listening too....

Robert Plant: Lullaby and… the Ceaseless Roar

Been very surprised by this album, have to recognise that not great at listening to albums
struggled with release from October 2007 entitled` Raising Sand`,  album with bluegrass artist Alison Krauss ,whose other Album really understood, ` Raising Sand`, went onto earn five Grammy awards.
Others in my group friends do not have the mix l have, but like to warm to albums where roots and so called `blue grass` are the main focus.
But this Album gripped me from first time played this. Pretty warm and not loud, the playing is delicate in sense does not intrude into you. Lyrics are about relationships less about the land.
Made me listen.

MAYBE WE WON`T MEET AGAIN

. . . she got a postcard in the mail
That just said Heaven, with a picture of the ocean and the beach
The simple words he wrote her
Said he loved her
How he'd hold her if his arms would reach
Wish you were here, wish you could see this place
Wish you were near,Wish I could touch your face
The weather's nice, it's paradise
It's summertime all year and there's some folks we know
They say, "Hello, "
I miss you so, wish you were here"
