No music playing . . . . TV off . . . . . walking coast . . . .Me at present

who remembers when all you had to worry about where the enemies of Batman

whether or not he had the right tools
in his Batman utility belt

was life ever that simple

white space my dairy phone not ringing no music playing TV off walking coast wetting my feet a shore pool cup of tea MY LIFE TODAY

Does anyone want try this life?
l jest slightly..... actually beginning to wish
there was more going on

but appear stuck . . . . .`the Long Now` . . .

THE NEW SEASON OF FOOTBALL BEGINS AND IT WILL BE A LONG SIGH FOR MANY MALES ESPECIALLY Saturday AT 3 O CLOCK

IN THE Bible IT STATES THIS

Love doesn’t get a swelled head over straight As or a scholarship to Princeton.

Love isn’t snooty about a new Corvette or a season pass to the world’s premiere ski resort.

Love never jeers at the fat kid who hangs out of his/her T-shirt in PE.

Love smiles when getting cut off on the interstate.

Love submits an honest tax return.

Love doesn’t whine about the referee’s bad call.

Love believes that God always provides the best stuff in life.

Love hangs on to hope when the family is splitting apart.

Love does not change like hemlines and hairdos.

Love is like the Energizer bunny. It lasts and lasts and keeps on going.

In the end only three things will remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.

TERNS ATTECKED...WHY?

Been fortunate to share in my sons hobby of twitching ....watching bird life
There is so much couler in wild life its free
all around us
Health Plus own well being improved as you encounter the out and about with many wonderful walks
Sometime the other side of human nature is exposed witness the cruelty shown to vulnerable birds like the `Terns`
Hard to believe that man kind local to us attacked these birds when nesting at Crimdon

short prayer

Limited quality of life expectancy
heard this new expression to myself
today used by lady whose daughter was born with only `short life expectation`
as we sit and ponder just need to thank God for all you already experienced sometimes prayer that simple
not great big words and full of meanings
it can simply be here and now
`l am grateful,`

My tomatoes are made in a red image beautiful . . .

We’re made in the image

The Message expresses,

The Good News attests

That we’re formed out of sod,

That we’re made every one,

Every daughter and son,

Every wandering one,

All the faithful and funny,

The thin and the brawny,

The fearful, the hopeful,

The cloudy, the sunny,

The sinning, the grieving,

The brave and the stumbling—

We’re made in the image of God.

Health care not fair don’t care too bare

Leaving out the poor

The children and the elders

Like mountainous boulders

Come crashing and crushing

how much does Jeremy vine get paid

I know its been week since saw that Jeremy Vine gets over £3500 for his show but should he still lecturing us poverty and vulnerable issues

while many struggle some using food banks
got to wonder about injustice of the wages paid to the likes of Vine he is particle at blame spending so much time telling others about his daughters love of attending concerts like Talyor Swift etc.. he gets the average yearly wage in one month plus add on`s and more

it`s unjust

What distinguishes the Church from other agencies and providers

I
What marks myself out as different ......
From others around myself?
One time l was working abroad in another country
came across these four church's at an actual road crossroads
They were all built facing each other
If they could talk what would they have said to each other?
As the congregations met at different times
With different collections and people
praying
listening
sharing
talking from same book

Was there ever a need for Church today be so diverse .  .  . Some feel wrongly that `St Paul`s vision of Church is huge that it is reflected in all diversity represented by each denomination,
But l do not
this list that grows
There should be more that unities then divides
Is that portrayed?
Unsure that so many coulers faith and credos evident is positive for the message of ---
LOVE God
LOVE one another
Follow Jesus

pretty gutted to see this every day players leaving Hull City FC

FOOTBALL ISSUES AT HULL CITY .HARTLEPOOL DISUNITED

My home town football club Hull City look to be in absolute and total disarray,as they prepare to face Bristol Rovers this evening.(friendly in Portugal where some family friends travelled to watch)
Although departures were inevitable in the wake of relegation from Premier League, a constant stream of players moving suggest and indicates wider epidemic.
Experienced figures no longer want to stay at the club. That much is as clear as the Algarve evening sunshine, Agents have been instructed to engineer moves away from Hull, most are getting their way. Few would be surprised to see Sam Clucas, Kamil Grosicki and Abel Hernandez join the exodus in due course.
Hull City, at present, no longer resemble anything like football choice.
earlier today l visited Hartlepool wanting to watch a friendly this evening but at £10 and £1.50p admin charge guess what l stay away as will many.

When some make the same choice with their feet and finical pockets perhaps in near future Football at Hull City and Hartlepool will become community organised again
Oh l hear you say it not like that anymore
yeah l say BUT it needs to be, after all its supposed to be entertainment, fun, a laugh break away from  real life, even some lessons passed on for life other dramas.

Faith journey and more ramblings.

As you journey in Faith we often talk about a time when we moved
or where converted ...but where we faithless before such conversion

So In a faith journey
What are you tethered along
What ripples will happen
journeying alone
Or select group
Or bigger community
How it going?

That important to reflect where we faithless before such conversion
What was happening in our journey that was moving us towards a deconstruct away from the place we where at?

How have we changed and what have we kept espically if the journey is currently a long one
Did we se others dropping away
Why
If you lose faith in something can you return
Does having faith in Church and your deconstructing mean that your faith in the Lord Jesus remains or does that lose something
Perhaps it may gain something

Listening to Vinyl

Do you ever get carried away listening to Vinyl

Curtis Davies, Harry Maguire, Josh Tymon and Shaun Maloney apparently have all left Hull City in recent weeks, although l think Maloney broke down, further with Ahmed Elmohamady and Kamil Grosicki likely to follow suit, another departure of Robertson and Huddlestone would leave Hull City in a similar situation to last summer.
Followers of Hull City would know what happened so 12 months on we are in same place and space as last season.
this long now affects so many things in my own life
which is a bit of an ongoing issue for the likes of myself.
entertainment
spiritual
economic well being
leisure time
entertainment
all in the long now

No more self serving then those belonging to LBGTP sexual communities

well actually l find it all a bit racist, and offensive.
Not just the LBGTP Sexual thing
but the naked except for paint along with the attack on religion.

I am not a Muslim, nor am l protector of Islam,

but this is just pure offence.

It intended to be so, what are you thinking when you perform this act.The act of writing those words on your placard, knowing it going to court distaste and offence.
Painting on a naked body along with your pride.
 in self centred actions.
It all about self, in the entire debate around LBGTP sexual, it all about self serving.
self promoting,
self importance,
worse self above any God or religion,
`oh but we are spiritual`.
Rubbish there is no spiritual without something
inside which is God given.
No more self serving then those belonging to LBGTP sexual communities.

border coulers

This means war, well it certainly means perhaps,
that some people are not talking to each other.
Perhaps diving place, could be yellow or red
or something beige or placid.

It's Monday in July...hospital . . Blessed

I had the weekend mainly bit tired
Die to health and heart failing
Hey ho l am well and aged that's allowed

Some time in the gardening l suppose they call it pottering
still tired me out cut the lawn feed and watered the plants
mainly those in greenhouse loads of green vegetables

James cook hospital then later collect son Matthew nice drive maybe something in a cafe
Walk perhaps some day soon swim in the North Sea
Reminded to ask God will bless all those attending hospital today
May you be confident in the skills of thelearned people you receive support and treatment from
Thank God for this place called NOW it where you are
It's where l am
This place called NOW perhaps to some of you at present
may feel a bit long if you got challenges it won't pass suddenly but in time
it will be your creative history

A young child died after a cancer aged six
He lived life cal to us
He had a smile that was as wide as forever . . .may you when facing a challange learn from him

`Broken` and the faith of the telly.

confidant, counsellor and confessor to a community struggling to reconcile its beliefs with the realities of daily life ....`Broken` on the BBC a great watch

That how some people describe Broken ,the programme aired recently on the BBC.
It about faith, common sense, and life. From the view point of a `catholic priest`
It hard to watch, but l would say essential.
Well scripted and the issues are so relevant,
not easy, but this is what TV is supposed to be about real drama.
watch and witness.
Discuss and share.
Think and act,
Pray and behave,     Just like your god given conscience will allow..

Sean bean as father Micheal in `Broken`

Common sense and theology , (that the working out of God in your everyday) ...
not always put together well.
This programme, `Broken`, will l feel be used to promote the right kind  of talking and praying.
Broken is about life in the UK as it is lived
it not nice it far from nice and it (society) needs to change

we need to change
I need to change,
we need to be more radical .
we need to act.
We need to discuss, share, act, and behave like God, through
his son Jesus calls us too in a more concerned ,loving, way towards the vulnerable and broken around us.

Gosh Faith....the Christian faith on the telly, positively portrayed.
Christianity and the BBC in some form of unity do not often see that!

Poetic justice

The socioeconomic of being here
This experimental episode called the north
Whispers hatred resentment
Poverty fear
Further it screams being without
Here the thinline seams possibly a million miles away
Social reality is there is nothing here to hold
Or desire to cling too
The rows of old worn out houses
Cluttered littered streets and gardens
Hopelessness reaches out
Like the mist that overs this place sometimes for days
We are shrouded in hopelessness
The streets of fast food takeaways
The betting shops all together
Alongside the boarded up rat infested shop fronts
It stinks poverty and hopelessness
As the poor can only choose the spinning wheels of the lottery
The betting shop
And the fast food rip off merchants

While the many police sirens wail
The birds tweet
The youth look backward to a time that's glorified
Time that never really excisted

Time passes slowly this side of the tracks
As another sucide victim heads up to the railway tracks

these things have stuck with me

spiritofthestreets thin line between heaven and hull

They say that truth is reflected in many images and this is true of the above
many years ago in the eighties
wow
l was named by others as the "spiritofthestreets"
due to the nature of where l worked and further the way l worked
it ha stuck with myself
l discovered quite by accident
while watching a TV programme called the `WIRE`
that there is a` THINLINE BETWEEN HERE AND HEAVEN` . . . .
where ever your here is!
That stuck as well, Stayed with me

..heaven
its paradise
the people are nice
some folk who know you are there
its so nice to be with someone you love when you are there

all you need is faith ..faith ..faith is all you need

HCFC hull city my team start the season like last year with fewer faces ..more money in account
owner who disregards the supporters
fans at odds...players wanting out
no real belief...tired
prepared not to learn and make same mistakes as previous . .
lacking leadership . . . .In many ways like your average Church

THAT COULD BE A TRUE STATEMENT

BUT LIKE SO MANY NEEDS SOME EFFORT TO WORK IT ALL OUT

AGAIN IS IT RELEVANT TO WHERE WE ARE THIS DAY

INDEED IS IT MORE RELEVANT TO WHERE WE ARE GOING THIS DAY AS A SOCIETY

SET THE PEOPLE FREE

life deconstructing

sometimes as we construct and deconstruct
move
emotions
feelings

life
reading
watching
hearing
walking
wrestling
remembering
reading people
drinking in a cafe
watching the rain fall on a pavement
hard to think

easy to stay in bed
easy to not talk
easy to keep the curtains closed
life
recall yesterday
hope for tomorrow
sat in the long now
life
faith
prayers

life
listen to others
listen to self
listen to music
listen to nature
hear nothing
hear voices
do not hear

close season antics at my local team

bit worried that it all becoming a bit like last few seasons at Hull City FC

With no new signings and lots of others leaving

this could lead to a unimpressive story of the season

although l often say it is only football
preparation is important

not very much happening at present

The Matthew blessing,

The Matthew blessing, May God grant us enough stupidity to believe? We can go from this place and make the world a better place, May we wi...

MAYBE WE WON`T MEET AGAIN

. . . she got a postcard in the mail
That just said Heaven, with a picture of the ocean and the beach
The simple words he wrote her
Said he loved her
How he'd hold her if his arms would reach
Wish you were here, wish you could see this place
Wish you were near,Wish I could touch your face
The weather's nice, it's paradise
It's summertime all year and there's some folks we know
They say, "Hello, "
I miss you so, wish you were here"
