when offering support for sick and disabled people, CAB Citizens Advice, has confirmed that problems associated with Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) is now the issue that Citizens Advice clients most commonly seek help with.
In the past year, Citizens Advice dealt with 457,759 problems to do with the widely-criticised benefit. Since 2008 the charity has helped people with nearly 1.5 million problems associated with ESA.
wow
the vulnerable under attack in Great Britain 2017
Yet we hear so little about this
Food banks in the UK exist and are committed to community built on diversity, tolerance, cooperation, and mutual respect; wishing to contribute to society. While hoping to demonstrate social responsibility.
Values are important to us, and we aim to live them out in all areas of our work.
Passionate about what we do and the difference it makes in the lives of others
Compassionate, give selflessly and put others before ourselves.
Hold ourselves accountable: Acknowledge and assume responsibility for actions, decisions, and consequences – as individuals and as an organisation.
Are innovative, with the ambition to pursue new and creative ideas that have the potential to change lives for the better.
Empower and encourage staff, volunteers and clients to take the initiative and achieve their best, in a safe environment where mistakes are viewed as learning opportunities.
All over the place the vulnerable are being supported by the faith community.
BUT here the rub, this is starling work, but without a challenge to injustice we will become more busy
have to work out the why,
why?
Why do the rich get richer.
Why is it that blighted estates where people have limited opportunities still develop and grow. Grow worse that whats we are talking about.
Yet other are getting richer and with that comes power!
often that power is with Authority
