My heart sinks, blood boils, feel saddened weep internally lament prayers feel wasted, completely unable to fathom our inhumanity to each other...
Detail from the new UK parliamentary report on the barbarism of 7 October. 7 October’s clearest echo, among thousands of clear echoes, of the Nazi atrocities of the last century. This report leaves no doubt: 7 October was more than terrorism, more than a war crime – it was a savage rupturing of human civilisation itself.
A total of 863 civilians were killed on 7 October, accounting for 73% of the dead. The remaining 27% of fatalities were those serving in active duty – either in the military or as first responders. Women and children account for 27% of those killed during the attacks and 49% of hostages taken alive – 316 and 102 respectively. The youngest victim of 7 October was just 14 hours old.
Walking in nature is not about escapism sometime just need to be away from all that happening so can focus on what should be. Then maybe return wanting to be different, better, had escape from all awfulness to regain focus on what we, what l should be emerging into.
So l repeat-
Return wanting to be different, better, had escape from all awfulness to regain focus
