cheapening the Gospel . . .

"There must be some kinda way out of here"
Said the joker to the thief
"There's too much confusion
I can't get no relief"

In  Isaiah 21, the poetry used by Dylan, who lets be canny here,is a thief,(In the nicest sense). Here the song echos the captivity of the Israelites, which prompted this passage of scripture. "There must be some kind of way out of here [Babylon]"
Some also aline this with the words of the thief on the cross alongside Jesus at his crucxifion.

As far as it is possible to get from Christianity whilst still claiming to be a Christian.
This following example, has been a too familiar experience among the
(? Christian?)men in local rural community been placed. Was explaining CAF procedure, Pointed out that on river walk around Durham, father figure rang me, asking who his `daughter` (S),was in conversation with...the older girls sister pointed out the guy was not here real Father, had only knew their Mum ,3 years.
Stated it was difficult to respond to his request.
Nevertheless all group were one and sharing the occasion with appropriate numerical adult support.
Later he ran again.
Further pointed out all was well and further it was more Mothers concern, he declined my offer that he could talk to (D) the elder daughter. All were over 16 in age range.
Few days later it came to my notice, that the same person had threatened physically one of our young men who was `walking home from school with same young girl`.
Putting his hands upon the young lad (Shawn,16) threatening him.
Both these issues brought me into situation where l began what we call `common assessment framework` audit.
At this point Mr John M, intervened into the conversation for second time,
“Its people like you who are to blame for the way this society is at present”…
“That kid was probably lying …kids always doing that”….
His red faced, spitting feathers image was interesting.
Not the first time bad tempered, John raised heckles, did it at Gospel concert. Pulling out leads when he could not find plug for his guitar lead, bad mouthing others also got track record of threatening upsetting volunteers, often women. There been five episodes .BUT here the rub, hence why no one will challenge him. He a Christian, so pastorally no one will challenge him. Personally witness something much deeper.
This is a pattern of behavior, rudeness, anger, self-righteous ,use of offensive words style of action that go unchallenged,
From `hate preacher of city gate `.
`Fearful of hell` apostate, along with `Male of Christian species`, from this community.
When they made a commitment in faith.
Not repented, they did not turn around from previous behavior.
attitude, lifestyle not changed.Just use Jesus as mouth piece.
Actually CAF on the person highlighted along with family moving 23 times in 4 years, brought abuse case to court and the girls (Victims) supported through awful ordeal.
Back to male behavior and attitude.By not challenging ethically this issue, we really short change the Gospel, make it shallow and not worth taking seriously.
Keep you posted if find anyone’s listening.

Now l am not saying...no one knowing myself would say this either.  .  .  .
DIY is not my strong point !
ADD to that my taste,
FURTHER my size and you see it all a bit beyond me.
But look at the evidence presented,
not done a bad job of wallpapering decorating my kitchen, and front room.
ln my flat on a `coastal seaside` place where l adorned.

MAYBE WE WON`T MEET AGAIN

. . . she got a postcard in the mail
That just said Heaven, with a picture of the ocean and the beach
The simple words he wrote her
Said he loved her
How he'd hold her if his arms would reach
Wish you were here, wish you could see this place
Wish you were near,Wish I could touch your face
The weather's nice, it's paradise
It's summertime all year and there's some folks we know
They say, "Hello, "
I miss you so, wish you were here"
