Journalist: What is your priority if you had to choose between hanging on to what you’ve got or bringing somebody in?

Steve Bruce: Hanging on to what we’ve got. When I look at our squad today, we’ve got 24 players and a very good squad which is why we’re sitting where we are in the table. We need to keep a hold of that and, as I’ve said, if there is anybody who can improve us then we’ll try and act. Keeping hold of what we’ve got is key, though, and I’ve said that from the outset. With three days to go, touch wood, nothing has happened and if I get my way, nothing will.
