometimes wages back into employment are really low , further terms and conditions are unhelpful.

Often its true, some take voluntary positions where there is exploitation.

One of the bugger issues for those` caught in the poverty trap` is rents , home ownership not being an option. These Homes are controlled often by people who are already rich, taken Pot shots at the poverty trap.

The neighborhood has only poor quality resources, food Varity is limited , travel away is also difficult.

If caught in the poverty trap, that bill that's unexpected.

Becomes a bigger hole to escape from, then again another obstacle.

Increase in food, travel, rents, council taxes, will not help anyone. Result in those trapped in poverty, feel more isolated, detached, and less valued.

Labours female `chancellor Reeves`, will wreak massive harm on small businesses ,further by default ‘working people’ (who many Politian's, can’t even define) with one of the worst budgets of my lifetimes.

Today the vulnerable got left further behind.

Lies, name calling, confusion, wickedness hypocrisy.

Unsure if l am political but concerned about local issues further way impact others life's. Even go as far accepting the mental of socialist. But nothing.

There is utility in pursuing those things in which you are interested. Such as conversations about the weather, meeting on the Bus, like chasing down a record, meeting in town going around second hand shops looking for bargain DVD.

How do we in this difficult period regain hope? Going to suggest even promote these concepts, it is difficult to have hope without a vision. Maybe Vision not for some at the present.

Been reading a novel my 4th read completed in just 2 weeks.

this was another inspector Montalbano. the title was` Vest of Nipers`...

actually its not...its called `Nest of Vipers`. Don't know why but been getting the title confused.

Its a hard read for entertaining escapes that is Sicilian Detective  Montalbano.

Felt bit dirty, deeply sad about the portrayal,(even in non fiction book about non existent characters). The main person in authors description goes for deep swim to get clean.

Also caused myself to think about the issue of emotional Bondage. getting away from ropes around heart plus your mind. Bible passage came into focus connected with discussion in Church...Perhaps about `Paradise`,..Perhaps. Its just my mind.

Thought...One day l will fly away "..was about Elephant of inspiration, getting ambitions, not about struggle to escape another's control.

Love' its cold and it gone', sometimes too soon. Other times your in Love ...the other isn't.

So often come across this feeling,type of cognitive discourse, other can't move forward.

They don't,  If they did they wouldn't be making plans to make LIFE more difficult. The measurements they use won't bring in the vulnerable or those at bottom of the society .

So where will our prayers, actions, our words affect the situation. You and myself have got to get more missionary in service. It's US, it's WE, who have to take up the task.

Because simply not them  it's All up to us.

Its why we desire for the Kingdom to come about here on Earth, its why we have a `Gut feeling`, when something is wrong. Its why when we cant explain something our body cries out never the less for a sense of justice.

My narrative, what l write is NOT about being grammatically correct nor is it about depth. its just a ramble about how , Kevin, Northern sojourner travels as he, wrestles with, stumble though LIFE. Its not the most inspirational read of your day. But it may allow you to accept there are others like yourself. Getting through with just enough Drama. That's all my narrative really is, its authentic in that sense. perhaps you like myself internally discuss the `sociality issues`, before engaging with others in co-group discussion. Or as some do...connect on other platforms. Big hope in commenting most days, is that you reading this are emphatic about the `stuff` touch upon.

We appear to settle for defeat, also being second best in entertainment, political scene commerce and development, social services, gatherings economic well being.

its been claimed , I certainly agree that there is a spirit of apathy over the locality. This has been discussed , agreed and logically accepted by us Spiritual elders for 4 decades at least.

But even in my Autumn years suppose like you and others feel sometimes, that;- " I’m afraid of getting rejected. I’m afraid I’ll make a fool of myself ". 

LIFE means this is normal.

Hull city return to combative football this afternoon, against a team Sunderland, who like Newcastle been to see quite often in last few years, Of course that's to do with working that far up north for 12 years. 

So grew into a liking of both teams as  Local client base where dedicated to these teams.

My home town team , Tigers return to Championship action on Sunday afternoon against the Black Cats. Love a Win, LIFE has these exciting moments. Yet, Football, music, people, gatherings, well simply they often go unspoken and remain unrecognised. 

We forget how precious such NON events are to LIFE. As we experience the journey. Travel well.

Journeys news.

Well it looking like l will be going to another place soon. Although journeys are exciting, the need to be planned especially when thinking of the journey as health check along with a sabbatical. Booked tickets, awaiting exact details already speaking to friends about meeting up. Miss some people but wont miss the place that depart from, until l return.

City play three games this month and three games in early November starting with the visits of Sunderland and Burnley on Sunday and Wednesday, respectively, before a trio of clashes against the newly-promoted teams - Derby County - Portsmouth - Oxford United and rounded off with West Brom's trip to the MKM Stadium.

THE HEART AND YOU.

If you have a heart condition, like myself then doing some activity can be safer and better for your health than doing nothing. Suppose the `gypsie in myself`, means can`t stay in one place for long. Most days get out and about.

Reduced schedule till next year, 2025. Not doing any paid employment. Been unable to return to try, Skipping, shadow boxing or Bag work, nor have l returned to what might call` vigorous exercise`, That`s like activities where you’re breathing hard and fast. But do something long walks on flat service. small hills. Long periods with plenty rest at benches.

Emotionally remember the heart holds different images and feelings then the mind. Which means...you can be affected by a broken heart. Be yourself also. 

Same spiritual vein, pray, listen to others, be kind, explore the issues, reflect, read the sermon on the mount. Explore the meaning of the TV one observes. Small acts of kindness, conversations, reflecting. 

THE JOURNEY IS LONG , BUT CAN PASS INCREDIBLY QUICKLY. TAKE CARE OF YOUR BEING AS YOU LOOK AFTER OTHERS.

Also you hear this from own mind, Heart may tell rest of your body this story. Images you witness. Chaos traumatic experiences. LIFE in general. You alone know what identification can use, what measurement you can choose for Chaos plus trauma. But LIFE is tough.

The road least travelled, remains a place ,' Where LIFE is still tough. Harder for others whose place of safety, whose tribes, gender, coulers , economic impact, are not like mine or yours. Then look around, guess Kevin he is here, not been good Year still the person that authorized these words, simple old man from North. He is here. Lost employment in my life. Economic wellbeing fluctuate throughout, Love disappeared did not return. Friends moved away, others came into my LIFE.

 

The weather brought new season's, when it was cold it became warmer. Tide further time changed again. I am here …where overhead Geese flew in formation and migrated away. You and suppose myself....We are here.

That DVD you picked up in the shop today couldn't decide to buy or not. Thought yesterday that tomorrow you'd stop prostrating. 

Well this day someone went in to obtain same copy old film you desired. Today, which was tomorrow, yesterday. Anyway in last few hours, this day,  someone decided that they would purchase this DVD. Sadly while you went home yesterday to come in today and purchase it.

Another Sunday sermon from "Spiritdelarue".

 “Trigger warnings for Christian themes in literature are demeaning to the Christian faith and stifle the academic progress of our students. To censor expressions of the Christian faith is to erase our literary heritage. True education engages and fosters understanding, not avoidance"!

NO COUNTRY can be a Christian country..you can be influenced by it's traditions,values,policy. But a COUNTRY can't practice following Jesus. Only individuals can make that choice.

Make this argument often, the response to follow Jesus is based on individuals acceptance. Not a community response it's me or you deciding that walk is now your journey.

We gather in community as followers of Jesus, many call this Church. Try to influence society. But society nor country can claim to be Christian without each individuals making own decision.

It cannot be a collective it's your door that gets knocked upon. You open the door or refuse.

Asking you how are you Co Growing today?

 THERE A RECENT EXPRESSION WHICH IS BEING USED . .  . .Co growing.

Myself been thinking really its about good networking practices, especially in rural coastal Faith communities. Certain it's like the 25+ age range discovered something few have ever experienced. Accept its not that at all.

Networking, plus including, working together, is essential (however again co growing) perhaps the activity got lost as groups became bigger, programmes got invested in, successful practice was measured by those attending,  forgot to take account of the process of holistic development.

Development of groups and leaders takes time, vocation about `sense of being called along with individual seeking accreditation .

Variety with loud big events is vital, but not at the expense of being together as groups engaged in wider community more often.

Anyway its been done before, however perhaps after C19, lack of social cohesion we found still needs to be achieved at present.

Asking you how are you Co Growing today? 

No its not got that ring about it has it, Whose supporting you in your efforts to understand happenings ?

You see ask these questions, but for the most part get very few direct answers.

Sometimes Co Growing exist in world where YOU have to find YOUR own support.

Taking time to listen to each other, engaging with silence, sharing food, trying new ideas, being with those not normally invited to the table.  Its all Co Growing.

Healthy individuals grow in the above settings, where communities gather often talking, sharing, listening. Society is affected. that's not a little thing but grand process that is costly, needs fresh ideas, expressions, not always valued by whole . But its essential, beautiful missionary.

LIFE is not a cartoon you laugh at and switch off from.

 The Talmud, Jewish Torra, which form part of our old testament. tells a story of a rabbi who wanted to repent, he puts his head between his knees and bursts into tears. He cries until he dies. With his tears, he finally achieved teshuva. 

So you are here, then perhaps many includes myself wondering `how to go on`. It is tempting to cut off the feelings, or cut off the process of great grief, to simply not engage. Some chosen this path. Indeed felt like taking that road for a while. 

This guy cried recently thinking about own personal family loss of Matthew. Aggravated by events of October the 7th. Along with retiring and Authority adding difficulties. 

Does this feel emotionally same for you? All appears to too much.

Its much more challenging then that.

At present, life must feel like a huge struggle. Which is the place where we are staying. One day it will get better need improvement for better to be in place.

Unconcerned and unable to face a world looking away from righteous behaviour. Unconcerned about neighbour. Only able to function on Tix Tox, Myspace, Facebook etc. ..  .

World looking away from gathering to talk about large, deep concerns. Frightened to face the fear, unable to grasp  even seek "where might there be hope?".

St. Ephren wrote approximately 1,000 poems. Like someone here writes in unorthodox style, his works are difficult to translate because of their complex structures, images, wordplays, and parallels. But really worth some persistence, effort.  But Poetry lot to do with own interpretation view, plus reflection.

Looking for Hope in A hopeless world.

Oh by the way health wise, its been awful today worse days health wise of the year.

On this day can there is still absence of Hope?

 

Today marks one year since Hamas’ October 7 attack on Israel, in which about 1,200 people were killed, mostly while they Danced and held a festival around issues of Love and peace. for the last 365 days all of us world wide witness activities, lead by Israel to retaliate, seek revenge, establish another the war in Gaza. Nearly 42,000 Palestinians have been killed in the conflict. this neighbour hood dispute almost a pattern for how not to live . But not just in the modern world its centuries old conflict. I am no expert but see no hope of a brand new tomorrow. Were told espically in Old testament that God is a creator who wants peace between those not invited to the table along with all outsiders. Wether they wish to be part of happenings, or belong to the gathering. But when only the dark Has come to night Tell me who's to blame And what's his name You can point your finger But you gotta remember What was done Was done by a man So we gotta tell 'em

Let's indulgence each other.

Perhaps it's my age, or part of the process of grieving, could simple be the time of year. But today well indeed this whole weekend. Feeling little less like coming up with deep meaningful words to help us grow. Seeking little bit of being comfortable.

It's new trend join myself. Fish chips on warm promenade walk. Observed the geese flying in a team work kind of of way. Witnessed several deer at edge of the forest trail. 'Frightened', by size of rat scurried across street at 05-11 this morning.

Seen so many small birds in our locality at present. Include redshanks, pippins, thrush various sorts. The pest that steal chips Seagulls have disappeared to the fields giving a degree of freedom to the smaller birds some arriving others departing our coast.
One advantage of living near where the sea arrives upon our land front.
Missing chat with Matthew my son who could name  also intimate the bird song of these visitors. Nature changing, The Autumn season arrived brought darkness, winds, wet, summer peeped into the scene also. Adding chill factor along with visible change in what you see around oneself.

It gets me angry to witness this mound of Mud that just sat at mouth of local River Hull since l was a child. Its ugly. Can only imagine if the council cleared and removed the silt, Put in plant filters, etc. Like Tees and Tyne authorities, it would be a sight so beautiful different, clear, look stunning and again beautiful.

Lets begin this end of week further, week end with…`Call to right relationships with others` .

For the Jewish People. Going into the New Year,(Judaism celebrating new year ), those close spiritual remember also reflect on those losses still so hard to witness fully. From neighbours ongoing terrors, Can faith of Jewish tribe still celebrate are still here living Jewish lives in myriad ways these people have found to express own culture while venture into contribute to this broken damaged world. Judaism as people well-versed in living among tragedy and triumph. Yesterday listening to someone who said few very few happy endings in world Of Jesus, nor world we experience.

Ivor Pandur ... different view.

 Sometimes you have to change view on another person. They change plus improve in your sight. You get them.

Life changes you witness situation differently. Understand event or style more new way. Not previous tension.

Values held in past about way footie played not so important. Performance gets better. We changed in way viewed Ivor, our home team football goalkeeper. Wears lot of pink. Seen him play, appeared always better out of position made me nervous.

Ivor Grown into comfortable stopper. Team improved, results are back to winning ways. Feels Like everything better.

Maybe some could transfer this to a peace process in middle east.

Hatred could be exchanged for ' Loving God, loving your neighbour.

Grow into new ......'What the Hell they ain't gonna change in middle east'.

Ain't gonna adopt pink either.

 

Shelter from October first storm

Got through the storm winds,rain,trees down promenade deserted. Evidence of ugly but or so very beautiful nature.

Nature clashing in itself. We need storms like ones handed too you plus myself in LIFE.

Need to find shelter also.

LIFE is tough,it's hard, but also beautiful.

Come in take some shelter from the storm Real ,present, or imagined.

The fleet sheltered in port, safer as the storm still reaches land. Further floods, chilly ,cold, very wet.

We took shelter in Spa, watching old western. Gathered, chatted, laughed at the big screen. Where 'Sundance Kid and Butch, 2 Cowboys had adventure.
