Winter thoughts

Recently stopped on harbour walls, and just watched Cormorant dive, surface, dive again.

Odd seal looked up and appears to stare at us.

When they swim up river first time looked like huge dog swam past, slips down mud as it comes to the shore.

Saw plenty of Buzzards looking for something to eat, honey coulered chest against field brown feathers of flight.

Winter coulers of leaves lying around.

Damp

wet

Chilly

I imagine in my eyes mind that l am heading for sunny islands in Mediterranean

But l am not, here where it`s cold in my bed at night, and the heating is costly.

Getting old, feel frail, surprised how quick time past, memories music films and conversation too often are rooted in them past days.

This pandemic made us fearful, do not have anything to measure these present moments alongside.

But this l do know...Life and here.

Well l am just passing through.

psalm 37,V 10  . . . A little while, and the wicked will be no more; though you look for them, they will not be found.

Sometimes odd text from old scripture worth examining further.

Going places...

Some people just don't        know how to be Kind.         Age doesn't season them,       time does not mellow Them.  Try ...

MAYBE WE WON`T MEET AGAIN

. . . she got a postcard in the mail
That just said Heaven, with a picture of the ocean and the beach
The simple words he wrote her
Said he loved her
How he'd hold her if his arms would reach
Wish you were here, wish you could see this place
Wish you were near,Wish I could touch your face
The weather's nice, it's paradise
It's summertime all year and there's some folks we know
They say, "Hello, "
I miss you so, wish you were here"
