One of the issues for those watching with an eye on the UK is that we see so many life's destroyed by poverty plus stuff related.
The drugs are part of this scenario,
the crime is part of this scenario,
along with faithlessness,
Lack of funding. Critically.
These are all Institutional sins
We can pray, even dialogue, but many more in the Church run away from these issues, our faith becomes weak and shallow, pointless and irrelevant.
Fundings prevented longtime employment of many with a pastoral heart for the youths.
Love the city,
wish to proclaim its goodness
but reality is that we are disregarded.
Even in the Christian world those pastoral concerns are ignored,
the problems ignored,
now form apart of normal life.
This is a sin an Institutional sin,the Church is guilty of a type of spiritual masterbation where it stop having intercourse with those living plus serving the inner cities.Yet they wish to sleep with power brokers,
not get hands dirty with real mission,
because temple need to be maintained.
So real life's,lived like those close to the Wire or environments similar become forgotten.
We point the finger and gossip about benefit culture,
While we 'duel sin'
Not resourcing those committed to the issues evident in shows like the wire!
