Faith and 'lost message' (NOT) of Jesus by Rev Chalke

They said the 'lost message of Jesus' would be a controversial read.
However halfway through, l only see a message that heard throughout all my Church days.
The message of Jesus brings outsiders into the faith project.
Excludes those pious and exalted
It calls for examination of the hardness of following Jesus.
But returns to the shalom.
Acceptance is big issue in the read
Reflect further, but not sure the message is lost.
Certainly not in the harsh north.
This is how faith, converted practice of life , is lived together.
Perhaps more outsiders in my locality?
Among those on the edge where 'outsiders', always been and always lived among.
That brings a vitality to mission.
Deeper commitment to working all this following Jesus into the everyday.

It not a game

Life goes on sometimes with unique specialness

Sometimes my health can floor me and l struggle
Other times l am not and never will,be 100% but capable
When it's a struggle feels like a wreck
Marooned
Wasted
Struggle
But learnt that aged and make each day a bit special
So grateful for people connect and chat daily
Spoke with my friend this morning . .he was having a bad hair day..that's fine he proud of his looks
My son is the same way he very tidy lad not a slog guy bottoms and trainers guy
Then again perhaps that just my age thing now

The journey thinking at present about some deeper stuff theology but also thinking about practical
They go together in faith
Fun study reflection
Reading life
Walks along a crockery coast pausing at a wreck
Life it can be special
Spent lot of the last decade Alongside beaches and coast

4 Questions

 FOUR QUESTIONS CHURCH MUST ANSWER

In the midst of a historically horrible refugee crisis, why didn’t you actively pursue helping the poor, the destitute, and those in desperate need -

Why didn’t you recognize and fight systemic racism and inequality

Why were you so supportive of national agendas associated with violence, destruction, and death?

Why did you crave martial, economic, and political power when God has already warned you against putting faith in such foolish and temporary things? -

Powerless and simple solutions from Bishop Kevin of south Hull

It's a world of moving episodes
Challenging issues
Broken further damaged relationships
Simple things like cup of tea
Walk in warm sun
Break from cold chilly wind and suffering climate

Suits often
Ignore powerless contribute to them not being listen too
Immigration

Wars bombing terror hurt inhuman behaviour
All makes dark moments

Reflect
Pray more
Be aware of the simple ways l can bring comfort
Challenge abuse l witness
Remove any threats by trying to be more like Christ in thought actions and deeds
 That's my journey
Started with some comment about simple
Way to go

From Bishop Kevin of South Hull

"God wants humans to govern his world and he wants them to do so wisely and with special regard for the poor and needy," said Tom Wright.former Bishop guy who l met when diocese youth worker in Easington.

God will hold rulers and magistrates to account for the discharge of this responsibility. In other words, neither anarchy nor tyranny.

Personally I suppose in the tradition of paying to Caesar the Church, fuelled by passages like John 16, we feel that it as part of our Spirit-led Christian responsibility to speak the truth to power, both in the sense of underlining the truth, and articulating it.

This following Jesus is no easy thing it has to be worked at throwing challenges every day.

You can see it in their eyes ...
Eyes of determination
Eyes of desperation
Eyes looking forlorn
Eyes of hope
Eyes of responsibility
The occupation must end!

from anothers view

my mate Andy is a normal run off the mill Christian,
so he been spending some time in Palestine on the Israeli checkpoint and sends this
it all about what you see in peoples eyes

You can see it in their eyes ...
Eyes of determination
Eyes of desperation
Eyes looking forlorn
Eyes of hope
Eyes of responsibility
The occupation must end!

You can see it in their eyes ...
Seeking eyes
Cheeky eyes
Playful eyes
Acknowledging eyes
Tired eyes
The occupation must end!

You can see it in their eyes ...
Eyes of waiting
Eyes of solidarity
Eyes of youth
Eyes of age
Eyes of prayer
The occupation must end!

Yet in the midst of all this humiliating experience, I have found the workers to be mostly good-natured and at times good-humoured. It demonstrates their resilience where, for five days a week, month after month, year after year, they have to endure such an unnecessary experience so as to cross ‘to the other side’ (meaning Israel) to maintain a livelihood for the sake of their families and themselves.

meanwhile in Malta

Nationalist MEP Roberta Metsola has received a death threat on Facebook after her speech in the aftermath of the Cologne attacks in the European Parliament last week.
It is not the first time that Roberta Metsola was the target of hate speech because of her views on migration. In 2014, a man had written that he hoped she would be gang-raped by illegal immigrants, later saying that his account had been hacked

worship the same God

l got such a lot of time for Steve Chalke and his influence is huge and excellent witness, often we miss the point as l personally feel Steve try's to bring us into a debate.
He undoubtedly is a great Christian leader.
Fact.
however at times he needs to keep out, perhaps joining in a conversation from a London base again only muddies the waters, the real image has a lot to do with male Muslim identity, who are followers of a false prophet whose vile teachings, and damaging words, later works, need to be exposed, Sidneycordie views below echo this better then myself.
what l in my view feel Steve is asking for is desire to present Jesus as a Radical lifestyle we should follow and present to others.
Linking it to Government directions on the Islamic Radicalization program is spin which not sure, certainly don`t think, works well.

What a view what a loving God

Yes as l walked in the setting sun full of praise for God
That he would want me
Call me
Ask me
That God would search my heart
Complete myself by being in a relationship with a humble no one like me
Glory be to God on high
May l always follow Jesus and seek his ways
That's me being pretty deep

Faith in Jesus

Forgive us Lord, please, for our hardness of heart, for not feeling deep, down in our hearts, for our brothers and sisters around the world. Soften our hearts Lord, make us weep over what makes You weep, break our hearts with what breaks Yours. Father, we lift our brothers and sisters into Your loving arms. Bring them Peace Lord

. . . Soon the car arrived at the first checkpoint. ISIS guards stood with firearms and swords. Abu had prayed about this moment—for courage to stand for his beliefs.
'Who are you?' a guard asked.
'We are Christians leaving Mosul, because we are not permitted to stay in this Muslim land,' Abu replied.
The guard, now joined by others, refused to let the family pass. Instead, they placed a call to superiors. Thirty minutes later, two shiny SUVs arrived. Young men brandishing new, expensive firearms stepped out and began peppering the family with questions.
Abu answered honestly: 'Yes, we are Christians.'
'Leaving is no longer an option for you and the rest of your infidel family,' said the leader. 'Convert to Islam or be killed. It is that simple. It is an easy choice . . .,

he refused he would not,did not let go of his faith
a Faith that means so much
a Faith he shares with myself
a Faith so misrepresented
a Faith demonstrated as important and relevant by this great man and many like him leaving Syria looking just for peace

 we got the snow

can you feel the brotherly love

Something to make me feel better on Saturday
2.0 win for Hull City not good when ill and poorly
never really taken health for granted
so limited in this currant state of affairs

MO Diame says a "brotherly" relationship with strike partner Abel Hernandez can inspire the Tigers push for Championship glory.
Diame and Hernandez were both on target for the Tigers on Saturday as a 2-0 win at Blackburn Rovers lifted Steve Bruce's side top of the table.
Hernandez opened the scoring with his 17th of a prolific campaign when latching on to Diame's through-ball before the roles were reversed to seal another valuable win for the Tigers.
The pairing have now combined to score nine goals in six league games since the turn of the year and Diame says an ability to communicate in Spanish has helped the double act to spark

Loved it and the time went by so quick
Also forgot how much backache you get collecting vinyl
Placing it on the decks
Putting back into covers
Selecting another vinyl
Oh but the fun now how spiritual is that
Just great fun listening to my records
Also found some articles among the record sleeves
From old music mags
Wow
But that was so long ago
Still this racks of vinyl gone with me most everywhere

remix the community

Meanwhile in my old home town ,where l was born Hull ,
from our local Newspaper
Kurds themselves try to pick out those who hold extreme views or who may be associated with Mullah Krekar.(Hidden terrorist organization).
"We look for them, at the mosque in the community. We know there are some who may try to brainwash our young people. Young people can be vulnerable, they are promised everything when they have little."

It remains unlikely that the investigation that led to All Saints Street will be expanded.
The Kurds and police suggest little evidence of a jihadist recruitment drive in Hull.
now does that not sound a wee nit naïve
However, despite what is being widely seen as a counter-terrorist success, the presence of a suspected Islamic terrorist in a house off Beverley Road remains unsettling for the police, the Kurdish population and the broader community.
however lets not blind side multi community, the way ahead
For the first time, Hull has found itself directly linked to those who hold the twisted ideology of the terrorists who brought horror to the streets of Paris.
THE FIRST TIME NO BEEN QUITE A FEW TIMES

MOST EXTRACTS FROM HullDailyMail

when we mix all sorts of people in a liberal stance called
multi community then we going to get some weird side affects starting with followers of a `false prophet` wanting to kill us infidels

Mundane in England that's me in the corner

a cultural walk from Żejtun to Żabbar on the occasion of the 400th anniversary of the elevation of the Żejtun parish to Parroċċa Matriċi, following the establishment of the Żabbar parish.

The walk will start off from the parvis of St Clement’s church at 9am. On the way they will be viewing buildings of historical and architectural importance, among others, Bishop Labini’s country house, the Chapel of tal-Plier, the church of Santa Marija tal-Indirizz, the residence of the late president Agatha Barbara and the original site of the Ġnien tal-Kmand.

The Misraħ and Biċċieni areas of Żabbar will also be visited.

The final stop will be the Parish Museum of Żabbar, known as il-Mużew tas-Santwarju

You know what l just might but then again l might not.

But it does sound doable and in the warm sun what better way to spend a few hours now what did l do with me boots.

Anyway more chilly weather and storms to look forward too

The system wrong getting worse

Water rates to rise by2.1%
Council tax to rise by 3.3%
Wages to remain lower
Benefits capped
The poor get poorer
I get angrier as again vulnerable mostly affected

When will the promise of a bright new tomorrow come along

Let freedom reign from every blighted communities
From wasteland and desolate environment
Let freedom call out to the oppression
Let them know we can
We must
We will
Fight back
We will unite
We must oppose
For too long now the vulnerable the poor those living among the wasteland have been unheard

Feb 3, 2016

The system and its failings

DWP and abuse relating to those on ESA yes we know but any ideas how the sick can fight back?

Many tweets,Facebook postings, comments on other sites

But how can the vulnerable week, poor, fight back?

Saw a Syrian man on the news today saying he can't live on the £35 this government gives him
He recognised he got housing free and no council tax or water rates
£35 that's more then most people got spare
I just struggle to understand the logic
We allowed him here and his first task is to complain about free money he gets from this infidel state
This is life simple as that
Life is a struggle

The freckin wind . .  too much

is it an insult to call me an infidel?

INFIDELS      person who does not believe in religion or who adheres to a religion other than one's own "they wanted to secure the Holy Places from the infidel "synonyms: unbeliever
, disbeliever, nonbeliever, agnostic, atheist

so l claim to be a follower of Jesus trying to live by his teachings and code, which is not religious
that kind of an apologists slant but it working
l heard on the Nomad podcast yesterday how they were asked
are you religious because we cannot hire to religious groups
they replied "no we are followers of Jesus"
oh that alright then was the response
love it
love it

anyway when we march we march as infidels

SO THE QUESTION IS AM l AN INFIDEL

well actually l hope so
Some philosopher such as Thomas Pain, David Hume, George Holyoake, Charles Bradlaugh, Voltair and Roussea earned the label of infidel or freethinkers, both personally and for their respective traditions of thought because of their attacks on religion and opposition to the Church. They established and participated in a distinctly labeled, infidel movement or tradition of thought, that sought to reform their societies which were steeped in Christian thought, practice, laws and culture. The Infidel tradition was distinct from parallel anti-Christian, sceptic or deist movements, in that it was anti-theistic and also synonymous with atheism. These traditions also sought to set up various independent model communities, as well as societies, whose traditions then gave rise to various other socio-political movements such as secularis in 1851, as well as developing close philosophical ties to some contemporary political movements such as socialism and the French Revolution

glad there no big movements in the transfer market yesterday for my home town team Hull City

Today news

Briton Tareena Shakil who took her toddler son to Syria has been jailed for six years for joining so-called Islamic State.
Now the liberals coming out she didn't want too
She was misled
Why can't we just have her walking around free as a birdie

Well one reason
She has not shown any remorse
That a big factor
Also no one knows her true reasons or is she just a plant
Mistrust and confusion
We are neither a Islamic satellite nor an English state
So we have to be cautious
Six years is very lenient and not lengthy

Other sad news

The newspapers carried some really great tribute to Sir Terry
He made people feel loved me they where being listened to
That a mega skill
He was also a humble human God bless the music and all those associated with it!

Wish you were here, wish you could see this place
Wish you were near,Wish I could touch your face
