Followed by more of the same from that awful period in 1989.
On 15 April 1989, FA Cup semi-final, Liverpool supporters gathered on the terraces of Sheffield Wednesday's FC Hillsborough Stadium. Place l knew Worked there before Liverpool, briefly.
The crowding, because of Police negligence turned into a crush, Sadly 96 people died, with hundreds more being injured.
As part of counselling services offered by the Faith community, tonnes of Hidden, mental health, emotional disturbance, grief, was recorded
Short time after events l was appointed the 'Anfield Parish Youth worker'.Such beautiful period in my vocation.
Funny, beautiful, human people, places l walked ,where Youth work took part.
But often a sense that we had become 'forgotten people'.
Same behaviour , appeared again at Football match last Saturday.
Result of the football, that is none event.
repeat behaviour, treating people with disregard.
Took the income they generate.
belittled them when they had the power
repeated again when got the opportunity
Did not change, caged them in, and forget about fans. Treatment like previous, hostile, harsh, oppressive.
How Liverpool fans may have felt, ignored.
Miss you Liverpool, all you brought me, in 'my heart you remain'.
Beautiful human people, funny, comics, resilient rebels, who learnt so much from.
MEANWHILE in France...what we can conclude is, that two senior French government ministers sought to blame Liverpool FC supporters. For the mental and physical harm done unto them, using figures and statistics which are simply untrue.
The key question, therefore, is why these patently incorrect figures have been released publicly? There are three possibilities, and only Darmanin and Oudéa-Castéra will know which is correct. Either they are very badly misinformed, they are incompetent and unfit to do their jobs, or they are not telling the truth.
