SHEEP ARE OUT AGAIN

There is a man over there,
does anyone care?
WHEN I SEE A SHEEP I SEE A FLOCK
WHEN I SEE A SHEEP I SEE A FLOCK

Apr 25, 2012

What about? just asking!

The politics of the day are strange and bear no resemblance to the life I lead,
Nor the journey l am taking.
what about the poverty?
what about the wasted life's?
what about the under resourcing of community?
what about the challenges the young are facing?
what about unemployment?

The weather is like the politicise, there is an issue in the south about drought and hosepipe ban.        The Olympics are large in the planning and party plans on the South  not so here!

Something about the north is grey and visible not just in the old buildings but also the views we hold
detached and northern
                                  ME? YOU?

housemartins lights are always green

We dig our models with the brains the size of models
And cars that we can trust with out wives
And we dig converstations with girls from every nation
But not the ones that whisper or tell lies
Wherever there's a will there's a motorway
Wherever there is greed there is speed
And they've always got to be there for yesterday
Welcome to the new Scalextrix breed

And the light they always show to them Is green, green, green And the heels they always show to me Are clean, clean, clean

http://www.vagalume.com.br/the-housemartins/the-light-is-always-green.html#ixzz1sxFUgvEs

from what l am reading and hearing the divide between the north and the rest is getting wider
the style/lyrics/politics of the group housemartin and the later beautiful south are still very relevant
what changed l feel
is the value of sounding out about the issue

good idea
lets RUIN the olympics

Black dog, the blues, down in the dumps, the vapours – whatever you call it, it’s a rare human who doesn’t feel low from time to time. But occasional sad days are a million miles from true depression.

WALKING TALKING SHARING

I had a long walk across the cliff face yesterday and connected with several of the youthie who expressed sadness about recent closure in their life's of our provision.
This is the first time l have not moved away when a position has closed,
l am not really in a role with any of them but more a `person in the village`.
It was good that they reminisced about climbing hills, further life coaching issues.
This is very different for myself . . . . . . . .l feel uncomfortable.

On Friday evening came across this new born calf, well I have told you before we are very rural,
l felt at one time in my life that too live near the sea and in the country would be an ideal. Guess what l have changed my view.
The winters here are very long and my home still feels very cold and there is a feeling of being an outsider even though l have been here for around 5 years

who knows where the time goes
tide and time constant reminders to myself and you perhaps of Gods hand on things

A WEE

One of very few things l learn't this week, a gentleman gets out of the bath for a wee.

one of my favorite views in the whole wide world

one of my favorite views in the whole wide world

you tell me where it is?

one of my favorite views in the whole wide world

one of my favorite views in the whole wide world
amazing 3 hours away  via plane
when  l was growing u as a child a plane in the sky was a rare site
and the thought of travel so far away never entered my mind
if we was playing soccer in the street everyone would stop and stare at the site in the sky
of course l have grown and the world along with how l see the place has changed.

same anger

Wonder how angry God gets when the Church youth project closes
and 250 contacts a month are lost and loads of really good quality youth work can no longer flourish
I get sad and angry and the cost ...not very much.

shallow Kev

They tell you what you should be

They don't like to see you grow

They are starting to examine the 70`s and perhaps rethinking
What we were trying to achieve and challenge about the world around us
l might come across as bit shallow  but l was into  DEBORAH  H and
GILL C listening to music, riding my bike meeting mates and starting to DJ in my first
clubs.
Church and Boxing was just becoming important also
I was shallow wasn`t I?

They tell you what you should be

They don't like to see you grow

Why don't you ask them what they expect from you ?

I don't need no politicians to tell me things I shouldn't be
Neither no opticians to tell me what I oughta see
No-one tells you nothing even when you know they know
They tell you what you should be
They don't like to see you grow

Why don't you ask them what they expect from you ?
Why don't you tell them what you're gonna do
You get so lonely, maybe it's better that way
It ain't you only, you got something to say
Do anything you wanna do
Do anything you wanna do

I'm gonna break out of the city
Leave the people here behind
Searching for adventure
It's the kind of life to find
Tired of doing day jobs
With no thanks for what I do
I know I must be someone
Now I'm gonna find out who

Why don't you ask them what they expect from you ?
Why don't you tell them what you're gonna do
You get so lonely, maybe it's better that way
It'ain't you only, you got something to say
Do anything you wanna do
Do anything you wanna do
Do anything you wanna do

I don't need no politicians to tell me things I shouldn't be
Neither no opticians to tell me what I oughta see
No-one tells you nothing even when you know they know

They tell you what you should be

They don't like to see you grow
Why don't you ask them what they expect from you ?

Why don't you tell them what you're gonna do
Why don't you ask them what they expect from you ?

Why don't you tell them what you're gonna do

more worklessness

This is the entire Scarboror fishing fleet they cannot fish all of the time and most ships have 2 or 3 hands fishing out to the 70 mile range.some fish arrives in port frozen packed and ready to be shipped by lorry to restaurants around the north. The rest of the catch goes local for shops and cafes.
We do not have up North the industry we used to have.
Does this mean we are worklessnes
Perhaps what we need is yet another War to clear out all the Worklessness into trenches and battlefields across Europe

This is a picture of one of the Royal ships that saved a  nation as it sped to Dunkirk, now it takes holiday makers out for 15 minutes. It a flat bottomed boat and l went on it for such a trip 2 years ago....l felt green and cannot imagine how those crestfallen soldiers would have felt coming back across the water to Dover in 1943?

chiily april 15th 2012

wild wet chilly like winter freezing cold but beatiful
                      to look at Scarboro bay
nice brisk walks from north bay 2 south bay

funkie undies funky underpants

Are these not the funkiest underpants ever worn by man?

..l expect their a few people would walk around town in these ..

Except it a diagram of how blood flows around your heart and goes all over the place..it is so intrinsic and delicate.
But also strong and essential.
.
l have got a health issue which has been going on for a while now and this diagram was used to explain my enlarged heart issue...

Still looks like funkier undies to me..
is it just me...?

my first love...aqua Maria

this is a Scorpian fish caught off the peir by a fisherman who was stung by it..l was chufffed chatting and watching the bloke fish..
it reminded me of Troy Tempest and those evil fish in Aqua Maria..l was in love with her  . .
l was 7 at the time..l didn`t know she was a puppet all l knew is that she was IT4ME.

l know there a few Lady`s disapponited to know it was Aqua Maria and not you who was my first love..but truth is she had my heart at a young age...all together now..Maria aqua maria.....

BITG 2012

worklessness

Doing my bit to promote the cult of worklessness sat in my mucky undies scratching my nuts and cheering a chav on Jeremy kyle show....few more minutes then l can switch over and watch the repeat on ITV 2...

Actually l am not
but this is the image they promote of the unemployed
many are being hassled into low paid work
out and about on courses
doing what l am now trying the job positions on the Internet
or worrying and being concerned.....the true image  . ..

oh yes U are

oh yes U are

a titanic problem

100 years ago the Titanic sailed and sank one of the issues being addressed by the Northern Journal and its Editor was the issue of child exploitation and trafficking.
Why l know is it 100 years since the editor lost his life on the Titanic and the article was what he had last worked on.
the issue still a big problem today April 10th 2012

on Good Friday went to snowy cold wet Whitby...only last Easter l was in  sunny Malta where Easter is celebrated with costumes an holiday huge crowds and sense of the specialness of Easter
..I missed that this year..

Apr 7, 2012

bad friday

When did the event know as good Friday and the reason become irrelevant
l have been away last few Easter breaks and it was such a moving and deeply spiritual experience in Malta
it become a shock to see how unimportant it feels

l watched Mel gibbons 'Passion' last evening,
it centred me.

old skin and new wine

snow, snow, cold ,cold, go away visit us on a December day.
Bit childish but that's how l feel it is still so cold
In this day and age we are still increasing
child abuse
childhood poverty
old people are dying due to cold
those who have little has increased

I started in youth work in 1985 as a paid professional under the old CDP (community development programme), I was so inexperienced unskilled, little knowledge or understanding
as the eldest of 9 Children l had so much to learn and discover about this position
But l never expected to be facing the same issues around poverty, alcoholic misuse, Children's and youth services so under resourced.
Like a bookend settled on an old shelf these issues never appear to go away.

Apr 4, 2012

never got to sing

l have never sang "l did it my way",
But l have tried to do it the
LORDS way.

2 SEASONS IN 12 HOURS

The weather gone a bit mad from 24 degrees to 0.3 in only 12 hours
from views and dreams of summer to slush and drinks by the fire.

worklessness don`t believe it!

sometimes I like to have the old food stuff like `mash and bangers`, it also popular on site at places like Green belt
l see tripe back on the menu..something we used to have a lot as kidz was tripe and milk with onions and mashed potatoes......YUK

(DON'T LET ME MUM KNOW I SAID THIS)

Of course work is on the agenda for myself and many others.
worklessness a word l have only seen used in the (AAP) area action plan..a curse on those that use such words to describe others who are vulnerable, powerlessness, often ignored, labelled, and mean`t to feel useless because they have no status.
I follow a leader called Jesus who taught us that the `price tags` of society have been switched.
He wants me and others to value ,love, and affirm our neighbours.
The use of such words like `worklessness` IS a sign that we care less and the Church and Christians have to be cautious about lining themselves along side agencies and individuals who use such words

MAYBE WE WON`T MEET AGAIN

. . . she got a postcard in the mail
That just said Heaven, with a picture of the ocean and the beach
The simple words he wrote her
Said he loved her
How he'd hold her if his arms would reach
Wish you were here, wish you could see this place
Wish you were near,Wish I could touch your face
The weather's nice, it's paradise
It's summertime all year and there's some folks we know
They say, "Hello, "
I miss you so, wish you were here"
