Awful named, but better than Unchurched.

 Simply odd...but not sure who was asked nor consultation model used. As 45 years experience in YCW  never been consulted nor invited, like many. There is your system error.

Churches will never be reformed , Awful named, but better than Unchurched. ‘working class’ communities will never be reached whilst middle class, self named professional values dominate the Leaders of faith based culture. 

Of course l am ,Talking about those who claim to follow Jesus.
One reason is simply the fact that middle class and professional cultures will rarely address the Problem, evident in Faith community.

The culture of owning books, not reading but Coffee table ownership, many that are simply too expensive to be housed by non academics. This is real issue. However academies is well loved by Deconstructionist, despite all there inclusive values, being White, educated to own levels able to afford £205 + for a book is one concession they make to excluding others.

It has been my Experience, if you live, read, practice in Academics Ivory tower, of use only to those in that industry.

NT Wright, Pete Ward, Steve Chalke all fit the grouping.

Directly identifying this issues  often be regarded as “ blunt, Working class approaches also very confrontational”. 
This is one of the reasons why the church can be blind to its own ironies , behaviour, think tanks, also why unbelievers look on incredulously. 

Perhaps if the church had the courage to evict the Academics, there would be more space for the ‘working classes’.

More resources, more housing all havable.
